I like the idea of 3 dimensional movement but not the 3Dish fake look of zones such as Desert Storm the Infantry game. Everything is off perspective and nothing feels right. The flips and rolls idea first brought up on this topic are excellent ideas and it would also be nice if you could move on the z-axis but you would need to represent the ship as getting smaller and bigger or changing the shadow or w/e. I also agree that engines out there that already do 3D are way ahead of you. Most of you will graduate college and be into your main job long before you can penetrate the major obstacle of getting people to buy into your 3D system...let alone a community of designers to support it. Continuum obviously needs a lot of upgrades but what it seems like here is you guys are trying to build a rocket to do the job of a simple automobile.

Half the reason why no one will contribute anything more than their opinion is two fold: 1. You guys tend to favor !@#$%^&*ty looking stuff. No hard feelings but the HS shipset and that HYPERSPACE logo under the center say it all. Those two things you created D1 are just killing us. You're probably a decent programmer but an artist???? 2. Whenever someone DOES contribute something, you shoot it down (refer to reason 1 for explanation) and/or try to nerf your own version of it. I dunno - maybe I'm alone on this opinion, but I doubt it.

What a waste of my time. I guess we can determine that the people engaged in politics on this forum either too young or too ignorant to answer simple inquiries about the candidates they so adamantly defend. Truth revealed: it's all BS here and nothing more.

I've seen so much BS rambling in this forum that I dare to post this, but given that things are not clarified perhaps you can help me. I'd like to know what YOU know about each candidate's stance. I'm hesitant to do this because it will end up in a futile argument among people who claim that one candidate's stance is two different things, but here goes: RULES: ------------------------------ 1. Be Brief. DO NOT WRITE paragraphs of crap trying to support your view. Keep it short and simple. 2. Do not ATTACK other people's !@#$%^&*essment of a candidate's view. Point out facts to support your understanding. BE BRIEF. Candidate: ------------------------------ 1. How will they solve the oil/gas crisis and continuing inflation? 2. What is their answer for Iraq? 3. How will they affect and strengthen the US Dollar? 4. What will they do to lower the cost of healthcare? 5. What is the craziest idea you have heard from your candidate? There are surely more issues than these, but these are a starter. PLEASE BE BRIEF in responding to each question. Thanks.

Yeah ok here's what will happen. A couple people will get pissed at the way the new guys run the forum and this of course will leak back to you. When it does, you get all flustered and say you're back because of the problems. Then people will come to you again and they'll do this in attempt to override the ways that the new people run things causing a stir. You'll be back. If you really want to leave, kill ssforum, and people will just use MGBs forums.

the large oversized screens (+15) are making laptops more like walking around with a 1/2 thin-sized pc tower. too much. i'd still go with the latest addage: smaller is bigger when it comes to computers.

And of course they'll turn the cloverfield monster into a good guy and probably do a do!@#$%^&*entary with Sigourney Weaver called Cloverfields in the Mist - the story of telling the bad military not to shoot the nice large monster.

Yeah, but boycotting HS will not change anything. As Brain has mentioned many times, he doesn't care what people think - he'll do what he wants. For better understanding of this concept, live in America under the Bush administration.

I checked around with a few other folks all of whom didn't really know the legal rights of ss. However, I'm not the one endorsing use of the material which might or might not be covered under copyright law. It would be interesting to really know rather than having folks try to guess or validate why they should use the material. IF you do know for a fact, please state it; an opinion isn't needed.

Just wondering, are we in the ss community permitted to use those images for profit - I should say, are we permitted to use anything ss related for profit? As far as I know, someone does own the copyright to the subspace game and I'm not sure where Continuum fits in. Does anyone REALLY know?

Just wondering, did you look at the stats before starting to measure success as the campaign continues?
