  1. I get that issue a lot when using DCME as well. I have no clue what causes it, but it only affects walltiles.
  2. For me it's usually the opposite, 50% of my time is wasted making things work properly in Firefox while still remaining W3C & other compliant.
  3. Question: Why promote Subchat 2 in the links section when 17th doesn't even allow it to enter the zone?
  4. well it aint them who are gonna pay for the expenses obviously.
  5. Only took how many years? (but kudos on getting it done)
  6. Try via safe mode, like I mentioned earlier.
  7. Does the program install at all? Have you tried rebooting your computer? Have you tried reinstalling in a different folder? (somewhere other than Program Files) Do you have any anti-virus or firewall program running? Have you tried running the installer while in Safe Mode? Is Vista up-to-date? (i.e. nothings shows up in Windows Update)
  8. Since I know some people are curious as to what's happening with ASSS, and how long it will take before some bot features are rendered server-side and so on, here's the scoop: When we switched servers, a lot of modules had been untested in a live environment, which caused inevitable problems especially with differences between Windows and Linux. As a result, half of the functionality still remains bot-controlled (credits, buy, playerstats, events...), while the other half is server-controlled. I've been working on each of these modules trying to fix them, iron out the bugs, and get them in a usable state; progress is slow, but surely getting there. List: - Credits (there's a problem with the formula - fixed ish but not rly) - Buy (fixed & implemented) - Events (need more thorough testing, but I believe to have fixed the original crashing issue) - Fix MegaJP (I really have no clue wt? the module does)
  9. censorship'r'us
  10. pff I ain't voting every month, too much effort
  11. I remember seeing the one with the cheese on tv. But none of these strike me as overly disgusting, not that I'd eat any of them. I'm surprised they didn't mention eating monkey brains straight out of its head... alive. I also remember a weird tradition in one gold rush town where they'd put frostbitten toes in their alcohol (aka sourtoe cocktail). But anyway, there's a lot of weird stuff out there.
  12. A lot of the directory servers have gone back up recently (including sscentral.sscuservers.net), but make sure that your list is up to date. If you still can't download a new list, then your school's firewall is probably blocking it, and your best solution is to add zones manually using their Port numbers and IP addresses, which you can find at http://stats.trenchwars.org
  13. As previously mentioned, a blogging-oriented website would definitely benefit more from WordPress. If you're looking more for a userbase-oriented website, then Joomla and Drupal seem to be the better ones for managing that. But if you're looking for a more personalizable website, then I recommend MODx, since it provides more flexibility and control over customization.
  14. It doesn't happen to me at all when I'm connected from home. Though now that people have mentioned it, it happens here and then (to all websites hosted by TT) when I'm connected from university. Weird, but meh.
  15. Well someone did. I left it hidden so that someone with alias checking abilities could tell me who's the real Misty Dawn. I don't keep up with people's ssdrama lives, so I wouldn't know that lera/traced/misty are all the same person; but the *** in front of the other person's name makes it kind of an obvious spam account giveaway don't ya think? And seeing how it goes against #11 of forum policy, I don't understand why it wasn't dealt with before someone pulled off another Emblazon.
  16. There's nothing I can do at the moment except wait until an administrator logs on. I don't know why this user wasn't IP checked YESTERDAY and banned.
  17. No, the yellow icon appears because Hyperspace is not forwarding information to the following directory server: sscentral.sscuservers.net. As of January 22nd, all directory servers excluding PriitK's are offline.
  18. All I remember is that he wants all of the military trials to cease for the next 120 days so that he & his administration could evaluate how they would deal with the detainees, most likely in civilian courts (allowing them to be represented), and eventually shutting down Guantanamo Bay.
  19. >.> ... not worth the effort answering to that
  20. ORLY? -January 23, 2009 Zone != Server host
  21. Too bad Afghanistan isn't accessible from the sea.^
  22. Well, the game is old and PriitK has continually refused to fix many issues that occur with Continuum, so while the game may seem 'simple' in comparison to all sorts of modern games, it was primarily designed for Windows 98 with little improvements to the code since. [Edit: Sama beat me to this :>] Back to the point though, can you tell me what exactly isn't working? When you double click on the Continuum icon, does it open at all? If not, then does it appear in your Task Manager (aka Ctrl+Alt+Delete)? Do you get an error message when opening the game? If yes, is it just the zone names that are appearing in red? What folder did you install Continuum in? Have you tried installing it in an alternative folder (e.g. My Documents)? What platform are you running? (98, XP, Vista, 7?) If XP or Vista, are you an administrator? Or do you have administrative priviledges? Have you tried running the game in a different account (if you have multiple users on your system)? What Antivirus/Firewalls are you using? Have you tried disabling them? Have you tried adding Continuum to DEP's exception list?
  23. Because these "big important programs" are blocking Continuum. Either you put Continuum in their exceptions list, or disable them before loading the Continuum client (no one said that you had to uninstall them, just simply disable them by shutting down their programs before attempting to play). Should this not work, you might want to consider that something else (such as Windows DEP) is blocking Continuum from starting. For which case we have a whole lovely topic dedicated to it and many other potential issues: http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=13180
