Note that we've had quite a few good-sized (4v4 or larger) flag games in SWE aside from SWR Reunion Day (the first one). Our zone is populated, it just isn't populated 24/7/365.

I agree with Samapico's !@#$%^&*essment of what Bak- meant by 'hacking'. Standard netbans for cheating (or 'hacking') are 365 days long these days. IMHO, I do not think Bak- was treated unfairly. If he wants to contest this, the best way to do so would not be by (further) derailing this thread to complain about his netban. Rather, he should file a netban dispute ticket and the BanG Administrators will review his case.

This thread comprises much fail indeed. 1) I didn't even know this thread existed until just now, as I no longer routinely read HS forums. 2) Hence, I definitely didn't agree to participate in any such 'open thread duel'. 3) Ani left out that he was the one who started the whole thing by calling nike a [insert banned obscenity here]. It wasn't really necessary, but I thought I'd defend nike's honor. In retrospect, I should have merely ignored Ani. But what's done is done. 4) The 'battle' had nothing to do with nikegurl's heart. 5) The 'battle' didn't even take place in HS, hence it can hardly be said to be the "fiercest battle HS has seen." Rather, it took place on S!@#$%^&*' chat channel, and I was not in HS at the time. 6) When it finally happened, we had a 'duel' of sorts in that chat channel, which was moderated by none other than nikegurl. 7) I won the duel 1 - 0 by correctly naming nikegurl's favorite color. After this, nikegurl got bored and left to go back to RL. I like the name Ani has given me.... "Ace "The Exiled One" Flyer". P.S. Why does everyone spell my name as AceFlyer instead of Aceflyer? I've never spelled my name like that in game.

Bingo. Plenty of players already make a habit of attempting to make idiots out of zone staff and generally annoying zone staff. Most staff in populated zones have hardened themselves to this treatment out of necessity.

Well, to #3 it's not just that, if the staffer feels like the person complaining is actually more guilty than the person who is apparently har!@#$%^&*ing, then they obviously won't do anything. They can't just go around banning anyone because someone has 'proof', plus you're obviously going to get a one-sided story and can't really act much on that. That's why you PM the other party (the one being accused), and ask for the person with the 'proof' to email screenshots over. All in all, L Y N X is quite correct. The "no power" bit is the primary reason SIT will probably not succeed in its intended mission.

Easier said than done, getting players these days is getting harder and harder, it seems. Even EG's population has declined.

It doesn't appear to be an April Fools joke, but who knows. There's really no reason they shouldn't go for it and see how they fare, I've just been pointing out that they may not be very useful in what they propose to do.
