  1. SSCentral's keeps crashing early in the morning when it is downloading the zone list. Only begun a couple days ago.
  2. Removed it due to annoyance of rootbear reporting anything and everything.
  3. They actually think the waves might reach as far as Japan and Alaska (guess they did years before when a large earthquake happened in same area). Even went as far as testing our tsunami warning sirens here in WA, and buddy of mine on msn said they tested theirs in northern CA. Hopefully here in the next 10mins we find ourselves being overcautious and nothing happens.

  5. From TW.org: Hi, This weekend (26th - 28th) I will be testing out a tileset that leonardo91681 has made. The tileset is slightly brighter, and rough looking, but the overall impression is that many battles have taken place to capture the flag! ....And keep it. So come down to the Trenches this weekend and tell me or leonardo91681 what you think of his tileset. Regards, by Mootland Farmer Sounds worth checking out, and knowing Trench, will probably be a lot of events.
  6. $9420 - good times.
  7. My hops 13-21 match his 9-17. Not lag wise, except hop 14 for him I have the same on 18. Dunno what is up. I can connect to the zone no issue though, so i don't think that is the cause. Gonna see if mecbot responds to e-mail anymore.
  8. fixed
  9. true that.
  10. Typically it means a bot got kicked out when trying to connect.
  11. Search Keywords (Top 25) [pre]continuum 149 5.2 % subspace 133 4.6 % ss 113 3.9 % forum 109 3.8 % ssforum 94 3.2 % to 51 1.7 % forums 49 1.7 % a0tqd 45 1.5 % hyperspace 36 1.2 % directory 26 0.9 % server 25 0.8 % zone 23 0.8 % 0.40 22 0.7 % ssforums 21 0.7 % mac 20 0.6 % coupon 20 0.6 % download 20 0.6 % stardock 19 0.6 % a 18 0.6 % how 18 0.6 % free 17 0.5 % tileset 16 0.5 % file 15 0.5 % make 15 0.5 % quadtree 14 0.4 % [/pre] Not as bad as they use to be. But that is also cause I blocked bots from reading a lot of forums/threads now. But obviously, some of those, still stupid. Keyphrases used on search engines Just a random amount... [pre]ssforum 85 7.8 % ss forum 62 5.7 % a0tqd 30 2.7 % subspace forums 22 2 % ssforums 21 1.9 % ss forums 18 1.6 % continuum 0.40 18 1.6 % forum ss 15 1.3 % stardock coupon 12 1.1 % desert op 11 1 % subspace hyperspace 11 1 % subspace continuum 10 0.9 % naica crystal cave 8 0.7 % hyperspace subspace 7 0.6 % pny a0tqd 7 0.6 % subspace forum 7 0.6 % ssforum.net 6 0.5 % ss-forum 6 0.5 % continuum directory server 6 0.5 % a small warzone 6 0.5 % continuum download 5 0.4 % top 20 proxy websites 5 0.4 % ssdir.playsubspace.com 5 0.4 % firefox not connecting 4 0.3 % lvzs 4 0.3 % rip ronald mcdonald 4 0.3 % continuum mac 4 0.3 % unable to retrieve new zone listing 4 0.3 % a0tqd-t 4 0.3 % continuum subspace 4 0.3 % avatar obsession 3 0.2 % site ssforum.net subspace.inet.fi 3 0.2 % gallitin 3 0.2 % subspace mac 3 0.2 % qq 3 0.2 % [/pre] Again, some very odd ones. But again, not as bad as before. No tits, ass, fuck, cum, cars, clinton, bush, etc. etc. Stuff that would return from the Spam Lounge and World Discussion forums that had NOTHING to do with SS. So far this month, hits are way down yes, but the keywords are more SS like. So maybe it has its downsides blocking the forums from bots, but obviously beyond a few odd ones in there, there are people searching for this game or things in it. But just not enough to make me say search engines are the way. IGN, Gamepro, MMOG sites, Gamespy, etc. Those are where we should put our focus.
  12. I think the autopermission ID list had something to do with a list of macids or userids stored in a .txt file server side. idallow.txt would be my 1st guess.
  13. Advertising on general sites is the wrong route, and this has now been confirmed. We need to work on advertising on gaming sites. We are aiming at gamers, not just random people who maybe typed in some of the keywords. Try typing in some of them sometime and look at the top results, and imagine what those people are looking for looking at these top results. Free Online Game for instance, most people end up at sites for kids, flash game sites, etc. If you look at those games, they are single player, and don't require a download. The only reason that (well atleast when I had root on TT's server this was true) SSForum was beating out SSDL on hits for some time while I was monitoring the 2, was how much our threads return in results we'd never care to be showing up for. IE: Cars, Tight Ass, etc. Trust me, I have shared some of the odd ones with the admins before over some good laughs. May even look up some of the recent ones and share here later. But yeah. Obviously noone is searching for a game like ours. So we need to go to people who do play games like us, and let them know about us. Just my 2 cents.
  14. Still got em both.
  15. Fixed. had nothing to do with 32bit or 64bit. Was just the relation between the installer and Continuum.exe itself. All fixed on both installers.
  16. Uh, I run x64, lol. I'll talk to him.
  17. The newer graphics remove a lot of the artifacts created by compression.
  18. I have created 2 long needed installers for Continuum. They are updated installers with currently working directory servers, higher quality sounds and graphics, and an updated zone list. There are 2 installers available for download in our Downloads section. The basic installer is just Continuum 0.40, while there is also now the Continuum 0.40 with Server installer. This comes with a pre-configured server setup for new users. It is an updated version of L.C.'s Server Kit, and can be quickly and easily launched from the server folder where Continuum is installed. And for those players wishing to have the High Quality version of sounds and graphics, there is a zip file available for download. Please let me know asap of any issues. Though I have tested these installers many times, issues can come up. Thanks and Enjoy.

  20. Ah, thought Sama had. Will do.
  21. It's not really invisions (thank god). The new features it is coming out with will be very nice. They are essentially trying to merge Trac/Sourceforge style managing plus more features into IPB. So should serve DCME nicely once it is complete.
  22. I thought SSCE was SSC Exodus also and SSCC was SSC Chicago? SSCT was SSC Texas SSCB was SSC It was a letter SFSS was StrikeForce SubSpace or StrikeForce SubSpace Servers
  23. yeah, this is something me and lc discussed. I was trying to figure out why our analytics stats were half of our AWStats stats. And AWStats was closer to ssforum internal stats. I mean, through some thought I did figure out a few of the reasons though. 1. IPB uses a lot of Ajax, so clicking around editing, changing views, doing topic operations, etc. will load a page but not really load it. Also redirector pages, etc. All of these pages don't use the IPB skin templates, so they don't load the javascript. 2. Google Analytics shows 48%ish of our visitors are FF and 24%ish are IE. Whereas the opposite is true per SSF and Webalizer stats (well FF is 31%ish). So odds are high that it is guests with javascript disabled using IE. Not that they matter anyways, but eh. 3. People downloading Continuum from SSO and a few sites I added SSF's download to, get a direct download, and again it doesn't load the javascript, just the file. Was 1 or 2 other thoughts I had about it, but can't remember them right now. But the large difference between the 3 stats softwares had me confused. Especially since SSF and AWStats stats were close, and analytics being so much off.
  24. Well fine then.
  25. pm me and I'll getcha your login info.
