  1. It's a subgame configuration question. Anyhow, with all the Ports erased, it's impossible to tell you exactly what the problem is. As Jabjabjab pointed out, your Directory IP is wrong. Your Directory Port should always remain 4991. Your ScoreID and ServerID need to be the same as [Misc] Port. (you currently have 0 for a scoreid, which is bad) You also have no ArenaMode... set it to 5. And for a final fix, change [billing] IP from 127.0.0.1 to localhost.
  2. y waste whole topic (in the wrong subforum & thread) for 2 letters...
  3. Don't blame your operating system. If you keep doing that, you'll never actually fix your problem. I've been running Vista without a hitch for years; if it's a graphics problem, then that's your graphics card's doing. 1. Are you running in windows mode or full screen? 2. Advanced Options -> Software Emulation 3. Advanced Options -> Avoid Page Flipping 4. Advanced Options -> No Framerate Limit 5. Options -> Graphics -> Color Depth (Set this to 32bit)

  5. How is this fact important at all? Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and IceWeasel all use Google as the default search engine, essentially granting it a monopoly, unless you change your options... If you're still using anything below IE7, then that's your problem. Might as well whine that Netscape 7 basically only allows the Netscape Search Engine. Honestly though, in all of the most recent version of these browsers, changing the search engine is merely two clicks away, I don't see it affecting much the general trend at all (heck, did anyone even use MSN/Live Search before it was rebranded as Bing?).
  6. Asia? Australia? It says Los Angeles, then Washington -_-; I'd be pretty confident to guess somewhere there in Cali. But yeah, #3, 4, and 5 indicate that the problem is local/your internet service provider.
  7. The display of the in-game stats is entirely client controlled, so there isn't much anyone can do about it, except Priit. Other clients such as Discretion could definitely add the feature, and/or allow the server to have much more control over the stats display in-game.
  8. Awesome to hear Bak, and yeah, I do look forward to it. Will the lag update improve on the choppiness of other player's ship movements? Or is the update mainly security?
  9. I'm curious to know when the chat bug will be fixed :/
  10. I absolutely loathe wearing formal clothes. The only time I was comfortable with wearing a tie & all was in Japan.
  11. I once heard of a group named SSDev... oh wait, they died.
  12. La St-Jean-Baptiste is duller than Canada Day; you're celebrating a saint and you don't even know it, throw some fireworks, rebrand it as a Quebec 'national' holiday and totally ruin the meaning of it.
  13. It kind of reminds me of that Mervbot plugin with missions in it. Just if you'd want to have multiple zones using the same database/web interface, make sure that the achievements are more zone-specific (since different settings give different advantages or disadvantages), perhaps with a few universal ones (i.e. cross-zone achievements*). * You could have like 6k kills in cummulative of all zones, or 1k kills per participating zone type of thing.
  14. What version of Continuum are you using? Make sure it's 0.40 After you download a zone off the directory list, make sure its name appears green in your list. You should be able to enter the zone and download without a problem, unless something such as a firewall is preventing your computer from downloading the necessary files. Have you tried other zones?
  15. same lol Way to failread. "Site under reconstruction, (if anyone cares)." Anyhow, the magical wonders of the Wayback Machine: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://allinjuan.com And to fill Diwa in on SubSpace II, it was supposed to be the next-generation SubSpace, except in 3D. But the images released were nothing more than a teaser. - There's now an actual project called SubSpace II (or Project SubSpace) which was started by Doc Flabby (you can check it out in another subforum). And yes, Juan did design that ship LC pointed out, though he admitted he didn't like the look, but moreso the concept.
  16. Post a trace (~50 cycles)
  17. This topic was split from: http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=447 Firstly, please don't bump 6 year old topics. Secondly, can you post more information about when it crashes? What message do you get? What operating system you use? What graphics card you have? What zone does it crash in? Are you playing in windowed mode or fullscreen? Are you playing on a laptop? etc. Every little bit helps.

  19. There's also a risk of turning off potential players because they try 2 different names which are used, then get locked out of the biller for several hours. No message that they're trying to access someone else's account, just that it's the wrong pass and they can no longer play.
  20. Lol typical from Trench Wars. Actually, most players take form in larger zones, with very few later migrating into smaller zones for various reasons of their own (there are over 24 zones connected to the SSC biller, you can't expect to remove all but 5~7 of them; that's not dealing with the problem, it's putting a bandaid on the symptoms). If you're unable to handle your own zone's issues, then that's your problem, and you should figure out ways to stop such issues from occuring in the first place. If small zones are to blame, why aren't the smaller zones the ones being attacked? Actually, according to MikeTheNose, Trench Wars has its own banG operator capable of performing network-wide bans. Why don't you contact him, or other operators?
  21. 1. Time's up.
  22. Well if you aren't going to criticize them, then I will. I've already mentioned in several other threads that the BanG ops do a very poor job at what they do, not to mention that they're rarely online if active much at all. I laugh at the excuse given for not allowing me to be able to ban users for more than 7 days within my own zone, being that my player name doesn't appear on the pub map. But it's unfortunately a problem that will doubtfully ever be resolved, as people in subspace enjoy lingering on to what little power they still have, rather than either getting active or passing the torch onto others.
  23. Love the animation, keep up the great work Diwa.
  24. Congrats Purge (even if you'll just be handing it over to someone else afterwards )
