Silly Dock, always pressing the wrong button. ^_^

Buttheads? Why..you doofis -- didn'cha know that this community outdated that silly thing long ago?
-
Code a new Subspace pixel-perfect clone.
-
A decent and simple arena (atleast for a demo) should be nice sized space station with tons of room to fight in (basically Death Star Battle, but hardly as complex in the insides) and outside space to fight in. Be sure to add planet Earth somewhere convenient, like you see in the beginning of the Subspace intro. -_- *sigh* *downloads Milkshape and registers* EDIT :: Just place whatever in empty space in Milkshape, save it as a regular Milkshape file, and send off to you?

Pay MillenniumMan for his work on Thirdspace.

Which means that we should go on-topic before it gets totally out of hand, resulting in a moderator locking this thread or just wasting someone's time to filter this thread from its heathen SPAM. Oh come on Mill, you'll need to make an editor sometime in the future. Lighten the load for noobs. Anyhow, for now I'm only interested in news of progress. How's progress?

Yup. Zero friction is correct. Don't misunderstand Ori Klein when he says this, because he means that when you let your ship fly in open space and you aren't touching your keyboard, ship zone ever slow down. Then again, this is realistic because it is based in space. If you bounce off a wall however, you do lose speed (thus bounce friction, or atleast some realistic physics).

Hay Syrus, remember that birthday money? Haha, just kidding. Congratulations again.

Ok that worked. Thanks.

Hai Distort, guess how long it took me to get my Bachelor's Degree in coding for HTML, XHTML, and CSS?

Do you plan in the future to make an editor easier than "modeling" (ie. Valve Hammer Editor for Halflife)?

Drake, I can give you one of the webhosting plans from http://www.hlrse.net/ for free. cPanel and genuine yourdomain.com support (or could do subdomain.hlrse.net). If you need a custom plan, I can do that also. The plan would be free for you guys to keep and use as personal space if you wish. EDIT :: I've tried Dreamhost and they're the worst piece of crap ever. Not the kind of hosting most people would be looking for. That webhosting is in a totally difference perspective, like a MySpace webhosting account. Real hosting starts at having a dedicated server of your own. You choose the software, etc. cPanel is an example of one of those software. If you took Dreamhost, you would get nowhere with real webhosting. You can't host things like myspace.com, yahoo.com, and other things like that even close to easily with Dreamhost (maybe not at all). As for their control panel, regardless of it being in AJAX or not, it has a cluttered, somewhat poor and developer-friendly, messy design. It needs total reevaluation and redesign from scratch. (cPanel != Dreamhost control panel) = control panel http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=598172 - By the way, they don't refund PayPal transactions (which is one of the more ironic and stupidest things yet of Dreamhost). Watch as a Dreamhost suckup defends Dreamhost. EDIT2 :: Try cPanel at http://www.hlrse.net/ using the Guest (or Demo) login username and password. EDIT3 :: One of the things most high-end webhosting companies do is to oversell (duh) and include high numbers. For example, "150GB Webspace and 1500GB Monthly Transfer." Even though it is guaranteed, you are spending more money than you honestly need to. Who ever uses up their full 150GB (and to mention a lot of companies out there have a scheme where you can't use their space as a file storage, or can only make up for that space through HTML, PHP, CSS, etc do!@#$%^&*ents) webspace? Bandwidth is the same matter. However in my case, I can pretty much guarantee that the bandwidth I would provide you wouldn't run out as quickly as you would expect. A mirror of Sven Co-op v3.0 takes up about 300GB of monthly transfer per month. So unless you are planning to mirror a huge, popular mod for some game -- bandwidth shouldn't be very much of an issue. Most users use only from 5mb to no more than 1gb of webspace, whilst a "maximum range" of 40gb to 80gb of monthly transfer. People who actually use their full allotment should atleast be investigated to make sure they aren't storing warez or anything. :\ If not warez or any other illegal stuff, then it is a rare but genuine sight to see someone taking full usage of their account.

Oh -- then let me on the bandwagen. I've got 4 or so years of 3D Mapping experience in Half-Life: Sven Co-op and you can find my portfolio at http://www.hlrse.net/vhe/Qwerty/ and maybe some more pictures (probably not) somewhere at http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/.

You thought wrong. Not sure where you heard of that one before. http://www.svencoop.com/forums/images/smilies/whatthe.gif I hope the Thirdspace team grows (is it a one-man team right now?).
-
Thirdspace needs a team of dedicated coders and sponsorship by Sierra.

Hmm... LevelFiles=+content8.lvz,+content8b.lvz,+content8c.lvz,conte t8d.lvz,dradar.lvz I'll move content8d.lvz,rdar.lvz to the front of the string for the sake of being sure.

I thought they hurt if you SAW them. Dang...now it's all too easy. EDIT :: By the way, Rak'kar has nothing to do with it.

Typing ?go after download or completely reconnecting does not solve the problem. The problem is that for some people this LVZ does not even display, so they are basically seeing Figure 1 in-game. What they should be seeing is Figure 2, what most people are actually seeing. None of the images in content8d.lvz exceed 256 pixels in heighth or width dimensions.

I know what you mean. I used to use JASC Paint Shop Pro before and hated Photoshop because "it was too confusing and too hard." I did make numerous attempts throughout years to learn to like Photoshop, and after a while I did learn to like Photoshop. It really isn't too hard, infact is better and more powerful than PSP. I rarily meet anyone actually that even uses PSP to be honest. :S

Rak'kar has nothing to do with this whole Subspace.net issue. And that is wrong. I thought you would know better. THAT isn't the point either. The point is that Subspace.net is morally a property of the entire Subspace and Continuum community, regardless of who controls and pays for the domain. It has been ever since the day the domain was first put into service for the community a decade and so years ago. Subspace != Galactic Melee. Subspace.net != GalacticMelee.com (Subspace = Subspace.net) != (Galactic Melee = GalacticMelee.com) Notice a pattern? Both games have a domain name that is the same as their !@#$%^&*les. Keep it that way. The one thing I can think of you as is some corporate businessman, which some people may refer to as "corrupt," who could care less of what anyone else but you thinks in order to get profit. There's also another word for that: selfish !@#$%^&*. It seems that you will hold onto whatever side necessary in order to further it all out for yourself; look at it legally, politically, or however way you want just to give an excuse. Oh how greedy an individual can be. -_-

Eh, my Maxtor is 7200RPM, but this baby is just getting old. I've had it atleast since 2000 and bought it at Fry's for a ripoff $120 with new cables. Hey, thanks for the information about SATA/IDE/RPM. :] I learned something.

Open DCME. Close the new map that starts up if any does so that you have DCME rawly open. Go back to explorer and find two different *.lvl files in the same folder. Highlight or select both. Hit enter. That's also another way I got the same Run-time error of '9.'
