Here's the world that my flat mates and I have been working on. It's a shame you can't view layers (I don't think so anyway) - but there's a mine cart going from the small island on the far right to the central spawn point underground. We started working in one of the early alphas and had to spawn in ice, and we used a little TNT when we wondered how it would work... So it's not completely cheat free

Hey, I tried patching the macports version of wine (see my website for details) however it was unsuccessful - the error output seems similar to that of an unpatched version of wine running continuum so I may not have patched things correctly but when I get a chance I'll try to repatch it. Macports seems to install wine to three locations, the opt mount point, the usr mount point and also within the macports directory it's self. When I get more of an idea on this method I'll let you know as it's far simpler than doing a compile. I'm also writing a java installer that will check the system and hopefully install a patched version of wine without any user interaction; which will hopefully save everybody a lot of time. I may not be on tonight but I'll try and get on to explain things a little better.

Hey, add me on Skype, my address is Christopher.lnx - I have both 10.5 and 10.6, and I'll get 10.5 running on a virtual machine. There are some odd parts of the ./configure output, which I'll try to figure out in the mean time. It's a lot quicker getting things sorted this way. Edit: Looks like I'd have to edit my current vmx files to do that, and unfortunately it's exam time so I won't have the time to do so. I'll try and figure this out as best I can using OS X, and I'll document all of my steps in as much detail as possible - hopefully we'll be able to track down where I've gone wrong in my documentation.

Hi, I can confirm that Wine can compile on 10.5, and also run Continuum. There seems to be an issue after you run make. Try the following commands: $ ./configure $ make depend && make OR $ make depend && make -j 4 (if you're using dual core etc) Don't bother with the patching, let's just see if we can get things compiled (but don't do make install, as we won't want to install an unpatched version of wine to the system). Could you post the whole ./configure output, as that is where the error is most likely going to be reported. If you like, we can speak on Skype/Teamspeak/Ventrilo to get this sorted faster?

Yeah, that's understandable however Skype isn't as gaming friendly (the reason I am hosting this, is purely a request from one of the zones I host).

Perhaps you could make these graphics optional, I am sure when they're this quality a lot of people will use them. The 20MB download is no issue when downloading from a mirror, it's just an issue when downloading from a client.

Hi, there seems to be an issue with ssdir.playsubspace.com directory server, as it is not removing previous zones from its list of online zones. The zone SSL CTF(AS3), which has now been renamed to SSCL Tri-Sector is still showing on the directory server with an incorrect port (6012 instead of 6014). I'm not entirely sure what is causing the error, but I believe it could be the rate at which the directory server updates its zone listings. This is causing other directory servers to show the same errors, as it appears that most other directory servers mirror the results from ssdir.playsubspace.com. If possible, could you please restart the directory server. Thanks

I said nothing significant, merely corrected Freakmonger about his doubts of him sitting in a prison cell (he was placed into solitary confinement as soon as he turned himself in on Dec 7, with only one hour of exercise/day etc) and that I made my post while he was still being detained (although on bail, still in solitary confinement due to the flight risk factor). I also mentioned that accusing of somebody of something by no means entails they have committed any sex offences. There have been some problems with ssdir.playsubspace it seems, it may be listed as SSL CTF (SSC) on some directory servers. I'm looking into the issue. Scratch that, issue resolved. You will be able to download the zone as SSCL Tri-Sector, happy subspacing!

It's a great shame that somebody who works selflessly on something so honourable is currently sitting in a prison cell, possibly illegally. I have sympathy to Assange and his plight, but even if they give him a custodial sentence it won't make two shades of difference. Wikileaks is now larger than any single person, and no matter what they do as long as secrets exist, they will still appear on the net. This week has found Wikileaks more fans and I hope for the best for Assange.

Riiiiggghhhtttt - Anyway, I'd rather not pay anything, still get 1mbps+ download speeds that are easy to prioritize (so I don't actually notice I am downloading while surfing) and not pay anything at all. Also, it's very easy to encrypt your downloads, and even if a law-firm jump on your arse about a claim you are always free to ask them to prove it. Rapidshare/Usenet or whatever flavour is your taste is over-rated, and over-priced. Why pay for something you can get elsewhere for free.
