  1. Will fix this when I get home. Can't do it at school due to the lack of tools. EDIT :: Fixed. Had to work out a few kinks with TCAdmin.
  2. BlueT Dragonball Z went down with BlueT a couple weeks ago. I haven't gotten around to booting the zone back up since we've moved server (still have to transfer its files over). EDIT :: Done. BlueT Dragonball Z is now back up with Eternal Dragon. I just need to get Snrrrub to whitelist the server so that BlueT can connect to Isometry. Zone Name: BlueT Dragonball Z IP: 74.86.4.98 Port: 21000 Zone has everything.
  3. Why are you guys even planning to make a new biller when Snrrrub already made one that is better than current SSC and far more secure? This is unnecessary to go and remake a biller when Snrrrub's biller can do all this for you already, plus better.
  4. Snrrrub is working on Isometry and a new MERVBot-clone. He intends to get Subgame/AS3, Isometry, and this new MERVBot to communicate as natively as possible with each (like a triforce or one of those "trinity" things). He has already been able to hijack parts of Continuum without setting off the CRC alarm. Although I would like to know what Snrrrub thinks about this thread. D:
  5. That looks very good. What would it look like though if you had that purple up at the top fade to a starry/nebula-like atmosphere (maybe it doesn't have to have the nebula, but at least the stars?? How would it look?).
  6. Continuum sucks -- it's a client, not a game. Subspace is the game; name the portal after the game, not the client. After all, it is about the game, isn't it?
  7. AS3 is going to kill the game if it isn't made easy enough for newbies like me to use it as is to Subgame.
  8. Ok, I need some help finding some names and people. If you do not feel comfortable publicly posting names here, you can private message it to me. Everything private messaged is guaranteed to remain 100% confidential and only be revealed to the party that is inquiring me about this. Question is: So far I have Rak'kar and someone else (will not mention name). Rak'kar is a good pick, but I do not know if he will respond to the party's private message. If you can help me to help this inquiry to me, your help and advice is ultimately appreciated! EDIT :: OH! And I'm talking serious, professional-level/quality.
  9. /me launches Tor EDIT :: If anyone would like to know how to setup Tor the right way, I have a guide/tutorial that I wrote (with the help of some very experienced and knowledgeable buddies). You can use Tor to vote virtually an unlimited number of times by changing your 'identity' each time you vote. No point in not cheating, because as Sama mentioned, it would turn into a cheatfest -- and I say in conclusion of that, this competition would turn into a cheatfest no matter what using that philosophy. :]
  10. I am sure a lot of us have played MilleniumMan's 3D version of Subspace. It really isn't bad for a client, but the thing that gets us the most is the design. In that kind of 3D atmosphere, you are flying pretty linear in a 3D world, which produces a rather different effect than what a player would experience when playing the 2D version of Subspace, where you can fly in any single direction. So to fill in that missing "dimension gap" that makes that kind of 3D Subspace look bad, as in "getting boring very quickly" or simply not being as fun as the 2D version of Subspace, how about this: I remember that when I was playing Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner on one of the Extras missions, that this thought hit me -- this could be a great way to create a brand new Subspace. We wouldn't necessarily have to "copy" Konami/Zone of the Enders, but we could come up with ships that would appear as if they are logically capable of handling the kind of three-dimensional maneuvering that is possible in Zone of the Enders; it allows a player to move the same way as they do in the 2D version of Subspace, except in 3D! I can see a great potential for this idea, but it's really up to developers on whether or not they want to take it up. ;o EDIT :: To add more to that brief list of variables for upgradeables/weapons... * Plasma ball * Homing lasers * Mines * "Sniper" lasershot * Phalanx * * Plasma ball size <-- could require x amount of energy (metatron power) and x of other variables * Laser cannon Now to think outside the box, different orbital frame/vehicle designs could feature different ways and methods of attacking. For example, primary fire for a generic orbital frame might be the melee slashing with the blades, but for a totally different vehicle -- primary fire might be to jetson bursts of energy or fire non-homing/homing lasers. Gah, I lack at creativity -- but I know there are creative minds here that can contribute great ideas to this. EDIT2 :: As I mentioned to someone... The only reason the common ideas of 3D SS do not work is because those ideas do not properly account for the extra visual dimension. If you plug the right things in for that extra dimension, you could make the game just as good as its predecessor in 2D and potentially much better and more enjoyable. It's just a matter of finding those right "things" to plug in and account for the extra dimension. The current Subspace II project is pretty good. Nothing wrong with that. Yes, it is 3D, but not by playing perspective or maneuverability. I am talking about being able to move in all three axii, not just the two that we are accustomed to. EDIT3 :: Example and demonstration of Zone of the Ender: The 2nd Runner's "Ring Radar" can be found at http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/zoe-ringradar.mkv (30mb MKV Video).
  11. http://www.whoppersacrifice.com/ I have already sacrificed my 10 "friends," and still counting! >
  12. Only extremist Apple fanboys would go for that...and they would completely ignore the fact that they could type faster on a keyboard than using a round click wheel. What a stupid but unique idea. Then again, if you have little 3 year olds (literally) grow up on laptops like those, I bet with several years of young practice they could be rather competitive. D: But still, many problems with the idea.
  13. Before reading this thread: DOOOOOOOOOMED!! >:] *thinks about continental flood* After: Oh...hm...well... I already knew this was going to happen like 5 years ago at some point in time. Oh well, fortunately I live in the middle of the US. ;D
  14. SSCI is gone...forever... no this cant be THIS CANT BE! http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/sscishutdown.png
  15. EDIT :: v4.0 has just been released! You can find mirrors at http://www.hlrse.net/svencoop4.html or even more mirrors at http://www.svencoop.com/mirrors.php Just keep your eye on http://www.svencoop.com/. I am sponsoring 3 file mirrors, and managed to get the company I work for to sponsor 3 more mirrors; one of my webhosts is also sponsoring a mirror, etc. Sven Viking is going to be sending out the links to us (file hosts and mirrorers), which means that either within a few hours or from 4 to 12 hours v4.0 will be released. v4.0 is considered to be the biggest release ever produced by the team, and they've worked on this for like 3+ years. If you've played Sven Co-op before, know or heard about it, and like it -- install Half-Life and get ready!
  16. YES!! WOOHOO!!
  17. I beg to differ on the topic title. Between the three (Firefox, IE, and Opera) -- all three are equally bad. Java loads better in IE and Opera than does Firefox; Firefox is a piece of s**t when it comes to pages that are heavy in flash/java. Next to that, they're all a piece of s**t because they all try to set a standard of how pages are supposed to be rendered based on their own opinions and beliefs...rather than using a universal standard. It's one thing that can make webdesigning horrifyingly difficult. And I have found each of the three browsers better than each other in some way under different circumstances and situations. EDIT :: From experience, I have also found that using formal standards like XHTML do a worse job as far as being cross-browser compatible than would be older sites (or sites that still use this) using plain old, raw HTML coding....like the ones with tables and crap... For example - http://www.mce.k12tn.net/Indians/index.htm and http://www.mce.k12tn.net/Indians/navigatio...rican_chart.htm - these kinds are pretty much automatically cross-browser compatible with 0 rendering problems. But if you were to use a standard, such as XHTML+CSS, you can always expect to have some kind of problem coming your way.
  18. Um, well the Bible (God's Word, or essentially God) commands against homosexuality. It's quite simple. If you want to do research on this topic, Google for "Christian Homosexuality is wrong" or instead of "wrong" use the word "sin." A search along these lines should get you some sources that should provide some good scriptures about it. It's the scriptures you would want. Leviticus 20:13 "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." Looks to me like it's a King James Version scripture (I'm too lazy to grab my Bible and verify). There are other scriptures than just this. But it's really a matter of whether or not you/any person accepts the Bible as a foundation for moral and ethical standards (not necessarily religion/'religious' parts of it; a person doesn't have to 'get saved' if they just want to learn and gain wisdom through the Bible).
  19. Actually, you don't even need Steam to play the game singleplayer or through LAN. EDIT :: And by the way, there are such things as "Non-Steam" or "No-Steam" cracks, patches, and pirate-releases. That's how I played Episode 1, Episode 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portal.
  20. I can't remember any of the ones I used between 1998 and 1999. I played in Death Star Battle and Alpha (occasionally) though.
  21. Steam isn't too bad. Course you have to admit that every once in a while it will have its kinks (as all things do). I played through one of the campaigns yesterday -- it took me like 2 to 3 hours to get through it and I died once. D: There are like 4 different world areas to play from, and in each I /think/ there are 4+ different scenarios or paths you can choose -- you select this scenario at the beginning of the thing when the first map loads. But boy, this is quite an intense and fun game. From what I have read, the game only gets boring after a while if you play alone with bots, but if you play with a group of [human] friends in co-op, the fun in the game will last quite a long time. I would recommend Left 4 Dead.
  22. Left 4 Dead is available for PC too. O_o Is your computer not good enough to run it?
  23. I wish it weren't that expensive ($50), but I'm buying it as we speak. :\ I really want the game.
  24. So if you got it for free you'd play it? :]
