Except who pays for it. But even further than that, it belongs to who plays there, so if you have 100 people, 1% of the zone belongs to each person. It's not spidernl's zone, unless he pays for the server. So what he want's and what he thinks solely should not matter at all. Instead it's what the collective community might want or think. If even one person likes your trolling, or is enjoying a conversation with you. Then you are breaking no rules. The other 10 people have to use ignore. People in development and staff need to realize, what being a real volunteer means. Because that's what they are. They are there not to serve themselves, but to help others, and build the community up. If you are harming your own players because you can't handle a few words, or feel your entitled to the world for all your work, then you are doing nothing but harming the own zone you want to create. If you can't deal with people, or don't want to, and if the only way you can volunteer is by doing your own personal shit for everything, then you need to quit, because your no longer a volunteer but an idiot.

Yet I was still a thorn as long as possible and they deserved it for the 5 years of fail league, and bringing the zone down, keeping secrets, lying to the general population, and half assedness of devving, among other failures like doing only what they felt was needed, personal preference all the way from the changes, events, to the rules. It's not like they ever felt the zone belonged to the community, and maybe they should listen and make something people actually want and asked for. DSB doesn't have 25 population because subspace is dying, if you think that then you are an epic retard. Think harder. And it's not because of my epic trolling either. In fact the zone fell farther after I was banned. I take screenshots constantly, and logs, if you feel you can deal with me, then good luck to you. I will be there shortly. There is I saying. Want and need are different things. I don't want access. And I am 12 years on this game, and 25 years alive. If I wanted some type of position, power, or ability. I am sure in 12 years I could have gotten it. Just the same if I was some murderer in real life, I am sure in 25 years I would have done something bad and gotten caught by now. And being a sysop, zone owner, or programmer/forum admin requires a lot of dedication, of course I can probably bring levels of dedication beyond your definition of the word. The only difference is I love to deal with ANYONE and some of you only like dealing with people you like. But it's too much of a burden to even a be a squad leader, let alone sysop or anything else with access/privileges. Which is why I retired after bringing my squad to DSB league 6 times. It's fun playing casually. And you have to understand I have already been offered sysop like three times, mostly in the later years when I really began to troll too. I am just not ambitious in the same way others are. Sure I could make an amazing kick ass zone, and have 100 people a day on it. I can, my talents can easily do that. Especially the population part. The zone could even be shitty and I could get 100 people there. I am a thousand percent confident, not out of ignorance but because I have done it before. But before it was 1000 people. So yes I can make an amazing zone. With 100 people, have everyone like me, change subspace completely. Easily done. But I don't go around making zones based on my personal preferences. Because what I want doesn't matter. And I am more interested in being Infamous now. I only need access to the forums, because I am not some pro CSS coder. When I worked with CSS on my squad forums, it was a lot of trial and error, tutorials, and copy and paste work. There was no document, and type and visualize in my head. I actually had to visualize the changes I made in the code, by publishing it and viewing the changes. So I COULD learn faster and finish quicker. If XAMPP can help me do that then I don't mind dedicating a few hours a day to getting an arcade running. If not I probably DO need access. But notice in my first post I did ask "If there are an applications I can use to help me" So thanks for informing me of one.

I think that is more of an observation. I will make HS mods define what swearing is, and all words. You will find I can walk a thin line very well. In fact if you think swearing is how you will get me, you have no clue. There will be plenty of controversy on things you never even expected, and all within the rules. You don't want me in HS. Zones with clearly defined rules are the best for that. Zones that hide staff and don't have rules displayed everywhere are more tricky to deal with.

I can always stop by HS and show mods a different type of player that they never dealt with before. I am sure they will be so busy abusing powers on me, that they won't have time for anyone else. Anyway an arcade does hold my interest, so I wouldn't mind giving it a try to get one running.

The coders have gone MIA on both the arcade projects. Actually hadn't released a new version of them in quite some time. So being IPB has upgraded, probably be another 5-6months before we see any attempts. If you're willing to work on the downloads section, no coding is needed. I can probably get an arcade up sooner than 6 months. All you need to do is trust me with the access. What type of coding is this? CSS? PHP? Any resources, or applications your coders used to help them? What version of IPB is this. Can't you just find templates, and help online for making arcades, and uploading various games to it?

Lynx when you unpack FiraDisk.zip, you get something like FiraDisk (with all their files) AutoUnattended.xml and a ISO folder. You put all your ISO's into that ISO folder. And you name them according to what Menu.lst has. I already did that, just never stated that I did. All I said was that I followed their tutorial and it doesn't work. Which means I think I did all the obvious. My ISO happens to be named Win7.ISO anyways so no editing was required. I still don't understand how even if Grub located the ISO it would unpack it? and then run the bootmngr, or setup? This whole process doesn't make sense to me. And creating a bootable ISO of windows 7? Is that what I am doing? Does that mean I need to use WAIK to edit the ISO further to make it bootable? I am trying to make windows 7 bootable from a USB stick. I was hoping not only to boot Windows 7 Professional, but maybe ultimate, both 64, and 32 bit, and to have Ultimate BOOT cd on it also. I was hoping once it's functional to use grub and make the menu pretty and add graphics. But I agree having Linux, maybe ubuntu on a USB disk would be nice. And not just bootable, but operational,. So I could insert the USB into any computer and open the Linux OS on it. However I had a hard time doing this 4 years ago. Maybe things changed, and there is more information on how to accomplish it.

All these computer experts on ssforums, none of them know how to boot windows from USB. Come on Dezmond, I thought computers are your thing!

It's almost as lame as a movie trailer.. So I would say if you want to do this for a living and get hired your on the right track. Does anyone actually watch movies after seeing trailers similar to this, only the mindless masses. If I saw this trailer, would I play the game, or close the trailer. I would be embarrassed, and close the trailer. The trailer is lacking in any actual creativity. It doesn't present subspace in any new way. Use some imagination, think about subspace, what's interesting, how to present it. If all you could come with is showing footage of ships exploding, then your obviously missed the point of the game, and aren't the one to be making this trailer. FYI The most people I ever met from around the world, was Finland, Sweden, Israel, Australia, Japan, USA, Canada, UK, very rare to find anyone from anywhere else, even the countries I listed, except Finland and UK. Bring back the arcade to keep me busy

Lets assume right now the system is something like 5 tries a day. (even though its probably more) No matter the name you use. Since I can do 5 tries on Tycho Chelchu, and then switch back to Falconeer with a proper pass, and it counts as too many login attempts. This means basically 5 to 10 tries a day, maximum. If we switch to five tries per a name. This means If I have 20 names I want a password to, I can brute force each name 4 times. And keep going for as many names as I want passwords to. And then tomorrow do the same thing. But either way even with the current 5 tries a day, as opposed to 5 tries a name. That's still 365x5 attempts. And to a hacker, or a troll time doesn't really matter, they are not in rush to get passwords. It doesn't have to be that very same day. If it takes 5 attempts everyday for a year, they will do it, and be happy with that. So all this does is just annoy us players. And if a player really wants a secure password, they should just make it long and have letters, and numbers in it. In my opinion you could even make it so attempts on names you dont use are limited to maximum 5 tries per a day, no matter the name. But the billing server recognizes valid names you have passwords too, and will treat those names separately for you. Or just make it like other systems where if you attempt to login to many times, it sends an e-mail to the e-mail that the name is signed up with.

I'm not disputing the lock out, I am saying to make the lockouts specific to the names people are trying to access to much.

Assume I had an old name called Tycho Celchu, I think I might remember the password. I try five different passwords, they don't work. I now give up. And change to Troll God nickname, or Falconeer, or Avast. I put my correct password, and I get locked out of the game. The game says I tried to login to many times. Explain how it's brute force when I changed nicks I am trying to login to? Really did this escape your thought? If the point of lockout is to prevent brute force, YOU ARE NO LONGER brute forcing if you changed the nick your logging into. It's a new nick with correct password, you shouldn't be locked out. That's why it should count logins per name. Not logins in total. Suppose however I go back to Tycho Celchu and try login for the 6th time. Then it should just lock me out from logging into that name for a few days. That is what I call preventing brute force. Whatever you call what they are doing now, is obviously wrong, and not logical.

I am trying to boot windows 7 from a USB stick. I am using tutorial 43. http://sites.google....ials/firawiniso You use RmprepUSB to prepare the USB stick (format, make partition etc) Then you put Firadisk onto the USB. You put the ISO'S you want use into the ISO folder. So I used a Windows 7 ISO, and a UBCD503 ISO. ubcd is Ultimate Boot CD. Here is the website. As you can see you get all these features with it. http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ Then you use RMprepUSB to install Grub4dos, which gives you a grub file on the USB stick Then you make a text file, and you put your code into it, and name it Menu.lst I am wondering if the code they are using is accurate and works? Can someone go over this code and inform me if it can possibly be written better or if it has errors? My problem is when I boot from the USB grub loads the menu. I select windows 7 install, and then I either get error 15, or error 21, and I don't know why. Of Course I have gotten Windows 7 to boot from a USB Stick already. Without FiraDisk. I just do the following. This works perfectly fine, of course you are not using ISO'S you just copy every file, the whole content of windows 7 CD onto the USB disk after. I don't know how to get this method to work for UBCD503.ISO. Or to involve multiple versions of windows. Grub is good for that because it should give up 10 options, and when you pick one, it goes to the ISO.

The best option is that it should allow you to login on your normal name no matter how many failed attempts you have on a previous name, since the password would be correct on your normal name. But it wont let you login on the name you attempted more than 5+ times, for the rest of the day. Basically it should be counted per name, and not total tries despite the name.

I don't want to waste time with details if no one is interested in helping, or doesn't know grub. So I was just waiting for one of those two options before I get into detail. Besides curiosity does drum up interest.

Does anyone know Grub or understand programming enough to pick it up fast? I can walk you through what I'm trying to do if your interested in helping. It might also be useful for yourself sometime.
