  1. AFAIK Trained's stats are for get-continuum.com, not getcontinuum.com. There is an important distinction between the two, as they are separate and independent sites.
  2. Heck, some cultures eat people.

ThunderJam is correct in that he instigated the whole mess. And despite what people may think, this particular situation was a serious one, at least IMHO, given that it resulted in a SWE SMod being reprimanded and having his BanG access suspended and CRe> and ThunderJam getting banned from SWE for a couple of days.
  4. It seems this topic might fit more in the Hyperspace board.

He was har!@#$%^&*ing her. Keira could have handled the situation better, but she wasn't that experienced a Moderator at the time. She didn't do anything fundamentally wrong though. Keira could have used ?ignore, true, but that doesn't excuse or justify the har!@#$%^&*ment toward her. Also, Keira did not handle the situation as a SIT representative; rather, she handled the situation as a SWE Moderator, which is exactly what she should have done.
  6. New Hampshire voters obviously begged to differ. Personally, I actually agree with you and SeVeR. But voters - and especially New Hampshire women Democratic voters, apparently - differ.

Of course you weren't physically present, this is an online game LOL. Seriously, though - yeah, I wish I could laugh at the logs. And no, it wasn't just a big misunderstanding.
  8. Or just say that they are "likeable" or "very likeable" and leave it at that, as Clinton did (but Obama didn't). See my previous post.
  9. You realize that at!@#$%^&*ude isn't conducive toward conducting diplomacy? If a President of the United States has that at!@#$%^&*ude, I'd say that President would be about as bad as President Bush. More to the point, it's not about lying, more about politeness. Saying someone is "very likeable," for example, does not imply that you personally like said someone. There are people who I would consider "very likeable" who I actually don't like.
  10. I asked PoLiX about that a few days back; I think it'll be included in the next update to the nav bar.
  11. Yes it's an opinion, that doesn't mean it isn't a cheapshot. What i mean is: Obama gave an answer to a question. You can either call him honest or a liar. A cheap-shot is when you come out with a calculated, but irrelevent, statement to try and sabotage your opponent. In Obama's case i would call him honest, because he risked a bit of controversy to respond that way. I don't see how he attempted to sabotage Hillary by doing what what he did, do you? So i give him credit for honesty. I don't have time to make a more in-depth response to your questions yet, maybe later. Clinton was gracious enough to say that Obama was "very likeable". Obama was clearly not willing to extend that same courtesy to Clinton.
  12. Irrelevant even if true (which is by no means obvious). Sources please. More specifically? And you have proof that no one told Obama to support certain policies? I highly doubt that, since there's no way he can be an expert on all the issues he faces as a politician. Hence, he has to listen to certain trusted advisers on at least certain things. All politicians have to. Also, many politicians have a hand in Obama being where he is. Yes it's an opinion, that doesn't mean it isn't a cheapshot.

I rather doubt you know the details of the entire situation. In fact, since part of the situation involved the SWE staff chat, there's no way you could know the entire situation.
  14. Actually, won't their crushing defeat at the hands of al-Sadr's militia have a negative effect on the Iraqi Army's confidence and morale? Agreed about the emb!@#$%^&*y and all. But Iran taking over the world is something that is so ludicrous, I rather doubt even the Iranians have such plans.
  15. When has the press ever said Obama was a Muslim who sympathized with terrorists? That was a groundless rumor, nothing more. And I don't think I recall the press ever claiming that Obama was "jew-hating" or that he was "only where he is because he is black." Maybe these opinions were aired in some Internet forums or something, but they definitely haven't been in the respectable press as far as I know. By and large the press has been far more favorable toward Obama than toward Clinton in its coverage. No. Last time I checked her views were quite different than President Bush's. You're quite naive if you think that Obama independently came up with all of his proposals and policies in their entirety. He has plenty of political connections and plenty of policy advisers. And "you're likable enough Hillary" isn't a cheapshot? I'll grant that the Clinton campaign has probably taken more cheapshots at the Obama campaign than vice-versa, but trying to portray Obama as an impeccable saint isn't going to fly.

Perchance are you referring to the situation where several players came into SWE and har!@#$%^&*ed Keira? That was less of a "courtroom" setting and more of a "mob" situation which was handled rather poorly by pretty much all parties involved.
  17. Why is Obama that much better, in your opinion, than (Hillary) Clinton? Most of their policy positions seem quite similar, even nearly identical in many cases. The main question is who is more 'likable' and whether Beltway 'experience' matters or not.
  18. Oh well, could be worse, I suppose.
  19. I'm with CRe> and Dav.
  20. Swift last logged in here earlier today... so it should, in theory, be possible to get in touch with him.
  21. Done. http://wiki.ssforum.net/index.php/The_Real_Picard Read cReEmY's post for instructions on how to update it.
  22. After some discussion amongst the Wiki Moderators, we've decided to implement a central system to deal with any inaccuracies in personal player pages at SSWiki. As you all know, while most of the Wiki is open to editing by pretty much anyone, users are generally (with the sole exception of fixing obvious typos) not allowed to edit other people's personal player pages in Category:Players. This thread is to allow the general community to report inaccuracies in SSWiki personal player pages to the Wiki Moderators, who will then decide what, if anything, should be done. The hope of this is to prevent abuse of the Wiki's personal player pages by eliminating inaccuracies or other untruths in those pages. Anyone spotting an inaccuracy/untruth* in a personal player page on the Wiki should post in this thread and clearly indicate, quoting the relevant sections as necessary, where the purported inaccuracy or untruth is. The Wiki Moderators will review the post and handle the situation as they deem fit. Note that abuse of this report system will not be tolerated. * With the sole exception of obvious typos. Obvious typos may be fixed by any user that spots them. "Hypersapce", for instance, would be considered an obvious typo and should be fixed to "Hyperspace". If in doubt about whether something is an obvious typo, better safe than sorry: file a report through this system; do not go ahead and edit it yourself.
  23. As a Webmaster at GetContinuum.com, I'd like to request a subforum at SSForum.net for feedback & support purposes. The necessary information is provided below: Site: GetContinuum.com Board Description: Feedback & Support from GetContinuum.com Webmasters Forum Led by: Aceflyer, cReEmY, Trained Board Location (Proposed): Feedback and Support Subforums Please let me know if there is any other information I can provide. Thanks in advance!
  24. Heh I don't blame you, this thread has careened through quite a few topics by now.
