  1. The max the Canadian dollar ever hit was US$1.0443, on April 25, 1974.
  2. Facebook seems to be popular with Canadians. There's nothing super-great about it, but it helps keep in touch with some old friends. (I found some people from way back before I moved, so it's pretty interesting)
  3. (this was his reply when I mentioned it)

So true... I had a 1 on 1 on 2 just two nights ago, but people come and go so quickly... so it'd be 4, then 3, 4, 3, 2, 3, Hakaku goes to bed, 2... and I imagine shortly after 0.
  5. Bump (read original post)
  6. Like I said, we don't defend staff abuse, but we won't tolerate racism and personal attacks (especially ones from players that command us to denounce and remove staff for 1 day's mistake). Someday, you seriously need to re-read that entire thread.
  7. I'm sorry, I lost respect for this zone after multiple spamming over time in Deva's chat over the summer, and even more so for gay-!@#$%^&* comments like this: Leave other chats & wikipedia alone, and then perish.
  8. Don't Just ask for more time, it's not the end of the world :/ And ya I know, my previous posts were quite imposing on the fixed date, but I really don't bite.
  9. Do you think you can post us a screenshot?
  10. What's the criterias for an internet pirate?
  11. Yellow. (but for smarties, you have to eat the red ones last)
  12. lol, poor JDS, falling way behind the times (SSME is long dead) It's too bad the public map actually uses special tiles, and has always since Deva's revival. Alternatively, you could upload an original (with any specials) to this forum, and an SSME-compatible version just for JDS to look at. (Uploading the original won't require you to stare at a map until you play in the arena)
  13. It used to be longer, but I think someone finally took the time to remove dead applicants & applications (remember all of mage's applications? lol).
  14. The forum and the game itself are unrelated. To sign into Continuum, you'll need a pretty unique username (if you try to sign under someone elses account, it'll give you an error message saying invalid password). You can alternatively add extra symbols or numbers to your name, just to be sure. Anyhow, happy playing Edit: I'm sure Polix can change your forum username, just ask him once you find one.
  15. Yes, it's possible to completely turn it off. (I mentioned it in another thread, but I'm too lazy to find it) Usually, if DEP is configured properly, an error message should appear if you try to run Continuum and it disallows it. Here's what I recommend: 1. Delete ALL Continuum related files. 2. Run an anti-virus scan, and run a registry cleaner (e.g. Eusing's registry cleaner) 3. Reboot Computer 4. Log onto an account with aministrator rights 5. Install Continuum from here, into C:\Program Files\ 6. Make sure all anti-viruses or firewalls have been disabled (yes, including Windows' built-in firewall) 7. Now start Continuum, and post your results back onto this forum. From your posts, I take it that you're running Windows XP SP2, and that most likely your installs were corrupted.
  16. What ever happened to 10th Anniversary Celebrations for SubSpace on November 30th? It basically involved cross-zone events, but SVS-style, since it was to comemorate 10 years since SubSpace's official release. Or did that idea die out?

Still, what Deva has that is unique is our credits system (win the jackpot, win credits, use credits, buy items, win & own, gain jackpot). Ok, perhaps it's not the most original idea, but the buyables are designed to be useless fun, rather than compe!@#$%^&*ive upgrades. HS is a nice zone, but it's had its up and downs, and overall is not entirely newbie-friendly. The other reason why we cannot emulate HS, is the fact that we're not an ASSS zone. (we have one in-development, but it's not gone far, and with a lack of good programmers, the idea has gone out the window). We also have weekly megajackpots. It's not the fact that the MJ has gone stale, but rather there's no mod around to start it on Saturday, stay and play some, so no one's motivated to show up
  18. How did 17th's forum get bumped over The Complex? Is this some kind of rivalry with a non-existant in-development zone? Or just an evil ploy to ruin such a nice alphabetical order? On topic, I'm just curious to what will happen to 17th next. If everyone keeps fighting between the past and the future, making claims of fixing, or corrupting, 17th won't get anywhere. But more importantly, Delic made weird maps >.>

    hookers?
  20. Actually Smarties, the updates were right on target. Currency updates really often, so it's very plausible that the exchange rate of our two dollars changes at any time. (and Root's posts were right on cue with http://www.xe.com, give or take some accuracy) Anyhow, if you think they're so wrong and that we're all using false information, where's your proof of the opposite? But seriously, why so anti-american? You're just making yourself sound arrogant and ignorant, even by my Canadian standards.
  21. Umm.... How about no.
  22. Nah, polytheist = multiple gods There'd also be animism, shamanism, etc. Whereas something like Buddhism falls in none of those categories. I was specifically asking if there was a word for non-monotheist religions (e.g. Christianity, Judaism and Islam )
  23. Atheist = someone who denies the existence of god Agnostic = a person who claims that they cannot have true knowledge about the existence of God (but does not deny that God might exist); someone who is doubtful or noncommittal about something Areligious = unconcerned with or indifferent to religious matters Heathen: not acknowledging the God of Christianity and Judaism and Islam Religious = concerned with sacred matters or religion or the church Theist = a believer in a personal God (...etc) Is there a specific word for someone who believes in another religion that does not involve a single god (or multiple ones - and without a negative feel)? Or one that defines people with no knowledge/contact/perception of either religion, god, or other related matters? (sorry for the off-topicness of my post, but I believe many people are seemingly systematically categorized as either agnostic or atheist if they don't believe in usually monotheist religions, especially in Christianity.)
  24. Please don't bump old topics, especially when the last poster posted July 16th, 2004 (over 3 years ago). To a moderator:
  25. @Rootbear, maybe it's the fact they're using some underground 4.0 version rather than 0.40 that they're having problems Can you enter any other zones? Have you tried removing the zone from your list, redownloaded it, then add it again? @Golani, unfortunately, unless you changed usernames, or the zone changed billers, the client cannot modify scores in-game. All score related issues would be related to the SSC biller, in which out of either defect, or you accidentally ?scoreresetting, or a zone moderator resetting your score (or even full pub score reset), are the only possible reasons about why your score was reset. At this point, we cannot do anything about it, so you'll have to wait it out until the next score reset.
