  1. Out of interest, what are your favourite pieces?
  2. Nice, thanks.
  3. Nice tool, will try it out soon.
  4. Hi, Was just wondering if you happen to have any makefiles for the discretion modules already written out (server), as it would save me some time writing some. Cheers
  5. Not too long, but no doubt TT will get back to Audrey soon enough. As far as I was aware, TT only hosted the zone (and never done too much development) so the ethics shouldn't be a big deal.
  6. It's clear that there's not much else to talk about here; one can conclude without any shadow of doubt that Cheese is an arsehole, and Audrey is doing what she can to try and get MG back onto its feet (with the help of other developers). Thread close time?
  7. Visit the forum often, rarely post.
  8. Tbh, she seems like a pretty good candidate to me - she actually plays the zone, and plays it a lot.
  9. Yeah, while I'm not surprised (I wouldn't expect more from any US Government), it bothers me how carelessly the US Govt. will disregard the civil liberties of thousands of its inhabitants for these "fishing expeditions" - we'll also have to bear in mind that the DoJ may have also contacted Facebook (who has >1.4mln Wikileaks fans) too with a similar subpoena, which could produce much more intricate data - placing US citizens once again onto another list. While one could argue that Wikileaks is an illegal organisation, you can also argue that not targeting specific illegal communications, but broadly sweeping millions of accounts/data trawling is also very wrong. You'd also need to consider the track record America (and England, probably being worse) has for keeping these documents secret (and not violating DPA). Either way, it won't be long until FOX are calling all of their subscribers terrorists and defending these decisions, and I guess there's not much anybody can do either.

Yeah, I agree with you - I've read at least three other similar sites are in the works, and are being set up in press neutral zones like Switzerland/Iceland. Eitherway, I believe Wikileaks will be around for a lot longer (they have other domains, and over 300 mirrors) - it'll be interesting to see how everything pans out.
  11. For the few times that I actually played MG, I enjoyed it - it was easy to get into, you could be relatively bad at the zone yet still get some limelight play, and the players weren't a flock of trolls. Each time I speak to a regular MG player, they've all seemed to either blame the development of the zone being against the opinions of the players, or the staff inactivity. Two issues which can be addressed fairly easily, after all, the zone (when I played it at least) was still fun with 20 players, which I believe is a very realistic target to achieve within a couple months of development.
  12. [boingboing.net] detailed write up Lol... "...O'er the land of the free". It's been amusing. I feel sorry for the thousands of innocent Americans who will now be placed onto another list for something as insignificant as their curiosity.
  13. The picture of House is actually pretty damn good. Lol

Shoot a powerball with no friction? Use either ALT or F4/F5 (whichever it is) to track the ball from spec? Edit: Typo

Thinking of it, I don't see the issues of drawing a line with an image editor? I mean, provided you're doing a LONG shot (which are never really a very good idea) that would probably be the best option. Out of curiosity L.C., what resolution do you use?

    wikileaks

Wikileaks got on just fine for years without any front-man, and I believe the first media outlet I saw in the UK to cite Wikileaks was The Guardian, back in early 2007 when Wikileaks was still a Wiki. Also, ironically, the invalidation you speak of works two ways, however unfortunately can often take the form of smear campaigns. I'm not saying that Assange isn't a rapist, as I don't know (and if I were to be honest, I wouldn't be surprised. He seems like a real creep), but that by no means that he isn't VERY good at his job, and hasn't achieved his goals.

DCME would probably be a good starting point to make this. All the foundation is there, and what you're stating (L.C.) is relatively easy to create. Drake/Sama may help you out.

    wikileaks

That's provided another front man ever appears. What matters is the organisation releases confirmed authentic documents that show a lot of the aggressive illegal regimes that occur for us as free nations to interpret without Govt. spin doctoring. This will happen as long as there's a means, and rest assured this will always be the case.
  20. Not enough for you to go over your limit. Depending on the server, you'll probably average around 2.5kbps. With some rudimentary mathematics you should be able to figure out how much Continuum consumes. There are tools around that log what applications are consuming your bandwidth, and some firewalls do too.
  21. Yeah you can, that's how I usually play. You can also play multiplay on the net.
  22. Just checked it out, they're really cool features, brilliant work!
  23. If you feel like you have the time to devote to the zone, then go for it. It was a fun place, and it's had population in the past - there's no reason why it will not get population again. The only reason (in my opinion) the zone ever dwindled was due to staff not having enough time, it only takes one person to address that issue. If you need hosting it is readily available by either myself of L.C., who would happily get you on your feet. Either way, it's a no-lose scenario. Apparently nobody is bothered about it coming back online, therefore, you can give it your best shot. Best of luck to ya =)
  24. I don't see the point. I find that Autorun is pretty useful for flash drives as it lets you quickly open the folder to drop into the drive quickly, the scan and fix dialog box appears only when you have dirty bits on your flash drive and autorun.inf files don't run in Windows 7. But either way, if it makes you feel like you're not a computer noob or you don't like flash drives opening quickly, disable it... Whatever gets your blood flowing.
