Then, what all the corporations that have gigantic IPv4 reserves will do is sell their reserved, unused IPs for a higher price. Profit! $$$
  2. Nope, it does not.
  3. Well I tried to run SSCV Realism Zone on 22, 995, 587 -- still showed up as red. I need to try this on my workstation at my Apartment to rule out that ports <1000 on the dedicated server are reserved or not.
  4. When you run a zone on say port 587, must port 588 be accessible also? :S What I am trying to do is set SSCV Realism Zone to run on common ports that colleges/universities do not have blocked so that it would be possible to play SubSpace within that zone. Proof that I know using this "trick" works is because I have my workstation setup to run VNC on 995 (POP3 SSL) and Minecraft on 22 (SSH) and have no problem accessing these ports at my college. I just thought it would be an awesome idea if I could somehow achieve this. FTP 21 - blocked SSH 22 - open Telnet 23 - blocked SMTP 25 - open HTTP 80 - open POP3 110 - open IMAP 143 - open SMTP SSL 587 - open POP3 SSL 995 - open
  5. SubSpace isn't SubSpace if it isn't SubSpace.

  7. Yes, it is the 43rd word of Kilo's post. And??? O_o
  8. I am completely curious now. I would like responses from females only, please. I'm mainly looking for a list of known bugs, glitches, new and removed features, obsolete and deprecated functions, etc. If you can provide pics to illustrate any visual changes over the course of BF v1.0 -> Husband v1.0 -> v2.0, that'd be great too.
  9. Where can I find the changelog for upgrading from Girlfriend v1.0 to Wife v1.0 to Wife v2.0? I'm mainly looking for a list of known bugs, glitches, new and removed features, obsolete and deprecated functions, etc.
  10. I'll let him know you guys are needing to get access to the files.

  21. Yup.. that's how overselling works.. except in the more "ethical overselling" you are supposed to expand and scale up as necessary to prevent customers from bumping into each other and taking the server to the limits as a whole. If you can't meet the demands that you promise, then you aren't being very ethical as a host for what and how you are doing. Webhosting is easier to oversell, as you aren't physically promising certain system resources other than diskspace (hah, well, with like 99% of overselling webhosts out there -- at least the ones advertising "unlimited diskspace" -- are full of birdpoop when they make this promise). VPS is more risky. With the right schedule, with the right price (to customers), etc, overselling would work well and ethically. Unfortunately, the extreme majority of people in the business of overselling are all in it for quick/get-rich-quick/fast/cheap money.

    Limits of ASSS

@Lynx I experience the same results on Windows 7 Professional x64. EDIT: I did a test on my laptop (2GB RAM) and totally maxed out on my hardware. I could only get to ~17 instances of mervbot.exe. [Net] MaxOutlistSize = 1500(Default or previous value was 500.) Some pics coming soon. I will have to repeat this under a x86 VM on my workstation (since it has 4 jigabytes o' RAM). Obviously, the hypothesized "512-player" limit I made initially a long time ago is now proven incorrect. And unfortunately, I did not login to the zone to see the bots myself. I haven't examined the log yet, but I am curious to know how many public arenas with how many bots were made. asss.log EDIT2: After examining the log, it appears ASSS had only created one arena...
