  1. ur whole life is a waste... Why whine about flamers if you flame people.. Anyways.. A lot of people are also homeless by choice due to mental instability, if you go to Cambridge University there are apparently past college professors who are living around Cambridge just begging because they've completely lost the plot - however I do agree that it is very easy to break above the poverty line, especially in England with the amount of government support available for your average Joe. - However, raising a few thousand dollars, or pounds is very far from finding a stable place to live for the rest of your life - that takes real devotion - and some cunning. From breaking that poverty line, to actually having the basic needs for a happy and productive life with a stable future are very far from one-another.

    Hey, anything new?
  4. So, the report states a load of hear-say and then pretty much completely contradicts its self? Who cares anyway, just watch a standard DVD big whoop.
  5. Yeah, but a girl from a hotel. Jeez...
  6. Wormholes have never lasted for longer than a few nano seconds, and it's impossible to determine how long it will take to travel to the secondary bubble, and if space-time becomes flat again, anything within the "tunnel" will be crushed.
  7. If we were to bend space, we would have to first figure out how to do such a feat. We do not even nearly possess enough knowledge to know what will truly happen if we were to fold space - and I don't think that we're going to find out in our lifetime, our children's lifetime, our grand children's..... and so on.. Let's just be realistic. About the man-made wormhole - where would we make such a thing safety. In order to make it safely, we would have to travel so far out - that we wouldn't even live the distance to create it - and again - we don't know what happens when something passes through it - although if we were to think logically - it's obvious that we would be moving amazingly fast, with absolutely no control - therefore we could effectively be torn to pieces due to speed effects, or even crushed completely. Also, more to the point - if we could travel far enough out to make it - where would it lead? - Why not just travel to the planet in the first place? A wormhole is a very destructive thing - and we know so little about our universe, heck even solar system, we have no idea of the effects it would have. Oh yeah - how do we make a wormhole? As for speed of light travel - we would actually require something which can resist speed of light travel - nothing exists now, and the chances we're finding new elements are near impossible, unless of course we go to another planet - however that's what this discussion is all about anyway. Also - due to the speed we would be travelling, if we were to touch the slightest piece of resistance along the way - we would be shredded. And if we were to create something so rigid that it could resist the resistance, it would probably be extremely prone to shattering.
  8. !@#$%^&*, good job. A*
  9. Or you could just get a Mac and use Bootcamp? They're expensive, but a pretty good investment, everybody who I know who's bought a Mac has never had a single problem with them - provided they use Bootcamp for compatibility issues. Just stay away from Acer - or anything that's too cheap to be true.
  10. Subspace is not an RPG. Sorry, but I don't think this will work out.
  11. !@#$%^&*, that drawing reminds me of high school science.
  12. I thought it was the liquadised version of the gas that you'd use for say your cooker??

    JabJabJab

For Jab: To get your ASSS server running, you must firstly download the latest build. This can be found here. Extract the .zip file In the root dir of the folder, open conf, then open global.conf in notepad Change the two following entries, everything else you can do with as you like. [ Billing ] ;Proxy = bin/proxy IP = 127.0.0.1 Port = 5001 ServerName = JabJabJab's Server password = jabsp!@#$%^&*word ScoreID = 9956 ServerID = 9965 [ Listen ] ;; the main listening port Port = 7001 Then, while in the conf folder open staff.conf Change the following entry, I am presuming that you're just going to be using the sysop group anyway. [(global)] ; these are "playername = group" JabJabJab = sysop Then, while in the conf folder open modules.conf, and untick directory and billing_ssc security:security directory ; billing ;; if you're using a billing server, you'll probably want to use this: billing_ssc - Now, go here, and download SSB2 Extract this, and in the root directory open subill.ini Change the following sections // Billing SysOp ?login password SysopP!@#$%^&*word=jabs_cool_except_when_he_asks_for_help // Zone login password BillingP!@#$%^&*word= jabsp!@#$%^&*word ... // Biller local port Port=5001 That should get you your zone running locally, and others should be able to connect externally. All you have to do now is forward ports, which I don't think is applicable to you as you're running a 56K (hehhehheh) connection. If you do need to port forward visit www.portforward.com and if you've got UTorrent there's a neat little feature on there to check if ports have been forwarded successfully. You only need to forward UDP ports for this. Peace.. Tired.. G'night.
  15. They're idiots. They're going to lose far more traffic by moving to nobody sites, than to stay on E-Bay - they will also be likely to lose more money by striking for such a long time. Out of the millions of people who actually use E-Bay, I don't think that this will effect them at all. After all, their video has only had 24K views, and in their first week have only received 700 e-mails - and as strikes go, especially strikes where the striker is losing money, it's hard to say how many people are going to actually be serious about this whole thing. Paypal problems are nothing new, and the money which you store in your Paypal accounts you should transfer to your official banking accounts ASAP - as Paypal doesn't have to abide by any banking laws as Paypal isn't actually a bank. I've heard of worse cases involving Paypal, and there are various anti-paypal websites around, none of which I can be bothered to find. Note*: They provide no evidence of E-Bays decline, e-commerce is still very strong worldwide, I think that this is just an over-exadurated video - like any protest video, and is designed to try and worry people. 17. I've spotted Currys (An electronics shop in England) using an intranet to display different prices to the internet. Unfortunately, they also usually post a disclaimer on their website stating that prices are liable to change - I tried complaining about a phone I was going to buy with no avail. Edit: Spelling

I'm also working on other playing types for the zone, my turf/powerball maps aren't quite finished yet, however I laid the foundations down for a CTF map today. CTF Map Preview: I've designed this to use the same kind of tiling method as the previous map. I'll also probably be going back to the drawing board for previous map, as a lot of factors caused people to whine, but a new map shouldn't take too long. - Also, the reason i'm making a ctf/powerball/flagging/turf map is because I intend to create a ?vote module for ASSS. I'm also going to include events and such in this module. - Lynx
  20. At a glance it definitely has some strong potential.
  21. 490K - That's pretty pathetic - I bet if you add "chat" and other social features of the game as keywords, you're bound to get a much larger Facebook audience. Try: Chat Game Online Free FreeGame OnlineGame Networking Play Asteroids ehrm... newb leet noob n00b 1337 How many are you allowed???

    Tileset Edits

Hey, I've been working on a new map for Dragonball Z. I have began working on a new tile-set, however I was wondering if anybody, (or specifically Aquarius ) could make some changes to the tile-set to make it look a little better. Right now I feel it's okay, however I know it could be better. Version One: Version Two: Removed the tiles which split into colour half way though - as these can be implemented better with LVZ(s) Added a shade of colour to the outer tiles, however, I believe this could look better. Possible Problems: It could be considered as too bright The colours don't go too well I think - however, I have little graphics experience Here is a preview of how I have used the tile-set: This is the map which I have been working on. I have designed it as a low-population map. There are a lot of bugs, and it is still very early in development, but if anybody has any opinions on this map, I'd appreciate it if you could share them with me. Map: lowpopv1.lvl - If you do not wish to download this file from the forum, it is currently up in SSCI Dragonball Z as the public map for testing. Regards, Lynx
  23. Meh, I only visit Facebook, here and I sometimes browse through the internet. Youtube may be a good place, however I can't imagine either Facebook or Youtube would be very cheap. The only other websites I regularly check are menshealth, which wouldn't be a very good place for an online game - and bbcnews24 - which I don't think has any advertisements. I feel this post was a waste of time.
