I think that the ship graphic doesn't work. Look at other - even very cheap t-shirts. They often have much better graphics on them, I think we'd be a lot better off portraying a message to the audience which we require - in order to do so we need to publish quite nerdy messages - let's face it - the majority of the people who play this game are in fact nerds, no matter how much you like to think you're not one.. You are.. Acceptance is the first stage.. So why not state a message which a nerd is obviously going to read, and probably research... I've seen loads of them kinda t-shirts that say short messages with a web URL on the back around London. I'm sure something like that will work, and if somebody (rootbear) does his research he can probably find a cheap manufacturer.

Eh, elaborate? You can still not be PC to your friends in the Office - just don't jump onto your desk and shout it to them via. megaphone. Then again I don't work in an office, so I guess I wouldn't know.

It wasn't the message "Kill Newbs" that I was trying to portray. I am trying to say that it will be a lot more effective selling a shirt which says "Kill Newbs" on the front with getcontinuum.com advertised on it - than selling a shirt with a poster picture on the front. People are a lot more likely to look at the "Kill Newbs" message and see the getcontinuum.com URL on the shirt - than if they saw a couple tiny screenshots of in-game action and a picture of space with a spaceship - and gather that it must be a game worth downloading..

Well - I'm going to guess that the bans won't be bound to any specific zone - so they will have to be Net bans. So, therefore, the forum Admins will have to execute Net bans to everybody who flames... :S My point is, net bans for flaming people on forums? Maybe that's a little too effective, possibly a better idea would be if all of the zone owners got together, and each time a player is added to forum ban - they can also be added to a zone silence via the bot. From what i've seen, nearly every SSC zone owner is partially active on these forums, so it would be just as effective to stop people from flaming. Either this, or something like this, so we're not adding to the already far to long net ban list.

Ugh. Seeing that makes me want to remove any affiliation I have with Subspace. Somebody get his alias so we can frame him for memory hacking and net-ban him for a year. Very fcking funny though.

I'd say it would probably be a lot better using something funny rather than something graphical, considering that it would be a !@#$%^&* of a lot harder to come up with a truely stunning t-shirt by wacking a picture on the front. I like the poster you've used, by keyword: Poster. - That's all it should be used for. I'd say you'd probably attract more people by plain text - saying KILL NEWBS - getcontinuum.com or something, I don't think anybody is going to stop at stare at your t-shirt to admire the screenshots, unless they know you.. but KILL NEWBS, that's preety easy to read when you p!@#$%^&* somebody by...

Ah, I thought I had latest, will do later.

I'd buy one of the pic wasn't so !@#$%^&* lame... Get somebody to make a better design, that just looks like a poster, which absolutely nobody would read, is stuck onto a T-Shirt... :S

Hey, i'm having a small problem, that when I make a new tile-set, I can load it into DCME and it seems to work fine - but when I close DCME and try to re-open it again it says "C:\...\NewTileSet.lvl may be corrupted. Do you wish to attempt recovering data?" - I click "Yes" and it will retrieve the tile locations, and what tiles were laid, but they will be blank. I can then re-load a tile-set over this, and it will seem to work find, but again corrupt when I save. It is also corrupted when I load it into the game. (Visit newtileset in SSCI Dragonball Z to see) - it seems to have some tiles, but the rest are static. I generally think that bettering yourself by therapeutic methods is bull!@#$%^&* - therapeutic methods should only be used when you actually have serious problems, and the amount of research that goes into the side effects of any kind of hypnosis or temporary means to fixing psychological problems is far too limited. It seems like you feel that you're not good enough. The best way, in my opinion of over coming this kind of thing is filling yourself with loads of confidence - and the way to do so is often an embarr!@#$%^&*ing and long course of making an !@#$%^&*hole out of yourself. I never really had problems with under confidence, but I have had friends who did have these kinds of problems. I made them read books on speed seduction, such as The Game by Neil Strauss - the methods are.. well.. You make an !@#$%^&*hole out of yourself on regular occasions, but the pro's of it are - that you're making an !@#$%^&*hole out of yourself to people you don't know - so if you don't think inside the box, it doesn't matter anyway. As for metabolic rates and such - there is good evidence out there that metabolism isn't a real thing - but has been confused with other things - but I won't go into that right now - but I don't see how such a thing like Metabolism, which is determined by your eating habits in general, can be altered by any kind of psychological treatment. I'm well into nutrition, and the most common factor I've seen when I've read about metabolism, is that you should eat as soon as you wake up, then eat every three hours - not starve yourself so your body doesn't go into starvation mode - and if you want a good boost on your metabolic rate, you should take a strong coffee in the morning or, something with caffeine. Psychological treatment to cure overweight issues, that's just laziness. Back onto the subject: Train your brain. Like Distort said, if you set an alarm clock at an absurd time, for a very impractical reason, you're training your brain to remember why you set that alarm clock. Look at that game on the Nintendo DS - Brain Training or what ever.. It sets out loads of activities, like "What did you eat for dinner today" - and will make you cite that a week later. I'm not saying go out and buy a NDS - then buy Brain Training, because I find that the majority of that game is just stupid tricks that make you think you're getting better memory - when you're just learning new things. In my opinion, which is unprofessional - I'd say you should just stick with Distorts advice. And then come up with new alterations of his advice, soon your memory will be a lot better as you've effectively trained your memory to be better.

Read into NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) - That's pretty much your answer. Most books on it are a very long monotonous read, but it does work, although a lot of people are very sceptical of it.

I fail to see the importance of this topic - it's pointless, as it's posts have shown.

Can we just talk about your non round pupils instead - I've never heard of that.. and it's way more interesting.. Oh yeah.. save the planet.. and such..

I'm good with most zone related things. I have been playing since late 1999 - and have been staff since late 2000 - with short breaks to play various other zones, where I sometimes staffed. I am currently the owner of SSCI Dragonball Z - and I've got experience in pretty much anything zone-related - apart from ASSS, which I know how to use and set-up, but I've not had the time to write a mod yet. Contact me in-game if you need anything, you can find me on the chat, or just leave me a message. I will try my best to help. - L Y N X

Lynx replied to jacob hunter!'s topic in General Discussion
No Order.. Pulp Fiction !@#$%^&* Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels GoodFellas Godfather 1&2 Matrix Sin City ... This is pointless.. I could go on for hours randomly.. I'm easily impressed I guess.. Some real !@#$%^&* movies are: The latest Rocky Lost in Translation (Even though somehow I watched all of it) Harry Potter.. Ugh... That stupid movie about Dragons.. - Eragon??? What a waste of my money.. Anything written by Nick Hornby - because there's never a !@#$%^&*ing ending..
