In time I'll advertise again. But I'm not really doing much, as I'll have to do it all again once 3.0 comes out (installing mods, updating skin, etc.). So nothing worth advertising just yet. But you guys can feel free to post, tell friends about posting and threads here, etc. The simplest advertisement is word of mouth. SSF was born from word of mouth (not in the literal sense, typing of course, but yea), and still lives by such.

Sadly... yes. I turned on its post count before I banned JDS and all. Was just curious how many posts he and X'terr had in there, and was then I found the threads. So sad as those stats are, they coulda been worse.

Well for the start, is just hoping those who still visit realize their posts and threads won't be hijacked or spammed by retards. Cause as I said, our traffic hasn't seen much of a drop, unlike our new posts and topics have. Lots of people visit everyday and don't post. People I know use to be some of our most active posters I see on daily in the "People who logged in today" section of the website. Yes, may also be they just don't care to post anymore, but 1 of them I pmed saying hi, said he couldn't believe the stupidity I've let SSF become.

Highlighted in both images are the last time this topic was brought up. That some people we're starting to get carried away with their bs, and I got quite a few pms complaining about it. But as before, it was decided nothing derastic was needed. Yeah. I found JDS's lovely Pot thread amongst 2 others. Both breaking both old and new rules, and I told him last time his ban was up, anything again and he was gone for good. X'terr said he was done with this place, so figured I'd help him with keeping away. Funny though that he got on every day and I ignored many complaints about his bs and he seems to claim he didn't do anything wrong... oh well.

Spam Lounge is gone, and X'terr and JDS are banned. If you feel the urge to post pointless crap noone is going to read... http://www.myspace.com or http://www.facebook.com would be good places to start. Or just create a blog at blogspot.com

I've posted them before somewhere, i'll find it in a bit, but we we're on an increase until a recent influx of some annoyances people have been constantly pming me and complaining about. Issue is the administration didn't think they we're worth banning. About the time I last brought it up, was the same time we began seeing a decrease in posting. Not user activity on visiting, that is still on a slight up trend, but just posting. No doubt they got tired of having their threads hijacked. I'll try to post some stats again later. Also I have talked to all of these people in the past about this bs. And they all seem to try and make it sound like they're the victim and promise they'll stop. But then nothing ever changes, so I give up on the 1 on 1. This time, taking care of them all in 1 big punch so maybe the idea gets through to them.

Due to popular demand and admin discussion, Bad Word Filter removed and Rule #2 updated. The plan is to eventually deem the removal of the spam lounge, as really, the shit I see in there anymore, ain't even worth wasting the server space. If spam takes over a topic, we'll just delete it, warn, and if need be, ban. That and/or continue as we have, close topics that go too far off course.

It was added for the time being to test it. Some people just get way too carried away with cursing and swearing around here. If it shows too much of annoyance, we'll just impliment a different rule and change things up.

Meh, it should fix itself now. seems a s s was on Loose not Exact so it just found a s s in any word and fixed it. All is good now though, posts should fix themselves in the next 20-30mins.

I've spent the past weeks looking at people getting away with crap I use to never let slide? Why? I've wanted to keep my forums alive and kicking, but the more I see it, the less I even want to come here and post. So I'm naming some names now, to give you a heads up your !@#$%^&* needs to stop. Rootbear, X'terr, JDS, Machu, and 2pac. This is your 1st and final. Not only will I ban from the forums, but if you go around the forum ban, say goodbye to the entire SSDL server. SSDownloads.com, SSForum.net, SSCentral.com, SShyperspace.net, MetalGearCTF.net, just to name a few. I'm not joking around with this !@#$%^&* anymore. I want to see these forums able to be used by any PLAYER without worry they'll be flamed, trashed, or have to dig through !@#$%^&* just to find a decent thread or post. I've threatened this before, but this time I have an admin team ready to support me and ready to act upon this. I'll ban entire Subnets if I must, and i'll begin monitoring our Proxy detector closer, and teach the admins and moderators how to use it fully. You guys brought this upon yourselves. Time to find another forum to spend all your time posting bs on. And trust me, you'll be banned from quite a few before you will, if you ever do.

I could say the same thing about those people who can't afford food. They knew what they we're getting into when they had the family they couldn't afford, or when they left their family far behind and had noone around to help them when !@#$%^&* turned bad. People know what they are getting into, but sometimes need help. It works both ways. Edit: Oh, and I didn't delete your post. So wrong person... though remember there are active duty mods and admins around here.

Yes and no. It is a messy situation as my buddy Kevin is stuck in it right now too. Stationed in Germany, and no way he could afford the ticket home. If they are deployed and go on R&R during that deployment, then yes. But if they are stationed there, and go on R&R, then no. And most of these guys are younger guys who barely make jack !@#$%^&* for what they give. Whats $5 for a guy who'd lay his life on the line to make sure you have a safe home.

I've donated to this for a few years (a forum I visit normally does a m!@#$%^&* donation together), but I think this year is more important than ever. As I know at my work we BARELY made 1million dollars in charitable donations, and they say they have done that without a sweat for almost 10yrs. People just don't have the money or feel they do to donate. But every dollar helps. So if you got any extra money sittin around this holiday and feel like you're in the giving spirit, http://www.lbeh.org/ is just one place I would recommend sending it. They help Military personnel who can't afford a trip home get there to see their family for the holidays.

One funny thing I found reading through I think it was Newsweek maybe, they polled a lot of people who disliked the US Government and how it was running things on certain subjects. They also asked in the same poll, how many actively voted, and it was only like 20%. If you don't take the time to vote, you have no reason to whine and !@#$%^&*.
