  1. It's amazing how I write out the word "RACIST' following someone who says "TERRORIST", and I'm the one being bashed. Sure terrorism exists, but no culture is perfect. If you see someone of a different ethnicity, do you label them as terrorists too? Perhaps I should remind the world of the FLQ? Or Aum Shinrikyo? Or is America* so full of itself just to label the entire Middle East (since 9/11) and anyone originating from it as terrorists or potential ones? And you should realize that Galactic Melee is Rak'kar's game, not Ahmed's. Ahmed owns the subspace.net domain, so stop throwing two people in the same boat. *Note: this is my purposely written generalization
  2. RACIST
  3. Trial by error The original Dueling Tournament was Ship 1 only, but it seems there's a stronger preference for ship 6. As for the arena, as far as I've seen, most duels were performed in ?go duel (1 duel was in elim though). If me and tm_master were to duel though, it would have totally been in gravity! lol. So if I were to redo it based on opinions and my best judgement, I would probably consider a specialized arena for the tournament similar to ?go duel, and ship 6 only (though not necessarily, it could be alternated each time for best ship type). As for a league, that's JDS's job Or for a tournament that's 2 vs 2 or more, his job too
  4. done. but please ?message Attraction in-game about the change. (I'm too lazy to remember what I messaged him earlier about). If he still thinks he's dueling The Stranger, not my prob
  5. Couldn't wait until round 2? Still 3 more duels to go lol. Though I'll still count it if you want. On a side note, DareSound [ship 6] has replaced Master Mike due to inactivity both on the forums and in-game. Attraction and DareSound have until September the 1st to duel if possible. And sorry for not being in Deva much or updating the dueling image, I've been quite busy, and I'm starting school in 3 days ><; .
  6. Could someone update or remove this sticky? Thx And it's nice to know it's back up
  7. Well I realized it was the bots and not my own ship, but I was too lazy to edit Anyhow, Millenium man said the weasel was messed up before the release, so it's not of any surprise.
  8. Just to recap:
  9. The weasel's really flat. Anyhow, it crashes when you try to shoot (DirectX 10) or after a few seconds of gameplay and lol @ plane1 (half model)
  10. read announcement much?
  11. Haha, you'll have to wait in line X Gibbit claimed dibs on challenging the winner! I suppose there's always room for a 3 on 1... @DareSound, if master mike does not appear online by the 27th deadline, I might consider subs!@#$%^&*uting you in. @SOS, I think E>.> lol, you should try ?messaging him in-game.
  12. Go back to the main screen and select options, then change the name from "Player" to something else
  13. I just tried it, and I gotta say it's pretty cool. It took me a bit to figure out that I had to use a new player name or else it wouldn't enter the game. 1 note: there's no thirdspace website for news As for the game, It's really hard to shoot or anyone. I hate the fact that my controls are as follows: -mouse (for movement) -left click (shooting) -^ arrow key (for advancing) -!@#$%^&*+tab (special weapon) In all, it's really hard to do all that when the keys are considerably far from each other. Perhaps add special weapon (e.g. thor) as the mouse's right click. And advancing as center click. - Or even better, allow users to set their own controls. -Another way would also be to give control to the arrow keys instead of mouse. And maybe a newbie option that "snaps to enemy", that is, the center locks on to a player, or atleast make it glow dark red when a player is straight ahead. I haven't really tried anything else, but from the looks of it, it's really promising. Edit: And I have no clue how multiplayer works. The main screen shows a few server IP adresses, but they don't actually connect to those servers. It sends me to the in-game menu, and tells me to push the multiplayer button and add the IP manually. Which is kind of a pain and doesn't work anyways. -And I can't actually host my own game, just change the offline gameplay settings. And default should be "Beginner", not "advanced". "packing fudge" crashes game... Edit2: I didn't realize right click was also 'advance'. But the recharge on that and the guns is really terrible, and bots>me.
  14. I get an HTTP 410 Gone error message (i.e. The webpage no longer exists) You should try http://files-upload.com/ - they allow almost up to 1 GB if you're registered and 300mb if not.
  15. But If I had told you I changed it, people might take more time
  16. PNG ftw. Seriously, no image should be any other format, unless it's a photo (jpg/jpeg) and ginormous.
  17. Ya, I suppose if you really wanted rectangular banner, you could just add transparency and make it seem like it is. That is, if the format allows transparency (.gif or .png), or interprets a color as transparent like Continuum does. And I'm sure you could design the nightwasp's logo Just something black and a white wasp, similar to the shark's logo.
  18. I'm bumping this. Please don't forget to duel your opponent. ?message them in order to find the best date that suits both of you.
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-JV--AwLxiE I thought this was randomly amazing, so I had to post it.
  20. Yeah, my bad for being so harsh at first. I would have never expected something do!@#$%^&*ented of about 195 pages! But is it more to the likeness of SubSpace, or the Continuum era? That is, the alternate zones, are they all controlled by the game or central server, or could players randomly spawn up their own customized zones?
  21. GM uses 64x64 banners, which are placed ontop of your ship's wings. Since ships are variable in size, I assume square is better than having it rectangular, though I don't know how Thirdspace will go about with the banners...
  22. And at least 100 cycles.
  23. Since you can get a ping from Halo, mind doing a Trace for us? (at least 100 cycles) It could just be your internet temporarily doing some stuff.
  24. lol I wasn't saying you did, I use Vista too, that's how I could reply to your thread. But it was written in absolutely every announcement about 0.39, for example: The only actual time when Continuum wasn't working on Vista was in certain computers during the betas of Vista. All other cases are most likely directly related to UAC, and in the rare event, some firewall (though I haven't heard anyone complain about the such causing Continuum to malfunction).
