  1. Mainly because we stopped relying on subspace.net, therefore no one checked it (that, and it was dropped from google under the keywords 'subspace' and 'continuum') Anyhow, nice to see the change
  2. TW Merchandise Goodness or this, or this... search
  3. You people are mean
  4. No one's actually answered that question to date, but the only thing different is that they changed the number from 0.39 to 0.40 and kept the same fixes/anticheat stuff from the beta 0.39. There's a resolution bug in 0.40. ASSS zones are blocked in 0.40 (unless you're sysop). And it's "suppose" to not spit out any error messages server-side. So basically 0.40 was released with more problems than 0.39, and without an actual updated subgame or ASSS server, there's no point on using the newer release. Edit: And not to mention the installer will override previous installations (resetting profile, macros, custom graphics, etc.). Also updates registry (though not that this is important to know). Oh, and when you're blocked out of ASSS zones, there's a new warning popup for it. Also, in the menu, "Help -> About", the copyright is now extended to 2007 instead of 2003.
  5. Tables are basically universally cross-browser, down to really old versions. It can be a pain to code though, depending on the complexity of what you want. CSS is more lightweight, as it can be stored in a seperate file, and thus easier to update if you have multiple webpages depending on it. If you're intermixing the two, then you can easily create other effects. But you can't say CSS does more than tables, since Tables alone are just a small part of HTML. So you'd have to compare HTML and CSS as a whole, in which case HTML overrules CSS as being the basis of most web coding and browsers.
  6. Wonderer does. I'll contact him through the boards, unless someone has already?
  7. Netscape is the same as Firefox, and thus no longer an independant browser. But yeah, I've spent time arguing at cross-browser comptatibility (moreso with FF), then going onto W3C standards, then breaking everything (in FF)... Unless of course I code through FF, then I'll tend to break everything in IE. But the worst part is finding out that your webhost is blocking a certain script or part of it...

    Hi again.

TA! Come play! And hola Devastated!
  9. At the top right of the thread (under My controls and stuff though), click "Options" and select Display Mode "Standard". I've had this problem a million times before, which is why I remember
  10. YOU'D BETTER NOT! lol And I can be your sideline critique, cuz that's what I do best XD
  11. Post your specs (98, XP, Vista? Graphics card? etc.). Make sure to install Continuum under a user with administrator rights, and make sure you don't have a firewall blocking it (yes, this includes disabling Windows' built-in firewall just to make sure). Do you ever get an error message though?
  12. Indeed, you're the two who've done the most dev... I would say Gibbit, but he quit
  13. Post your computer specs (XP, Vista? Graphics card, bla blah) If you're shooting bullets, then yes your energy will go down to 0 and recharge as you idle. If you report the problem in 0.39pr1 and 0.39, you should try 0.38
  14. Try using Continuum 0.39 (download here); it includes the fix to the problem you're mentioning. Edit: Doc beat me to it :/
  15. HAVE A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TM!! (even though I haven't seen you in a while, I still noticed! Drink and party lots! lol)
  16. ROUND 2 BEGINS! Please refer to the original post for updates and/or changes, and information about other things. Duels: Rasta420 vs. Clee1 No_Remorse vs. DareSound SOS vs. Laserman Russky vs. Senjacky
  17. It's odd, I try to save my team, but it gives me an error message saying "0"... It does save the file, but doesn't load it and keeps the finish/create team option window open. Adding a player does the same thing... The game recorder window was by far the worst part, I timed a game for 1 minute and 1 round, pressed the play option and got a load of errors that appeared every split second and flooded my screen and task manager. You should remove the part that says "height (inches)", because some people might use other systems (such as metric) It would also be nice to be able to add a game that isn't currently in play, because some people don't have 1 hour to waste waiting to add goals in the game recorder. EDIT: I just read your post, and the player-team thing is a bugger. You have to create players... then the team & add players... then load the team again... And you're unable to set players goals or edit their information afterwards, afaik. Edit2: Yeah, the error messages were so bad... that my system needs to be rebooted, because the pinging sound is still playing even an hours later.
  18. If you run a server off windows 98SE, and then jump into the zone from a seperate computer & internet, you'll surely have at least 10 000+ lag, and it gets worse the further you get .
  19. bah, my timeset is messed, and I never read your edited post (or the top part, don't know which -.-; )... My bash statement was directed at mainly scareface and russky. I can't prove they're racist, since the term "race" itself is controversial, but from their posts it's what I assume. Prejudism goes either way, but the difference is I'm not running around trying to bring another human's morale down just because of something they did, or the way they look, or by their name, and then !@#$%^&*ociating false things to that person. anyway, my bad on the quote, must've been morning

  21. At least 100 cycles, thanks. Anyhow, what are you running? XP? Vista? 98? Do you have wireless? From looking at your trace, you're loosing most of your ping up until hopone (which is right before the server), but your highest ping is at an unknown adress (67.126.64.65 ), which is more than likely to be related to your ISP. You could try reinstalling Continuum, try the new beta version (0.39), or contact your ISP and ask them about it. Do other games you play lag as much? It could alternatively fix itself in time though Edit: Polix beat me to it
