That's a nice vague statement. Why not? Do they know less than anyone else? Do you judge skill and knowledge based on salary? If so this pretty much explains why you are so messed up with your zone policy.
-
Um even if mod was removed. It's actually a good thing to remove powers if a person has been inactive for a month. If they need the powers back when they become active again, they should just ask, and they will get their previous powers returned to them. So if anything your complaint should be that they are taking forever to give back your powers. lol If you weren't inactive and powers were removed that's another story. But it seems like you have your powers according to hakaku.

You and hakaku are jokes to even be saying subspace programmer is worth 50k a year. They are not inexperienced or bad because they are jobless. They are jobless because they are fresh out of university for C++ or whatever they learned. And companies like Google, will not hire them, until they actually coded some flash games, applications, and have 5 years experience, or a portfolio. They either take small jobs per commission until then, or do free lance work to build up a portfolio. So later on they will be hired. This in no way means the person sucks because they just finished university. Priitk moved on to bigger and better things, of course his salary is better. What a shit tard example you have given. I would be more interested to know what their salary was while they were creating subspace back in 1996. Even more so back then this game was actually the latest in multiplayer game play. So it's still way unfair to use Priitk as an example even from 15 years ago. But to sum it up his salary was shit even back then when this game was new. Stop trying to prove a point you already lost. Lol @ Hakaku, so some idiot will pay 50k a year to 5 programmers to make a game like subspace, maybe slightly better, just so it ends up being a free browser MMO, and they even have to pay for the server? You must be joking me. So I AM DOWN 250k now + server costs, because I wanted to make a free game? You guys are ridiculous. This game is worth shit, so any programmers you hire to code for it, or remake it, would also be earning shit.

For subspace? lol I'm talking about subspace. You don't need 75k for a coder for subspace. But yes in general it's probably a good idea to have a coder who would only work for 75k+ And really if someone is jobless for 1 year, which is the case of a a lot of people. They would be making zero an hour. So if you hired them for 14$ they really have nothing to complain about. The whole point is that they are new programmers. They have no portfolio so big companies won't hire them. They need like 5 years experience under their belt, and to have completed some projects, flash games, applications etc. Now they can code 5 years pretty much for free. Or get payed 14$ an hour for a project that would build their portfolio. Distort, Im from Canada. And yeah FOR SUBSPACE, I would pay by page. Or even 100$ per a bot. If it was only bots. Or maybe 25 cent's per line of code. I wouldn't pay by hour, because this is long distance, you can sit on your ass and eat from the fridge for 20 hours, then code for 1 hour, and say the job took you 21 hours.

This kid is so desperate he has to google search the words that emotionally broke him. rofl

14$ an hour is good for a coder who can't get hired by a real company. I know plenty of coders who sit on their ass for 1 year with no job, and then give up and go back to school to try another profession. This is more true of graphic designers though. But bottom line is a coder in SS is not worth 50k a year. This what my whole point was. Maybe if this was Diablo 3, then you would be looking at a cost of 3 million to hire a team, and develop the game. However this is 2d spaceships, free, from 1997. Most coders can code something viable for this game in 1 hour. Whereas Diablo 3 would take 1 month to get something as useful. I could pay coders here 20$ per every page of code, and after 1000 pages have a new client, and it would have only cost me 20,000$. And right now there is 3 or 4 clients, and no one is getting paid to make them. So lay off the 20$ is not enough money. As opposed to what? doing it for nothing like so many people already have?

I e-mailed MTN, but got no reply. I think I left him two messages also. Mostly just asked for banfree in 17th so I could play Sockey, but he didn't even want to banfree me in a zero population zone I guess, because of a lack of a reply. He seems active enough. Pfft Losers. =/ Doesn't even matter anymore my ban is over. I was talking about Talon Claw mostly.

I said threaten? I said something like I tell you, everyday. But yeah I'm terrible at self discipline. So I it was only once. I didn't actually technically want to harass you, since you never banned me. I would tell mom everyday, but I guess I am too old to waste time on her. Plus I haven't been on SS much, if I was on ss more I would probably get bored, and message Mom everyday. One thing I liked doing was logging into zones that I was net-banned from. So your chat boxes get spammed 50-100 times with a message saying the Troll God Is trying to enter the zone. Anyway you did support the net-ban? Why on a rule standpoint, I have no clue, all I did was talk. On a personal stand-point sure it makes sense, you just don't like me. Banned from one zone is fine, but all of them? Too much. As mom said you are the one who deals with net-bans. She just deals with names, or some crap that she fed me. She shouldn't have banned me to begin with, according to her, BUT you weren't online etc. So you could have just unbanned me when you found out it was for basically nothing. Anyway you said you would have banned me anyway if you were online. So it's not just by association. It's your support, and lack of action, and the fact that it is your responsibility and not Moms, which means it's like you did ban me. Sorry for long winded post, tired, too lazy to make it shorter.
-
Those 100 people hate me. It makes it true. Shhh now. Not to mention, which I am mentioning twice now, they are your precious DSB staff who Polix and Mom fall head over heals to give netbans for. You morons got involved with them for netbans. Rather then mind your own business and let them ban me from DSB and be done with it, etc etc. Why is their word on who to netban true? And not their word that Talon Claw is my squad? Especially when they hate me. Give me my squad Talon Claw, thanks. Nobody even wants that name. It's a crappy name. More proof that I invented it.
-
ROFL 500K? There is a reason your poor, it's because you think a 2d game requires 500k investment. Maybe 50k. Do you know what you can do with 500k. How many projects you can fund with 500k, that pale in comparison to subspace.

When I was born I trolled the doctor to death, and then killed the Anti Christ who was being born in the next room. That's why all these end of the world dates never happened. Because the troll god saved you humans so he could troll you for another century.

Acid Rain has never been a "Friend". I dunno why this whole "PoLiX sent me from Chaos" bs started. I never met the guy until one day I stopped in EG, he found out I was netop, and began bugging me. Being I haven't even been hanging out in Chaos for a "couple of years" even, and being "he's a newcomer" hth can someone be a couple of years, and a new comer? Pat flat old told me he was Acid Rain. And as I always tell all you and your nn2 buddies, there is no alias command on the biller. Sorry, can't do it. As for the ban, he found a *unknown* squad and promised to use it for EGFL. I told him my rules for lending those squads for league use (which only he has ever broken), and he agreed. He then went and traded the squad for some names without even telling the squad members, and they were still on the squad even. So naturally I told him he broke our agreement, and he faced the consequences. It had nothing to do with "hiding his alias". I've read you guys posting this more than enough times on EG forums (I do visit and read them still), and I typically laugh when acid calls me his "friend" (especially since I won't give him any of the squads he wants). But figure since it is here now, and I am logged in here all the time, might as well reply. edit: http://www.extreme-games.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=25962&p=485980#p485980 - there, replied on eg forum. Lol you gave my squad which I owned to some smurf noob who is never online. A smurf joins my squad somewhere in mid season, probably some veteran, or someone who will never play again, and he ends up getting my squad tag? You don't even bother to tell me this guys aliases so I can contact him. You don't even want to talk to the squad members on my MSN who are actually still active. I already told you to ask anyone in DSB. Even your trusted DSB staff who you do special netban favors for. And they would have told you Talon Claw was my squad. What more evidence do you need then 100 people admitting it? Seriously.

polix i just want to let you know: you were being discussed in EG forum Re: Acid Rain Postby Monke on July 5th, 2011, 4:04 am Honest answer is: if you're looking to hire someone, in real life or in ss the first thing I consider is 'are they stable?' You could be some super-wizz genius with the greatest ideas in the world but if you're not stable then you're no good to be in any position of authority: this quality is the minimum requirement before any of your positive attributes can be considered. You strike me as someone who can't control themselves fully and is prone to wild outbursts. Sure right now these are only verbal things but the worry would be that they'd extend to abuse of powers if you were given mod. Here are two examples from this thread: 1) When you were aliasing as genny I knew this very early on. Even though I found it hilarious I never revealed the info. Could you do this? Even if the person aliasing insulted you the way Carat just did? 2) You mentioned polix, he represents exactly what I'm saying about stability and the worst possible outcome of an unstable person with power. When he was a mod in eg he went batshit crazy and tried to ban the entire zone... Granted I don't know the guy well but I'd have a very hard time trusting this person again and it baffles me he has such power now. Monke Admin Posts: 1278 Joined: October 12th, 2002, 6:12 pm monkes an smod in EG oh yeah i threw in alittle something about you too... Re: Acid Rain Postby Carat on July 7th, 2011, 9:13 pm About polix: This guy is crazy and has no right a netop. I mean honestly, when acid was aliased as pat i asked polix if he could confirm that pat wasnt acid rain. He replied with, "yeah hes been bugging me here in SVS for a couple of years so i sent him over to eg. Hes a newcomer dont worry." This is outrageous. A netop flat out lying to protect a friend. And then he "netbans" acid for a coupla days so no one suspects him in helping alias. Absolutely ridiculous. When i asked sann to aliascheck pat she said "polix already did". I mean really? Polix needs to go, he could easily get drunk one night and just crash all of SS and reset all names just for the fuck of it. http://www.extreme-games.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=25946&start=30 The only reason Polix is more unstable now, is because the Troll God has arrived here. Also for future reference, I have been given Sysop in two zones already. And I have never abused. I even relinquished both positions, because of Inactivity, my trolling takes up most of my free time. I would rather someone more active take the sysop positions. I was also given ER in DSB. However I declined. And said I would rather be a referee, or OP. Greenish offered me ER. He is the only one on DSB staff besides the_snake, who would consider hiring me, and I said it was okay. I could have easily gotten into dsb staff if I accepted his offer, and then from there gotten REF or OP eventually. But the point is this is not power to me. I only wanted ref to help them out, since they are severely lacking in staff. And they still spit in my face and won't hire me. Knowing that I have already had plenty of opportunity to join staff already. Truthfully if you want real power, it's in the form of friendship. If you have many friends, and get a long with everyone, then you have a power beyond anything Polix might have. So it's obvious I don't want power, when I troll people. Trolls do not have many friends. I am also way more fair, and incapable of abuse, because I don't like bans, and I could never harm someone like that. Whenever I play games I always play the good characters, I can never play an evil character. The only reason I kill in subspace is because the person who dies gets a shiny new ship each time. So it is technically doing them a favor. However when I was on Ultima online, I could never actually loot people dry after killing them. I always felt bad. Though I bet Polix would be a PK/red and kill everyone and loot them all day. However I never even looted the Player Killers, and they eventually became good friends. I did however play a Pirate, which allowed for the nature of the guild I had to be free compared to strict PK guilds, or Knight guilds. Truly I would never abuse because I actually enjoy talking to people. You can argue and talk to me all day, insult me all day. The troll god considers this his playground, and play time. I would take it in stride very easily. Yes I reply back, but is my nature to be here 24/7 replying forever. Persistence makes the best trolls. There are other traits, like ignorance or Narcissism. People claim I was not loved by my mother, but you fail at psychology, so the troll god will educate you. It's actually the complete opposite, my family has loved me too much, and sheltered and overprotected me. I will get into the other traits of a troll later. Truly through at the core of everything I do, it is because I care. I ultimately care more than all of you. I am also pretty direct and honest about myself. Yes if caring is a crime then you should not be in charge. For only people who are capable of caring should have any positions of power. As well if I ever do cry, it's because tears comfort me.

Well said, all true.
-
You could just borrow a friends iphone lol
-
Well brain will do it if he has an Iphone? I thought he was saying he still won't do it, because coding it will waste 20 hours of his time, and he makes a potential, 3000$ in that time.

Exactly. If I hire a consultant to advise me on what should be done in a given situation, I'd expect them to know what they're talking about. If they know what they're talking about, why wouldn't they be able to do the job themselves? I think that's the difference between a good consultant and a bad consultant. Avast is just being an idiot. That much is obvious. A specialist in an area of knowledge, or a field of work, who consults, would obviously have to know their field, if it's engineering, then they would know how to build things. This still doesn't mean consultants build things for people. Then it becomes contract work? doesn't it? The company hired them for more than consulting, if they are doing the actual work. Instead of having their own team of engineers do it, and the consultant working with them.
-
Consulting 1.employed or involved in giving professional advice to the public or to those practicing the profession: a consulting physician. Advice 1.an opinion or recommendation offered as a guide to action, conduct, etc.: I shall act on your advice. 2.a communication, especially from a distance, containing information: Now I hope you know the difference between actions and words? Building prototypes is action. Advice or consulting are words, in which someone else takes the action and builds the prototypes themselves based on your input. I wish people would have learned more in University than just their job description.
-
So why do you call it consulting when you design and build prototypes?

Here I'll help you. http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/8807/coolbro.jpg

Sorry so how do you inform people about electrical engineering? Is it an individual or a company? And what exactly do you do, tell them how to build a circuit?

LOL yes more bans for just being a jerk. You remind me of that caller on the radio the other day. The topic was about Jury's for court rooms. And he calls saying Jury's are not good, and most of people on them are old, and probably uneducated, and then because they are older people, they have all these prejudices. And I started laughing. The guy talks about Prejudice when he is prejudice himself. Even more funny he says old people don't know anything, as if they didn't live long enough. Anyway jerk thanks for posting in my thread. Maybe take your own advice and don't rationalize with me. I don't think you have the intelligence to do it anyway.
-
Lol 150$ for your consultation. No one's advice is worth that much. People who use the phone a lot, and are not at home, would probably use the app if it was 10$.

Infantry is a great game. I think I'll play it again. My favorite was Mechanized, and Bug Hunt.

Actually he was also net-banned a few times on different aliases, and banned from a few other zones for cross-zone spamming squads during league matches. So no doubt, that was just the last straw. Still if the rules somewhere said you get 10 straws. And I was on my last straw. Then sure I understand. But they don't, so everything should be treated on a case by case basis. Not on the past, or past events. I don't see why it should be cumulative, or why we need to teach lessons? Are you here to parent people? But yeah he has broken some rules. It would be interesting to have statistics on subspace rule breaking. I am curious of all of subspaces 1000+ people, how many break specific zone rules, how many do major offenses which grant them net-bans, and how many do serious things like cheating? I bet we would find almost 50% of the population has broken some rule. Then you guys would not look so badly at the few people who stand out.
