Bug: When clicking on the Download button for any of the files, I get a blank page. Example: http://www.subspacedownloads.com/download.php?fid=1109

But mirroring them to the listed kinds of file hosting places would not only serve as a mirror, but expand the game's and community's ground and visibility. I don't think it would hurt anyone in any way if I did mirror them to those places. At the same time, it would serve as advertising the same way as if you went and told your friends about it, just in a different manner. If anything, it would only be gain. I am willing to go and do this based off of my own willingness and love for Subspace.

And I do apologize for that. I am not a perfect being and do not know all the right/proper ways to do things, even though I try to learn and improve. It is not my intent to offend or hurt anyone; nothing I did was meant to be personal in any way, shape or form. I don't want to "start my own little site." I simply want to mirror the files to places like FileFront, FilePlanet, FileShack, Multiplay.co.uk, ModDB, FilePlay, and any others I can find.

I honestly don't care what and who you are. Like I said: It isn't about me, and it isn't about you. It's about SubSpace and bringing in fresh blood and spreading the word about the game.

My purpose in asking you to help me in that specific way is not for my own gain, but for the game's and community's sake. Advertising is one way to spread the word about SubSpace/Continuum and bring in fresh blood, but there are other ways as well, such as mirroring all the files at SSDL (since that is the only place on the net with the greatest and best database of files, and it's only thanks to you Testtube that it even exists and opens the possibility to mirror) to places like FileFront and FilePlanet. If you want to hold back the files from making my task easier to help the community and game get fresh blood and expand its image, go ahead -- you can't stop me. Sooner or later your pride will get the best of you. There is no other person that I would contact, for any reason, but you for this request because you're the one with all the files! No one else! Either way, you won't succeed in making me fail (which would also be slap in the community's face and the game if you did make me fail). When there is a will, there is a way, and I am very much determined and confident that my will is far greater than yours to succeed in the expansion of this game and community. EDIT :: And I take no credit for what I do either. It isn't about me, and it isn't about you. It's about SubSpace and bringing in fresh blood and spreading the word about the game.

That's pretty selfish Testtube, not just to me, but the entire community. Why do you even bother maintaining and keeping SSDL alive if you just keep it to yourself?

I want to mirror SSDL's files to places like FileFront and FilePlanet, but TT won't give me access/ZIP file of the files directory for some reason. I have all the other resources I need to start mirroring it to places like this, all but the files; it would certainly make it easier if I had a copy of the entire files database (not MySQL, the actual files and directory tree structure) in a ZIP, than to manually go and do each one by one the hardest and rawest way. No, I just want the files, nothing more. I don't want to have to go through SSDL and manually download each file one by one.
  8. Nope. EDIT :: Wait, hold on. EDIT2 :: Yeah, those categories work. I was trying to upload for "Continuum" category, but that one doesn't have the permissions for members. Don't uploads have to be validated first before they go public?
  9. You "fixed" the button, but when I click on it it takes me to a page with the following error message:
  10. Can't upload to SSF without proper permissions. Says the button.
  11. BlueT is willing to host. Just send an e-mail to admin@hlrse.net.
  12. I'm interested.
  13. I maintain a custom installer at http://www.subdir.net/files/Continuum040Setup.exe and am willing to make "custom" versions of this for specific zones and whatnot. I tried to make it look as much like the original Contininuum040Setup.exe that PriitK released. Mine can be opened with WinRAR too. I just don't advertise this one because the address (subdir.net) doesn't carry on the same authenticity as would downloading from "subspace.net", "getcontinuum.com", or "subspacedownloads.com". It isn't very difficult at all to make those kinds of modifications (and include them preconfigured into Continuum).
  14. Wasn't me, and I would never do that because I understand the psychology behind this. You can't do it unless you are either very good or very skilled at acting and playing the role of an entirely different individual who didn't coincidentally register the day of the posting of that thread just to post a good testimony. I think you know what I mean. o.o I beg to differ. They'll obviously know that either me or related is registering new user accounts on their forum and posting counterfeit testimonials in attempt to bring people over. They'll associate things like this with scamming, referrals, annoying advertising, SPAM, and related negatives; this will just make Continuum look worse and instead of people even bothering to find out about it they'll realize what is going on first and then just close the thread and not look back.

I think SubSpace 2/II is fine. Nobody owns "SubSpace" any more. As long as the game/engine can be made professionally, maturely, decently, and live up to the name and VIE-quality, I think it would be and is perfectly acceptable. Although I must mention that if the minds of programmers/developers here about AS3 do not change and go into action (Edit part of Post #6 at https://forums.minegoboom.com/viewtopic.php?p=80396#80396), the game will not be very friendly or successful to the player and Subgame2 developers. For Subgame2, it is very easy to make and run a zone without ever having to look at or touch code at all. Subgame2 does a good job at trying to target players as little developers. Mmm, Subspace II...

  17. Does anyone have the Subicide files for that matter? I wouldn't mind hosting it. I used to play in Subicide for some time, under some alias I can no longer remember.
  18. colors.bm2 has dimensions 128x40. From what I have found, each line is associated with one thing in the game, and most of these "things" have 128 frames from which to animate. Here is what I have found so far about each line in this image file: 1. Controls background colors (animated) (from frame 1 to 128) 2. Controls most-inner border color of things like player box and radar (animated) (from frame 1 to 128) 3. Controls middle border color of things like player box and radar (animated) (from frame 1 to 128) 4. Controls most-outer border color of things like player box and radar (animated) (from frame 1 to 128) 5. Unknown 6. Unknown 7. Unknown 8. Unknown 9. Unknown 10. Unknown 11. Unknown 12. Unknown 13. Unknown 14. Unknown 15. Unknown 16. Unknown 17. Controls background color of player box (animated) (from 1 to 128) 18. Controls radar gridlines (very weird functionality, not animated, updates on ship/freq changes) 19. Controls color of walls on radar (weird functionality, not animated, updates on ship/freq/sometimes pressing ALT changes) 20. Controls color of safety zones on radar (weird functionality, not animated, updates on ship/freq changes) 21. Controls color of doors on radar (weird functionality, not animated, updates on ship/freq changes) 22. Probably controls the color of a player on radar that is carrying a flag or powerball (need confirmation and actual testing) 23. Unknown (probably something related to ally/team/friend) 24. Controls color of greens on radar (animated) (from 1 to 128) 25. Unknown (probably something of flashing nature) 26. Unknown (suspected to possible have something to do with the color of seeing bombs on radar -- does not work for mines, cannot confirm for visible bombs, need more testing) 27. Controls color of captured flags and powerballs on radar (animated) 28. Controls color of your ship in and on center of radar when you are carrying flags or a powerball (animated) 29. Controls color of your ship in and on center of radar when NOT carrying flags or a powerball (animated) 30. Controls color of your teammates on radar when NOT carrying flags or a powerball (animated) 31. Probably controls the color of your teammates on radar when they are carrying flags or a powerball (probably animated) (NEED CONFIRMATION) 32. Unknown (probably enemy units on radar carrying flags or a powerball) (NEED CONFIRMATION AND TESTING) 33. Unknown (probably has lots to do with the appearance of enemies on radar when they have a LOT of bounty to an extreme or something) (NEED CONFIRMATION AND TESTING) 34. Controls the color of enemy ships on radar that are stronger and have higher bounty on radar (animated) 35. Controls color of enemy ships on radar that are really weak or low on bounty (animated) 36. Unknown (probably has something to do with the color of an enemy on radar when spectating that enemy and is NOT carrying flags or a powerball) 37. Unknown 38. Unknown (probably has something to do with the color of an enemy on radar when spectating that enemy and is carrying flags or a powerball) 39. Unknown 40. Unknown gradient.bm2 functions similarly to colors.bm2. This image file controls the animation colors for the health bar. There are 14 frames per line, and 8 lines: 1. Normal blue colors when health is okay 2. Yellow flashing colors when health is cautionary 3. Red flashing colors when health is critical 4. Unknown 5. Unknown 6. Unknown 7. Unknown 8. Unknown
  19. lol, I don't even participate in TWDL stuff. I think I am registered, but that's years ago and I probably used a dud password.
