I feel I need to drink when I go to clubs and stuff, to loosen up enough to dance and chill out - I also enjoy a cold beer on a hot day... I don't like getting plastered though.. Ugh.. I still often manage it though..

It's not so much the story of father son sodomy which is wrong here - it's how they both got out of jail so fast for doing so. $17,500 to get out of jail for effectively causing serious sexual assault - even to a seven year old child (I'm not sure if the amount was the same for both cases - at least I hope not) - That kinda thing can mentally screw somebody up, in my opinion I'm glad the son got his tuppence's, he deserved it. If the father was a little brighter, he'd have *made the mother keep the son in jail - at least then he'd have got sodomized again by broom stick.

This post could be considered off-topic - as it's not about why Subspace is dying - but it's about why Dragonball Z fell to near-decline. If you don't want to read my view - don't open the spoiler. Also, try to be civil.. Spoiler! --Click here to view--I won't go into as much detail as I'd like to on this matter - simply because I don't see it being constructive in any way, shape or form - but I will give my own opinion to why I believe Dragonball Z has slowly lost it's population - although there are far more reasons to the ones I am about to state. I have played in several zones - however - since 2000 I have always played Dragonball Z. From what I can remember - it thrived the most when it was on SSCU hosting - and had a relatively decent staff team. However, The game play was awful.. I also significantly remember that too.. - Newbies never stood a chance (This is debatable to whether people may play more to try and become better) - All of the ships were the same - The bases had lots of flaws - The settings had lots of flaws (By flaws - I mean bugs - not how they were or whatever) - There was no organisation of external development like websites However - even still - the zone thrived in population. This may be for plenty of reasons - there may have generally been more people for each zone back then - or the reasons may be a lot more complicated, this is where we lack our "Empirical" evidence, but never the less, the zone was really !@#$%^&*-!@#$%^&*ed for the first time. Although I spoke to Gemini Dream personally - and he denied this, I have been told by many people who were higher staff at the time that Gemini Dream stole the zone, moving it from SSCU to his own hosting server. This is when we lost an awful lot of population, however, the zone did slowly start to crawl back up onto it's feet, and it began to get more population again. I guess the main reason for this decline is due to people wanting a little more authority - even if it wasn't any real authority anyway. There were then various small problems within the staff - which caused a few players to quit - maybe these were more noticeable as these players had their "reputation" - but speaking in terms of population, they were probably replaced anyway. The second time Dragonball Z really lost it's population was when Spade12 moved Omega Fire from a Dragonball Z sub-arena to an external zone. This is when we had masses of advertisers (And Spade12 generally being popular among people in the zone) - managed to get a lot of our population. This wasn't the major part of the decline - it was the retaliation Dragonball Z gave to Omega Fire for doing this. As most of you may know - bigshot3754 was the previous owner of the zone, before I was - however at this time he was a SMod in the zone, and was very much into the game - and didn't like Spade12's actions. To put a long story short, he took Omega Fire down, earned himself a 1000 day net ban, and DBZ went off-line. (So did Omega Fire). Both zones did eventually come back into play, though, and slowly regained access to SSC - but there wasn't really any problems between the two zones there after - however I guess you were frowned upon if you played both. However, the zones population now was severely damaged, and Goku8234(*1) was never on-line. The zone began to slowly populate, and with bigshot3754 on ban-free, he slowly began development. A few things changed, but we'd lost most of the "old-timers" to other zones - or they'd generally quit due to college, university, work or real life. This was when we made some movement to making a new map. Anaconda++ helped us out, and we got a good map - this created a short burst of population. Goku was still nowhere to be seen, and without Goku, no real changes could be made to the zone. bigshot3754 was granted ownership. (This wasn't a reason for decline, but it seems like a good starting point) - The map (Mentioned earlier) - didn't fit the game, loads of bugs were found, people !@#$%^&*ed constantly and it was back to the drawing boards. Several new maps were then made, but again to no avail. This is when the changes in settings slowly began. There were a lot of people abusing certain bugs in the game which were related to the settings/map/setup. However, due to the way Dragonball Z is - it's always buggy. If something new is implemented - it generates a bug elsewhere. However, the staff team publicly announced that they were going to make changes - to everything. The map changed, the settings were altered to make bombs worth shooting and hazaa - the place was running without anybody able to cheat (Excluding the use of CE), events were a common thing, we had a lot of skilled players, flag games were awesome to play again, and everybody was happy.. For a while.. Then came the people who love to whine.. It was something along the lines of "olderplayer> Argh I got killed by teh new bomb - and as it was put in by them S!@#$%^&* BAG STAFF recently - dood why are they even hear they dont even do nething!! - it's the reason why it sucks.. I hate this, its ruined the game. I know - instead of admitting that its about time that a newbie stands a chance against me - I will start to flame newbs so they will never play here again!" - However - we never opted to silence these people as Finland My BorgInvasion mentioned earlier - and a lot of people quit. I guess this was staff incompetence, to not remove problematic vermin. The zone still lasted - it was rotting from the inside though. The settings were still very uneven - and newbies never stood a chance against anybody who had played there for a few months - and the staff team was slowly starting to become corrupt. There were various troublesome players who would always flame - no matter what it would be about, and there were also staffers from months before who were completely inactive but still listed as staff due to them being "Vets". The zone began to crumble - very slowly. bigshot3754 then started to separate himself from the game. This was generally due to life kicking in - however this separation was only truly in place when he went out and bought a Mac. Dragonball Z was hanging on by a few threads - there were still some staffers running the place, but people began to lose interest. Obviously an awful lot happened between 2 and 5 - but I am not even nearly bothered to go into detail, as I'm also sure that only a few of you will even want to read this far into the post. But if you're still interested - it was time for another change. L.C. made the first step. He figured it'd be a great idea if we got the settings and the map from back in 00 - he fiddled with the settings a tad to remove the lag bugs - and figured by this work we'd have a zone crawling in oldies - because they'd all give up life - and play. It may have been a slightly good idea in theory if you're against forward thinking - but to cut a long story short - it never worked - and he became obsessed in the idea that when I objected to something, he went off on one. (His idea was re!@#$%^&*ed) - but apparently to my objection he quit his idea of development (spending 4 months asking people who actually played the zone to give him zone files, typing *putfile dbz1.lvl, making a news.txt and arranging all of the subarenas into files like dbz001part5 and making a simple website) thinking that this was the answer to all of the zones problems. I think that the largest population he gained while doing this was maybe 15 players. He even removed all of our LVZs so the zone was truly looked like it was put together in 10 minutes. *sigh* - anyways - I hated this. Not only was this a re!@#$%^&*ed idea - but he advertised this idea like it was going to be a good thing on various forums (Here especially) - I don't know how many of you guys visited the place - but I apologise on L.C.'s behalf for letting you guys download it. It was I guess a worthless download where people would look at the map and figure.. "Hrmm.. Maybe the settings make up for this piece of !@#$%^&* map... Whoa - they don't.. !@#$%^&* this I'm going to Halo.." I opted for owner of the zone. I done this as I wanted to start putting things right - but I was a fool for doing this. I was just a little more active than bigshot3754 at the time - due to me doing 4 a2-levels and an as-level at college - real life wasn't catching up - I was getting dragged by my toes by real life. The zone was dead again for a few months - holding a little population. We then started making moves toward re-development.. again - I had realised how useless an inactive owner was - so I upped Rick James from Sop to Owner - now we both own the Dragonball Z. I have around an hour a day to play the zone and to put my two cents into place - RJ has around 15 hours a day to do so . We also figured that the old-school Dragonball Z was a lost cause - it really had no fans. However - it did have SSC billing and a host - this meant it had the capability of at least raising to it's knees again - possibly feet. Lots have been changed. We now only hire staffers who have an unhealthy addiction to the game - however we are also trying to train our staffers too. We brought back a temporary map which held a decent population with less bugs, and we also began making several changes to the settings - these changes incorporate a lot more items, and a lot more features, however - we're still balancing out these features. Within a few days, the zone was peaking a 25 players - which is an awful lot better than 4 players. This population was gathered completely randomly - generally by word of mouth between zones - and was gathered while we were editing the settings publicly - we hadn't even changed much - but we're now slowly gathering a whole new population of new players who are slowly getting used to the game play. Since some of our changes - even the older players are finding it hard to play against newer players. In my opinion - that's balanced settings. With the !@#$%^&*urance of a staff member nearly always being on-line - there's always somebody to talk to - and this is even before our next scheduled "release date" - or update may be the better word. I generally believe now - that the zone does have a good chance of repopulating - provided changes are slowly implemented into the zone - and we try and control those who speak negatively of the changes a little more. As for the whole game dying, in my opinion - it is. I don't know if it will ever be truly dead - but it is certainly losing population. *1 - Goku8234: The owner of the zone at the time.

any zone is "Corrupted" in people's eyes whenever they get banned, but in the meanwhile they forget that THEY did things wrong and for you lynx thats probably not the whole story 9 out of 10 times you guys start trying to har!@#$%^&* the staff. Actually - it was more or less the whole story. The guy who was TKing me was dealt with and had left the arena promptly after - I'm not sure whether he left because he was banned, or because he just quit, but the ER was complaining that I was whining about the guy who TKed me - and I told him what I thought of his opinion and we got into an argument - which I got banned for. Hence why I said "After the whole thing was settled". By the way - I never broke a rule - I complained about the guy - I don't know whether it was dealt with, but my complaint was comprehended, there was absolutely no har!@#$%^&*ment. I guess I'm the tenth that's not accounted for.
-
TW is corrupt - I got TK'd and I got banned for having an argument with some re!@#$%^&*ed ER - after the whole thing was settled.
-
They tried to ban me in DS a couple years ago, but the staff were morons back then and didn't know how to use banG so I kept byp!@#$%^&*ing, it was fun. I think the zone i've been banned in most is DBZ (close to net ban twice) - funny how I own the place now..

We will see if this issue is really no biggie. All I have to say on that comment.

I guess this is that "Professional" - "Straight" - "Extravagant" !@#$%^&* he was talking about earlier. So he then tries to mock me by saying a stupid 5-year-old comeback. Then, when I ask him why he is being an !@#$%^&*hole.. And he contradicts himself completely, I have shown no "Tone" or "At!@#$%^&*ude" - however he decides to be an !@#$%^&*hole. So I attempt to make some worthwhile content out of the arguement, but he goes on about my so-called temper. The only reason he is doing this, is to apparently anger me. So he tries to come out with some deep philosophical !@#$%^&*.. Which really is just dumb.. About how I decide to control my emotions bla bla bla, obviously trying to annoy me - then has the ordasity to say that "real businessmen don't piss eachother off to get somewhere." - I mean, what the !@#$%^&*? Anyways, to continue.. Now, let's talk a little about co-operation. From day-one when L.C. decided to do this revival project, I was optimistic, and complimented him on his good work. Even though I felt it wasn't the best idea, I was more than willing for him to continue. I guess that when you let a dog learn a dirty trick, it gets carried away sometimes. Eventually, further into his "deveolpment" - he implements a change which I really do not agree with. I then question him upon it, to recieve replies of condescending nature and on numerious occasions he actually offends me with his stupid talk. I find it ironic how the little re!@#$%^&* can say that my co-operation is not at it's best, when all that I have offered him is co-operation, to have it thrown back into my face with elitest nature. .. To Continue.. I wouldn't say single-handed decision making, and ignorance to peoples thoughts is even in the co-operation spectrum. I'm sure that if it was not for your pricked up at!@#$%^&*ude in the first place, I would not be here showing how much of an !@#$%^&*hole you are. Instead of stating his own problems, he blames my so called annoyance the #1 problem. Then maybe asks me to leave? I wonder for how long he'd like me to leave. My ###th attempt at actually rectifying the situation, and defusing the problem. ... I'm not sure if it's his basic understanding of English, or him just being an !@#$%^&*hole.. Anyways.. !@#$%^&*hole talk.. Yet again, he behaves like an !@#$%^&*hole.. Another example of that good ol' business-man like behaviour.. Oh well, we will see how long this lasts.

About the whole rockets thing.. I notice it.. The Apache notices it.. It did appear backwards out of yours too right? * KING Steven !! <3 Kirstie says (21:24): yeah * KING Steven !! <3 Kirstie says (21:24): a bit anyway L Y N X> Hey R i z l a > sup L Y N X> Do rockets kinda appear backwards when you rocket? King of the Hill restarted R i z l a > yea a lil bit Should be okay if you just copy the rocket settings, however that's just a waste of time anyways.. I feel.. Why not just stick with the previous? And then stick with a previous map, which works well and is bug tested? And then, carry on developing from that? This is just a huge waste of time.

Good Idea. Requires Recycle Eh? The !@#$%^&* is personal about that? Population? There is a difference between not caring about the zone, and not caring for your ways of running the zone. Read the complete sentance "I believe that if you wish to contribute some decent work to the zone, maybe you should actually make a map, remove the bugs in the settings, or help with some LVZ's which are actually themed to the Dragonball Z anime show." - My belief on how you should actually help the zone. Not just rolling back the zone. Sure, how about what has already been done.. Like, a new map, better settings, a decent order of staff (No not a rotational team of far too many), some LVZ's which theme the zone more (other than them horrible cartoon ships) - i'm happy they're gone. ???

No - I was talking about the general latency settings - I can expose this bug privately to you. Using a bot, how does one detect run winning without completely changing the aspects of game play? By this, you are over-referring to RJ's bots, which were in the zone for around a week or so. I was against this - however he was for it. The only bots which I entered were: Eternal-Dragon (Main bot) AI Bot 1 AI Bot 2 (Regret second bot, as I could not make them stay on their own freq - was in spec for most of the time) Duel Bot (Regulated duels, to prevent lamers interfering) Elim Bot (Called Elim matches if X many people entered Elim) You are also completely ignoring the population which we gained - however then lost due to inactivity of RJ (Quitting) - Me (Having my A-Level Exams - Yes they are more important than this game) and yourself completing your own small project. I was not referring to people memory hacking - although it was a problem, it is not a huge one - and none of your work can possibly change that problem - however, I was referring to people quick winning, run winning, creating unfair team play, and obviously the lag and wall hopping problems, which I am informed that you have fixed. Yes - I realise you have now re-installed it (on condition), however I am also talking about your future plans to edit it to make it into a radar which only works when you are near the flags. There have been NO attempts at removing the bugs. Name them please. Yes, you have fixed the lagging through walls - I commend you, you have finally done it. However, you still need to tackle the problems of serious downgrades, especially bullet which is meant to be wish only, also what is received in greens around the map, and the rockets thrust is not correct, I’m not sure if that was in the previous settings, or you changed it when you attempted to fix the lagging through walls problem, but it is appearing backwards out of mine and other players ships. Also, I can still lag out for too long, allowing me to travel into bases - and now repel time is too short, making it less efficient in basing. The centre safety is still open. There are still safe zones in base FR's There are three dragon radars - This is all from the top of my head, with investigation, I am sure I could go on. If you had active players, I wouldn't be posting. That's one way you could look at it, or maybe another is that I would rather type in a name of a sub-arena which relates to it.. For example.. For a dueling sub - I’d type go duel. For a sub-arena which holds the first DBZ map, I’d type ?go old1 - most human beings would rather remember something which is relational, not a series of numbers. You don't need to be a statistic freak to be "clean, straight, "professional", top-notch or even "extravagant". No, it was not that which pissed me off, it's the manor in which you replied and talked to me in a conversation which we had in-game. That conversation did not bother me at all - I simply said that I do not like the whole reversal, and if in a month, it is still dead, I would go onto carrying on my plans of development (graphics, plug-ins and map with brighter colors and theme to the zone) with the help of others. I had some offers here and there, but the one which standed out most was by Death+ - however I am unsure if he is still willing. To get onto why I was annoyed, was the conversation we had about staff-chats and the need to add the staff password into the Auto function instead of the password field (as you're supposed to) - as we're all going public today - I have a small pre-created do!@#$%^&*ent explaining it - I will make it public now. The first change The first change which I am bothered about, is the need for staffers to remove their staff-password from their password field, and then either enter it with the Auto function, or enter it manually. This idea bothers me, as staffers are volunteers to the zone, I see no point in h!@#$%^&*ling the staff to do this, when they can just leave it in their password field. True, it is dangerous to let people log in with the password in their password, as it lets siblings or friends log in and abuse, however, it is more dangerous for a staffer to enter it in the auto function, as not only can siblings and friends abuse, it appears in log-files. My log file is.. Very large. And I often reference it in disputes or other activities, and I will regret if it is the fault of a staffer to accidentally publish a password. Any to which pro L.C.'s idea has created, has seemed to create a greater con. The reason to why this whole auto idea has been adopted by L.C. - is because he believes that staffers are only staffers, when required. Any other time they are a player, nothing more. Therefore, they are only required to log into staff, when they are needed. ... I then detest this further more, due to the whole way in which a zone like this is. Fascist.. In my opinion anyway. I don't let him know I believe this yet. To which I receive the reply... ... In that statement has he successfully offended me by confusing his fascist beliefs, with me being lazy. This angered me, so I question him, to whether he trusts his staffers. This question is sprung in an argument to why using the Auto function is better; because it does not allow staffers to see private freqs. ... Completely pointless question, not relating to the subject, so I ignore it. Let's continue with the quote. To which I was interrupted, so I shall continue my point now. I believe that it is vital to find the abusers in the zone, as early as possible. (Pre-Moderator or Moderator stages) - so it does not come to a point where you have power-hungry fools, who abuse their power to the point it destroys the zone. I can go further into this argument if I point out the zone SSCI Halo. It has this exact problem, the minions receive masses of power, to which they abuse when they realise that only the few can revoke their power. This leads onto the second change, the change which really annoyed me. The Second Change This change, is the one which L.C. adopted to change the staff chat, which ONLY staffers can join, from DBZSTAFF (Nice, simple, easy to remember and very high security) - to something ridiculous. "---------" ("ab23b14" as an idea) to be precise. Not only is this not secure to those which have logged in to their staff powers, it is hard to remember. As I do log in from multiple computers, and seem to often run into stupid problems when a computer breaks down, I can't afford to remember a staff password which, will indefinitely need changing each time a staffer is fired. The exact problem which we had numerous times before the UPGRADE was conducted to only allow staff into staffer chats. ... And now for the whammy, he attacks me on the belief that he thinks I do not care about the zone, because I don't see the time to care for a staff chat which I believe is un-necessary. This angered me. So, due to me questioning his ways of running the zone, he has come to the judgment that I do not care for the zone. Maybe he could win the best spin doctor of the year award for that little trick. I mean, some way to control your "lessors" L.C. - That actually reminds me... ... A seemingly subtle attack on me, reminding me that I am apparently a subordinate to his power, and should just listen, not question. I mean, this was pointed out in the very beginning of our conversation, before it even became a dispute. I also find it ironic, that he points out this, after all the democratic bull!@#$%^&* that we're only players, not staffers, but hey, we are actually all ranked. The stupidity has seemingly become very apparent. My Opinion I shall begin that this is obsolete to this argument, but I feel that I should say a few things to retort properly to L.C.'s comments, as he has, offended me, and pissed me off. In my opinion, L.C. is an analytical idiot, who has a partisan liking to the past, and believes that the work which he has completed in the zone, is actually a great deal, when in fact, he has only really created a news file, website and other small tasks. Things which the zone did not really need. Instead of attempting to "revitalise" the zone, he has roled the zone back to a state of bugs and errors and taken all of the credit for his actions. I question his dogma to the running of the zone completely, and believe that he needs to focus more on the sociology of the zone, not just the letters and numbers. I trust no fool who names a sub-arena "dbz01082007" or a staff chat "----------" - However if he wishes to be so define about a child's game, then so be it. The second point to which I am going to retort, is the way in which he commented... I have not once said that I am "taking over" anything, I said that I am going to reverse the changes again, and go into development. I don't understand exactly how L.C. thinks, but I guess he means that when the bot prevented ball kills, when an awesome one of a kind LVZ was created at the dawn of LVS's that showed ball coords, when the bot allowed players to be invited and kicked from freqs, when the bot spotted people who cloned, it destroyed the zone? I don't know, but maybe a little clarification from the moron would be nice, but I think the real and more in-depth reason to the zone having a low population is a lot more interesting, and a lot more reliable than a stupid finishing comment to make one seem they are knowledgeable to real matters. I don't even know to whom he is pointing that comment, to me for being a sysop? Or to bigshot for adding bot changes? Rick James? Goku? InamotO? Hey maybe a little gra!@#$%^&*ude should be payed, let's face it, it was only when bigshot came into the scene that the bugs in the zone were removed, and the lamers and cheaters were banished. But how would the fool know, he played years ago, leaves for years, and then thinks he can fathom a story which fits. Let me begin to why I believe that the zone has low population, believe me. It is a lot more simple than an awesome map, stunning LVZ's and settings created by Einstein. It's all quite simple.. Ready... You sure?? IF YOU PLAY - THE POPULATION RAISES! WHOA! AMAZINGS! WHO'D DA THOUGHT!? Moron, take on board that when ever the higher staff play the zone, people become more interested due to new prospects. Only when a zone becomes more stable, can it run without the constant help from higher staff, and even after that, it requires staffing. I have noticed this, and other have too. If you look at the near-decline of the zone - nobody was interested in coming - RJ had left, bigshot was vacationing, and I was too busy - and I presume L.C. was spending months... Doing something or other "revitalisation" project or whatnot. Therefore, the zone had no legs to stand on, and amazingly, the zone lost population. Now, that L.C. has returned to sitting in the zone, LCD has returned and Goku has reclaimed ownership, there are obviously more points of interest in the zone - also, to add to the equation the zone is only hitting 12 (MAX) - if you compare that to when RJ and I made some changes, we were hitting 27 (MAX) - so please stop all of the petty talk that "I have done this and that, I'm SO great" because all you've done is archived some maps and settings, and implemented them. I believe that if you wish to contribute some decent work to the zone, maybe you should actually make a map, remove the bugs in the settings, or help with some LVZ's which are actually themed to the Dragonball Z anime show. The bugs will soon become apparent, and people will complain. It's just going to be a re-run of time. Also, I can pre-meditate that L.C. is going to attack me on "What have I done" - There is a simple answer to that question. I refuse to help some fool remake the zone from stage one, it is as how L.C. would say.. "Un-ethical" - We've got the exact same settings with fixed bugs available, but the fool is so mind-boggled on some old settings that he cannot see logic. If I am to help the zone, as I have done on numerous occasions with maps, settings, subs, graphics and lvzs, I shall help in a way which I see fit for the zone. Even though I feel it was un-necessary to post that, I will post it for the !@#$%^&* of it. And to what I was actually going to post, was replies to certain things which have been said on the forums. However, I am a very busy man, if i'm not doing this, i'm doing that. I find it hard to even get the time to create this reply. It's nice that you admit how much hard work you have actually put into the zone, and then question whether I am even suitable to be a staffer there, after what input I have added.

What did you previously think of the revival? I am curious. I just don't see how people can think that the zone is now better than the previous - it has been put through little work, and little effort, there are some good points about the revival like the website and news file - however all together I feel that this was exactly as portrayed .. A "rollback" - a "step back" - nothing positive can come of it. The slight increase in population is nothing but anticipated, if you have players returning - naming L.C. and LCD, Goku and myself, idling in the zone - there will be a slight increase - however none of the so called "problems" have been tackled, the settings is still not plural - it's still all about elite players, no newbs. Nothing has really been -fixed- just edited. P.s. my computer is back and working now, so I will be able to spend more time around this matter.
-
Did you read the post at all? - This is why I hate forums - all that is said seems to fall on deaf ears - the help which L.C. requies, has already been done, over the years of course. The death of DBZ is irrelivant to the help which L.C. requires.

Well, I guess I will input my views on this, now that I have some time to. Firstly, I am going to begin by saying, that I feel that this whole "revival" project is a complete... Waste of time. Instead of working and actually putting development into the zone, the zone has been reversed into an era of stupid bugs, and sloppiness which was excusable back in 2001, but is not even nearly excusable now. I would not usually fall to the level of posting my views on a forum like this, but I feel that it is necessary with the amount of stupidity that is rising from certain people on this whole matter. Also, i'm going to say in advance, that I am probably going to offend somebody here and there in what I am about to say, but it's got to happen, as some idiots like to share every squabble and flee on these forms naming it "subspace politics" or what-the-!@#$%^&*-ever. Why the project is a waste of time Well, to start with the obvious, change is a forward movement, not a stupid revision of old tactics. You cannot simply roll a zone back to the time when it had little development, or skilled developers who actually studied what people liked about the zone, and what people did not. I find it nothing but "population-suicide" to revert from a setting configuration which had elements for newbs, and no bugs, to settings which are nothing but... LAME.. Sure, the zone was fun back in 2001, but just because of that factor, you can't expect it to be fun now. back in 2001, the whole game was fun, but since 2001, a lot has changed. The general population of Subspace its self has dropped... A lot. Also, there are less of those good ol' vets who used to make it fun. Dragonball Z has not had a thriving community since the days of SSCU, it is foolish to think that it's the settings and population that have destroyed the zone, it was the stupid actions which have been carried out by various people, (GD Moving the zone from SSCU to another, disputes between DBZ and OF, higher staff just leaving the zone for months, without any sort of plan to keep it active). You also have to remember, players from even 2001 are considered veterans in DBZ, the ones which remain, either do not play, or are now very skilled. A zone like Dragonball Z is very hard to adapt to if you're coming from say.. TW - (where we do get most of our newb population) and if that little newb fights somebody who's played DBZ for years, it's not a fair match. Simple. That's why there was DEVELOPMENT, believe it or not. The faster killing bombs were no mistake fool, they were DESIGNED - and thought about. The removal of lagging through walls was removed. The lag settings were set so people can't CHEAT. Another feature of DEVELOPMENT. The new safety zones were DESIGNED in a way which people can't shoot players in SAFE when they warp there. Walls were created to stop RUN WINNERS. All elements of DESIGN. A zone does not work it's self, it's not a conscious being, it has to be adapted to the people which play it, as people get better, they become more LAME. That's when you need staffers to step in, and create new things which prevent little lame !@#$%^&*ers who ruin the game-play for newbs by say, run winning, lagging through walls, or using lag features to disappear and re-appear inside bases. Furthermore, let me also point out, that in the era of 2001, there were no great developers who actually studied the zone. DBZ was a random spouse of !@#$%^&*, which actually became a zone because it was so different. Viru$ wasn't exactly the most skilled guy, in-fact.. He was just a pot-head. (No offence, i'm sure knowing him he won't even know, or take any offence) - and the maps were not drawn up by the artistic hands of so and so, just lines and lines to shoot lines of bullets and burst and repel.. It was not until Anaconda stepped in that the zone actually begun to look like a zone - and it was not until bigshot got authority that the settings actually had some form of organisation. Before then, the zone was just - working.. Just about.. There were serious problems with people cheating, and people generally laming. I find it very hard to see how anybody can possibly think that looking at the past, looking at statistics from that time, and then comparing that to now is a step forward. For anybody to think that, there must be some form of mental-re!@#$%^&*ation. Maybe that is a little harsh, but I feel I need to get this message across. And now for my major "beefs" with L.C.'s ideas. The bot plug in. What the !@#$%^&*!? How can anybody with any sort of !@#$%^&*ing mind, remove a bot plug in which was so awesome. That was just about the only !@#$%^&*ing original thing the zone had, and when I ask him why he removed it .. - "because it is on catids website" - a little ironic for somebody who was willing to put the zone up as abandon ware when his little plot of revival failed. I mean, the thing has "DRAGONBALL Z" written on the top of the dammed graphic. However, that is now not the current story of why it is being removed. Now it is considered lame. ... . Ehrm?? Kaye. Well, let's just attempt to follow why a Dragonradar, something which initiates flag games - the best part of the zone - lame. Hrmm. Oh yeah, you can find the Dragonballs quickly. That's lame for some reason. I mean, maybe L.C. doesn't mind looking from A1 to T20 for flags which are grey on a blacked out map, but I !@#$%^&*ing don't. I also don't want to fly around a map, which has obsticals with a flag radar that tells me I am near a flag. I want to grab a "dragon radar" and be told where the dragonballs are. Maybe it's just me... Maybe I am just a no-!@#$%^&* kinda guy, I guess that some people are just full-of-!@#$%^&* kinda people. Ugh. The thought alone is frustrating me. There have been NO attempts at removing the bugs. Sure, I could spend my time rubbing out errors in settings which are out dated. But I refuse. I am NOT spending my time, going through things which have already been corrected. And there has been NO attempts at correcting anything, apart from of course ball killing after I whined about it due to being killed nearly 100 times in centre safe. That was even after some dispute. The new "arrangement" of the zone Okay.. What the !@#$%^&*. Here is a little (?) list of the sub-arenas in the zone. 4. Even for a coder, even for a !@#$%^&*ing binary machine that would be tiresome. I see no point in naming arenas that, it's just not logical. Anyway, for now, I think I am done pointing out the negative points in the whole revival. I believe L.C. has tried, and means well. From my understanding L.C. is very, maybe a little too analytical. Some people take that as a bad thing, some people take that as a good thing. L.C. is also very.. Seemingly vindictive in some of his methods. Most people would take that as a bad thing. He has pissed me off recently, however I will not drag out that little conversation right now, maybe another time. There are some good points to the whole revival. Like.. The news text.. And the website. However, my whole ideology on the revival has been set. I am a non-believer, and so far, the zone hasn't exactly swelled into a pit of excitement. It's just the same as it's always been, if you get a couple people to sit in the zone, others sit in the zone. Not much else action. Bag of laughs really. Eh? Anyways, I feel that I have already wasted enough of my time saying this segment of my opinion, I shall comment on some of the things which have previously been said in the forms tomorrow some time maybe at work or something, as I feel that a lot has been spin doctored.
