  1. Interesting, I have played three of the games you listed. PT, good starter game, but man.... when you get into like level 40+ it's GRINDING. GW, nice and all. Problem after is that everyone started playing the expansion so then i couldn't finish the original story But at least that game HAD a story. Rose.... awwww... my very first TRUE MMO Love ..... KASDJF;LKF !#@$%#@v $%vcj$%v $%t$jc $5 HAD TO MAKE THE GAME GO PAY TO PLAY!!!!! Playing private servers isn't the same at all. I have played a few...and milking bugs for leveling was soo much fun... then then they reset a lot, and kills everything. And when i did some digging a few months ago the ones i knew are closed up. If Rose didn't go pay to play, I honestly think i would be still playing it. No game has ever gone close to the enjoyment i had with that game. It has everything I needed. Simple, colorful, STORY....i know a non-retail box MMO with a story? Who knew one was out there? (Chamb my brother, pay for my subscription and i'm yours love!) I have lost intrest in MMO's for the time being. A friend of mine is playing Rappelz It isn't bad. It did different things with job classes, pets, and so on. The down side is well... the game isn't pay to play, however, for you advancing in the game a lot of people drop $$ at their cashshop. You can play the game with out any money at all, but ALOT of people do drop money. My friend (with no job) drops like $100 every two months or so. Well my 2 cents.
  2. Honestly, he is going through all this trouble, why not? It isn't going to cost anything other then a few clicks on a mouse, and what's the worse that will happen? You prove him wrong? Then it's all over. For me personally, I don't really want to come to a Subspace forum and find General with non subspace related topics, let alone have them be about games.
  3. Very very happy with this. I can open much more now. TY
  4. That was a joke post, right? I need some clarification. -L No he is 100% Pro Bush. And just like any pro Bush they will do their best to justify what he does.. even if it's completely out of this world.
  5. I understand the meaning and still think it's childish. Just because something is a symbol doesn't mean it won't hurt your image with the rest of the world. Human sacrifice was largely symbolic too, but I wouldn't hesitate at labeling societies that actively practice it as less civilized. You're focusing on the aspect of the most least important part, and diverting all the attention away for what really matters. You might as well talk about the type of shoe he was throwing, how poor the quality it was, and that he should have thrown something with a harder sole. And then wounder why the rest of the world call the Westerns bullies and stupid. Care about something important! If you really care about shoe being thrown to impact image, then you enforce their stereotype on you. Sketter
  6. That's exactly the point. Just showing the sole of the shoe to another person shows a lack of respect. To have them be thrown, well.. statement loud and clear. I don't know why, maybe TV down there didn't explain this, but our news reporters explained why he throw the shoe and what it meant, in that culture. What happened was very symbolic, and to call it childish before understanding the meaning is ignorant. As for calling him a hero, well, I can understand that. And this is hard to explain that I don't really want to get into.

No, not true. The end is to come Dec 21st or something. The winter Olympics will be start of 2012. Canada still gets it's moment.
  9. Don't use PHP-Nuke. Joomla is a better free CMS that is rated very high with lots of support. And www.megagames.com does everything you do plus more. What makes you so different?
  10. Alright, you got a point. Are you open to the idea of keeping the manager, and removing the areas that have issues such as thousand img thing and so on. I feel it could be done in two was that can help both sides. A place to create, and a place to manage imgs. Cause without some type of manager how will you keep track what's on your screen. ( split to new topic? )
  11. I find it to be very user-friendly. You two remind me of M$ who reminds me everyday that "if it's to simple, then it just isn't right". I never needed help with the manager unless i found a bug. Meh, I'll just slowly push Sam to make some other "manager" Sketter
  12. Not bad. I see you already noted the two bugs i pointed out. Look at *Since you'll be working on the X and Y properties, i noticed that if more then one img is highlighted it throws it off. No crash but something to look into. I guess since you have more then one it should blank out or gray out, and maybe have a hover msg saying choose a single img for positioning. *(in promoting killing manager) To add to right click list Add lvz BUG *Not sure how to explain it so i made a vid. In a nut shell tho, it seems you can add img map objects do different .lvz files without adding the img within the file. If you try to open the .lvz and try to place the img, without the other lvz loaded it will crash DCME. (what is the "Place image definition" for exactly? For the love of God, I can't seem to rationalize its use. It seems easy to crash DCME by throwing definition in other .lvz's and then trying to use them ) Videos <-- Click!
  13. Since sam wants the LVZ manage to be put out of business by using the simple "right click add" i made a few requests so it would make easier to do things, by maximizing more features. When those are added, i'll make the tutorial, since i see no use in creating something that is going to be replaced by a system that does things completely different. (I still think the manager gives you far more control and better organization Sam) Sketter
  14. Some one is a very unhappy child.
  15. The morning-after pill will "kill" an embryo before it has a brainwave, and therefore before it has any chance of feeling pain. Three months later the fetus may have a partially developed brain. Can it feel pain... is it conscious? Probably not, but it's no longer clear cut. Hence, killing a one-day-old embryo IS different than killing a three-month old fetus. The problem here is this; At what point do you consider life, to be life? There are many arguments. It seems your point of view is when one has developed brainwaves and can feel pain. Another is the moment fertilization. Some believe it isn't living until it comes out of the mother completely. The more radical makes the argument that masturbation is a form of withholding life, as well as condoms. Some believe life starts at the molecular structure. When does life, become life? Just because it can't feel pain doesn't mean it isn't alive...does it? There is no define line of life that we have ever put down in writing. And it then becomes up to each one to determine where you think life starts. For this, we are now open to attacks from all ends. You want to argue about type of death we can take it to another forum, but we're talking about life itself. (or so i am) And Polix's friend made that case to her doctor to justify death/termination at an early stage, however well it played out. Sketter
  16. Out of fairness, since Polix decided to explain what happened between his friend and her doctor, i felt "morally" obligated to take a step back and analyze it. I felt there was a lot more to this story. I think doctors take a lot of heat. Well as for prescriptions....hmm.... I'm going to play a few devils advocates. To use pure logic without any concepts of "higher power" you are ultimately correct Lynx. Of course, we are talking about after removing objectivity in morals. As long as it does not conflict with any laws, including death. However, there is a flaw. We are not a human race of pure logic and without objectivity. (tho it sounds efficient) And since our culture sometimes defines out government, we have allowed holes within our system. Such holes as to allow different religions to exist within our communities, as well as their practices, as long as it does not violate another humans rights, while protecting your own. Physically and mentally. As well this applies to one's way of life. And since as a government we acknowledge these groups, and their rights within their culture, we also acknowledge them in their work place. (To a very strict degree) An example would be to ware an "ahiida" in a work place. We can look and find other examples. Since the line has been drawn to we can practice our own beliefs, as long as it does not harm anyone else, then not providing a prescription is not harmful. And can be justified as long as not providing will not cause death, unreasonable harm, and/or within ethical grounds. Now if you want to look at it in a consumer point of view, lets look at it in a logical sense of service. (I'll use something very basic) "McDonalds does not sell Pepsi as a choice of beverage, but i really want Pepsi, what ever will i do? Should I start a petition and force them to sell it? Hhmm... no, it's their choice, I guess I'll just go somewhere else." (and) "Dam, this restaurant does not have my favorite wine that I love to have with my T-bone" "Should i argue with the waiter to go out and fetch me my wine?" "no it's their choice, I'll just not eat here again when I want a T-bone stake." We let this pass by without any flapping gum's, if you want to see a doctor in the same way you need to apply the same argument. Since their a service, their entitled to do what they want. And it isn't a monopoly since there are more then one doctor. We allow companies to run their business how they choose under the law and what service they chose. (as long as it does not brake any rules) If you want to take away the right of a doctor to choose what he can and can not give you then it becomes an occupation run by the consumer, and you can then be asking for anything you want, and they can't say no. To harmless all the way to fatal. It is left up to the judgment of the doctors of what they feel is best. It is uncomparable to subject this to a simple service. It is a very complicated service, that also involves their rights as a "business" if you want to see it that way, but also for their mentality. Now since i was given grief for going off topic with the morning after pill, I stayed very on topic this time to not include any other subtopic, as many seem to do. So I'm clearly saying that this is looked at from a very fundamental point of view of the topic "doctors prescribe medicine" This is not part of any subtopic that has been mentioned in previous posts regarding morning after pill or abortions. Sketter
  17. This leads me to believe the doctor himself is uncertain with his own morals. To me it's a black and white issue really. Life or death. There really isn't a gray area. What happened above seems to be a conversation that was eventually lead to "rational" revolution. And you really can't rationalize it. If he stood on the grounds of "pro-life" any terms of termination of death would follow to his moral obligation. Now I'm not fully clear on the morning after pill but it is understood that "Some scientists believe that EC may possibly act after fertilization." So now what do you do? Well if you take this pro-life choice you take the acknowledgment that the morning after pill has a chance to kill after fertilization. So you morally would have to say no. And it seems that is what he initially did. What she tried to do is then "well which would you rather have happen?" That isn't his choice, that's hers. It doesn't make it more morally wrong, it just makes it more convenient to have the pill. Is it more morally wrong to kill some one while their sleeping with a shot to the head with a hand gun? Or kill some one in their sleep in the head with a shot gun? They won't matter to them, their dead, but one makes more of a mess, and you might not recognize their face after. It's still death. It's not like "Well since you used a hand gun, I guess we can give you a lower sentence." No, sorry, you'll get the same. End results is that it's still the same, even if it's just basing it on taking a chance that the pill will take into effect before fertilization, you can't be certain. And what isn't fair is her manipulation on him as well. It's a low blow that he fell for it. Now as much as it that looks like my point of view with my own morals, it's not. I'm merely clarifying the in between lines in Polix's (not that anyone should take offense) post. My own morals are much more complicated Doctors need to make very clear decisions. Even if their wrong, as long as their decisions is based on logical sence, thought out, and without negligence. Having a patient whip you into submission in your office on something you feel is morally wrong, makes me wounder about your practices. You can't have "well lest see who can debate this better, and the winner will get what they want." Sketter

  19. I'm going to assume between my post and you're last they did something?
  20. I was going to say something else, but I would like to ask. Polix, do you keep track of statistics from last years visitors to this years? Could you post them? Cause sometimes the increase of trolls can also be due to the fact that population of the forums could have fallen and what you have left is the sum of those that have nothing better to do. As of right now when sniffing the general forums, I notice there are quite a few topics that are unrelated to the game, and to some it's a turn off. To be honest good drama and important game topics is what can bring people to the forums. But when you have subjects that are very unrelated, that could push people away, not just the trolls. I think most ignore them then run crying cause of them. Sure they become annoying, and it becomes your job to remove their post, but you seem so overwhelming upset. And if there are declining numbers then your not to blame cause you didn't ban your selected few. It will become inevitable that the game will die, and that means you can't always choose who you want if there isn't anyone left. IMO I feel the games interest has dropped, and thus less to talk about, and less people coming to general for enlightening conversations. Maybe that's why you notice the trolls more. But I think this is way over done. You had a problem with people, you could have just msged them. And just put out a notice that rules have been modified. But this creates drama and people will come-a-looking.
  21. I've planned on doing one. I'm just contemplating how to approach it.
  22. I am now unable to open any more.. I try to open any map and this happens, and closes. I can draw and save a new map, but can't open, even the test saves i did to see if it could save. Same error over and over. Sketter DCME.log
  23. OMG THE AUTO UPDATE IS FINALLY FIXED! TY { passes Sam a BIG Cookie!! } Sketter
  24. [bUG] I also notice that when i sometimes attempt to highlight an area, the lines do not show. So like when I'm creating the area to be selected, the guide lines that appear showing you what you have so far do not show. but when you let go, the area is selected, so it is working, just sometimes not always showing. [/bUG] And also i just thought of this. After the the area box is layed, how about being able to change the box size? And also like PS, a tool to add or subtract parts to the area selected. Ya know, the Marquee tool in PS. I think this is very useful cause not everything you need to past can fit as a box. Most of the time i find myself cutting and pasting in small portions so it fits and nothing is overlapping by black space. Just more ideas for the simple life. (hhmm after some thought, this post should be it's own topic...care to split? ) Sketter
  25. So basically the idea is when you highlight an area of tiles that you wish to copy or cut, you can right click on the area hightlighted and you get a small list of options such as (for now anyways) copy and cut. Maybe add more in the future or what ever else you can think of. Just short cuts i guess. Sketter
