  1. Then I think the idea is practically "doomed" to work because in this game of Subspace, that would probably be the chat most people could spontaneously guess/try in curiosity.
  2. is this a serious question? If Bak doesn't answer the question, it will become a conspiracy (not joking).

    EverSpace

UNGH still no pictures in this thread.

    Billing Question

I think he's out of luck then. EDIT: Or at the least I can't think of anything.

    Billing Question

I would say taking advantage of "double" if even "triple" zones would be necessary, or should be anyway. Balance it out. That's one of the things ASSS is for, right?
  6. I would love to do this. BlueT Jackpot SVS is just that, and so would SSCV Dragonball Z if I couldn't get it an SSC slot again. If someone retires a zone to take it offline and such, they ought to at least release the files. No harm in doing that.
  7. And in-house orchestra for background dramatic+epic music to string it all together.

    Billing Question

Well, yes... but I don't think the client would decompress and use them. I really doubt Priitk did some of recursive loop to load the lvz's. Edit: But let's get real here... I didn't even know there was a limit on the number of lvz files, except what could fit in the misc:levelfiles line (subgame limit I guess). But why would you need that many lvz files? Each LVZ file can be up to 4MB (or is that limit obsolete with ASSS?), and you have a limit of 255 different images across all your lvz files anyway (that's a client-side limit)... So if the limit was 250 LVZs, and each LVZ were 4MB and had 255 images, your entire download would be about 1000MB (almost 1GB) with a total of 63750 images.

    Billing Question

UHNGGHHH. What if you used another ASSS instance (or another Subgame2 instance) that had the same zone name (but does not broadcast to directories)?
  10. I keep mine in KeePass under a 512-bit encrypted database that requires a master password and a 256-bit key.
  11. and it turned out fabulous. http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5205/5295498428_3138233edd_z.jpg What would a good caption be?
  12. BlueT/SSCV is available.
  13. Obaminated. What's a pay freeze? Do they just not pay you at all or not up your payrate/salary every x months? :?
  14. The website is very amazing and awesome Maverick! =D Thank you. EDIT: Any plans to import the old data so that we can see any trends in the past 10 years?
  15. This has been on http://www.bluetoast.org/subspace.php for many months.. or practically forever: All BlueT and SSCV zones have their [Directory]IP maintained and kept up-to-date.
  16. Google, use Bitcoin?
  17. PIX NAO!
  18. Nope, not me. Just an unhappy customer with the root companies who are ultimately at fault. My Slashdot account is tied to my Google Me account via OpenID (which is also Google verified+confirmed).
  19. Not even notified of that? SimpleCDN complied to every DMCA at very timely manners. Read the bottom of http://admin.simplecdn.com/#facts If it is about WikiLeaks, nothing of this has even been mentioned. For all that could be made of this situation, the reason SimpleCDN is being terminated is because they are too good and inexpensive in competition.
  20. Hai guys, I got slashdotted (frontpage). http://www.slashdot.org/ http://tech.slashdot.org/story/10/12/12/0625209/Hosting-Giants-Teaming-Against-Small-Businesses
  21. These buttholes are disrupting my fabulous, fantastic services with SimpleCDN. I include ThePlanet in this picture because when I pull up a sales chat from SoftLayer's website, NoScript is telling me that the chat webpage is trying to load some scripts from theplanet.com (WHAT UP DAWG?). Check this: http://admin.simplecdn.com/ I sent SoftLayer sales an e-mail about their FFFFFFFFAAAANNTASTIC POS services, and swear I will NEVER use their services. Now, time to harass those UK2/Hosting Services/SoftLayer contacts. If you can, vote this Slashdot article up. http://slashdot.org/submission/1415636/SimpleCDN-Hosting-Fails-Due-to-ISP-Dispute or this http://slashdot.org/submission/1415884/Hosting-Giants-Teaming-Against-Small-Businesses And Digg this up http://digg.com/news/business/http_admin_simplecdn_com Already submitted to Wired, Consumerist, Steve & Kyle (HardOCP).. EDIT3: And Reddit vote up
  22. Just some indicator. You are right! A better value would be -1337. Yes, I will have to check on this again. It may be that I didn't do this because I was assuming, for most things anyway, that the minimum stopped at 0.. and I didn't use my brains for the handful of things I already knew could go negative (thrust, speed). *shrugs* Can't remember, but I will give this a try soon.
  23. All BlueT/SSCV zones will be switched over to this updated template.sss (with the original renamed to template.sss.bak for those who want to use the old ones). Will do this later today. ^_^ Will also have to update the Server Kit. Kind of out of date I think.
