  4. The funny part about this is that Cheese doesn't actually realize his own stupidity, judging from the fact that he posted this. I wonder if he really doesn't understand that nobody wants to buy a lottery ticket just so they have a minimal chance of winning their money back (best case scenario) and a huge chance of.. well.. not winning anything. I mean.. nobody can be that stupid, right? Cheese must be acting this just to cause a scene. The idea in a real lottery is that you put in like $5 and have a chance to win $5,000,000. Not that you put in $5 to have a chance to win $5. Edit: This doesn't belong in this part of the forum by the way, can you please learn to put this kind of silliness in the trash talk part of the Hyperspace forum, so it doesn't have to be moved?   5. Of course, and you can replace 10 with 5, and burst spamming will be even faster. What the hell is your point, an item like this is not going to happen. New items are supposed to increase variety, and this item would certainly decrease it. Every single rusher would use it.

  7. Unlike DSB, Hyperspace has a rule that's summed up as "no lame behavior", which is there for people just like you, Avast, as it covers any rule loophole you can imagine. Also, this thread is useless and it's now about Avast threatening HS. Might as well close it.

  9. Can subgame do 'fake players' in any way? Like with bots? Can you have bots mess with packages? If so I could see the system creating a 'fake player' for connected users and then 'intercepting' packages sent to those fake players. Doing that, you could have the bot then 'translate' the packages and send them to the user connected with the applet. But all of this assumes that subgame can somehow emulate ASSS functionality.
  10. Cheese, sometimes I just don't get you. Why do I see you complaining about item spam (you prefer to use hints to prostitution rather than the word 'spam', though) in quite a few flag games if you're going to proceed to post an item, that is dedicated to making item spam even more annoying, on the forums? 20 bombdelay would make thor- and/or burstspamming even more effective. Not to the fact mention that Salvo fills the role of item-rapid-fire bomb quite well, and the fact that it has some use for ships that aren't rushers isn't exactly a bad thing, now is it?
  11. Items don't do this in Hyperspace, same way they don't increase balling time or allow you to bounty in base if you can't do so without the item. Random deaths all over the place doesn't sound like a fun way to center. What if I want to bounty and people get their ships with this item out, just to taunt me to kill them and eventually die without them even having to hunt me down? I'm sure I could come up with more but these two are clear enough.
  12. The funny part is that you claim you're "banned for no reason" eventually, although the reason is quite obvious. If you're being the biggest pain in the backside ever without ever breaking a rule, and annoy staff to such an extent that ignoring you is the only option (which staff can't do en masse as then you can do anything in chat you want), then clearly a silence or ban is deserved and the only solution to the problem. Edit: Note that this is off-topic, go discuss this in the off-topic part of forums. I'm sure there's one around here.
  13. First of all, bot issues are in no way connected to people's staff status. I could make a bot claiming to offer a 50/50 chance heads/tails game when in reality the odds are 45/55 and I certainly wouldn't be fired for doing it. Player bots are just that, player bots. If you wouldn't trust giving CommanderHB2 $1000 if he says he'll give you $2000 back, there's no reason you should trust his bot(s) to do so. And as Corey said, these things don't belong on the forum. Talk to a moderator like PlayWolf, me, Corey, Noldec.. INGAME. Edit: Avast, I think you're used to swearing in other zones, so I'm pretty sure you'd be silenced rather quickly, meaning we don't have to spend too much time on you.
  14. I've never actually wanted to have gun/bomb replacements that boost other areas of the ship (or even the other weapon). Read my explanation in the other post. I just dislike the 'other stats' tradeoff for Gatling Beam, making them more of a tradeoff won't make me like it more.

    I wouldn't be surprised if SSCE going down caused the server to corrupt persist data or something silly like that.

  17. While none of these items look (really) imbalanced (which is quite unique on these forums..), I don't really like any of them particularly. First of all, guns have never had drawbacks unrelated to the weapon. That's mainly because it's incredibly hard to properly 'judge' how much you can boost a weapon's power for an unrelated side-effect, and simply because I don't quite like the 'feel', same way I don't like the 'feel' of making a -weapon delay item, even though it could theoretically be balanced. And then I'm just against 'sacrificing' weapon slots for other benefits. This is mainly because this would affect the ability of players to 'reach' +10 in properties, thereby increasing overall ship power in most of the situations these items would be used. Although the 'feel' argument applies here as well. Still, it looks like some thought went into these suggestions, and I appreciate that. Edit: Oh, and bombdamageup doesn't exist. I wish it did. Bombdamage is just one number, and the actual damage done by a bomb depends on the distance it explodes from you. Here's an explanation by bomook, stolen from the armor v4 topic:

    Zone Down?

    As of.. well, now: SSCE went down, followed by around 2 minutes of uptime, followed by the zone being online but impossible to connect to. No changes made by me, so I don't know the cause.
  19. Nothing, after Dr Brain 'repaired' the zone he likely had to replace my HSCore 'compilation' by a different one. Changes will be up soon. But they're not major, seriously, it's just a 'default' property for shrap level, so I can let Shrapnel Shell work as intended. Edit: Closed topic, use the pinned topic instead.
  20. Lol, guys, it's hardly a new hscore. It's the smallest modification to it in years, probably. All I did was add 'support' for a property so I can mess with shrapnel(level) a little more effectively. Multiple ship profiles and all that cool jazz might be implemented some day, but not quite yet. Edit: And yes, I need Dr Brain to fix this. I've already found the issue (most likely) but I can't fix it because my only means of accessing the server is through ?commands when it's online.

  23. But they can still all be overpowered if the goal 'power' of ships is lower than that. I.e. if TW had supership settings 'by accident', all ships would be overpowered.
  24. Missiles require a ship to be given up, some fake player stuff I don't quite feel like coding, and more.
