  1. Well it just sucks cause I work 40hrs+ a week at my main job, and then still work for my old job a few hrs a saturday (just so I'm not out spending tons of money while the g/f works) to make some extra cash to pay off credit cards, spend on ss projects, car projects, etc. I worked a few extra hrs doing some training, and figured I could give me g/f a great b-day, do the ssc stuff, and still have a few hundred left in my account to last me til next payday. But seems there we're other plans for my money I guess. I may do it with my next paycheck which may not be as much, but people have offered to donate some to help pay for the stuff, so eh.

  3. The issue is... VB and IPB have a lovely little user setting to ignore administrator e-mails. IPB you can ignore it, but if I remember right, VB didn't use to (granted we switched ~6ish years ago). But when I went to send SSF's news letter, not ignoring their setting for that, I was only going to send out like 500-600 when there is almost 5000 registered members. And most of those I noticed we're 0 post members. That and even once I did send them, had 1300 e-mail errors from bad e-mails people have. Just a heads up of some things to check before you put to much into the newsletter.
  4. So I had a little over an extra hundred dollars I was plannin to use to buy IP.Downloads and a few other upgrades for SSForum and a mod to connect SSCentral to SSForum, but some dumb bastards decided they needed to see if they could break into my car. I have a bright blue flashing LED you can see through the windshield and even the tinted windows alerting the alarm is on, and some bastard thought he could break my window and get into my car. Unknown to him professional tinting is a bit thicker and more durable than the do it yourself shit, and you've REALLY gotta hit the window to rip that stuff. So all they/he/her/whoever ended up doing is spider shattering my window (tint held it all together as 1 piece still), setting my alarm off, and running for dear life. Luckily I hadn't taken off my comprehensive coverage on my insurance like I planned to, so theft and vandilism damage is covered and I just pay a $100 deductible. And luckily they work with a local company directly to get the stuff done quickly, the glass is already ordered and will be installed tomorrow. But really, just killed my entire fucking week, and took the $100 I had planned to use for here amongst 1 personal purchase of a Halo Wars pre-order, and made me have to spend it on a new window. Seriously, if I find out who did it, or see anyone near it again, my steel baseball bat gets its 3rd "get the fuck away from my property" hit on someone. The 2 other dents look lonely anyways.

  7. Uh... chat clients are no different than the actual client...
  8. Turns out he did it with the chocolate chip idea at the bottom and it tasted better. Told him someone else said it was nasty, and knowing the shit he'll eat, still dunno.
  9. http://howto.wired.com/wiki/Make_Cake_in_a_Mug It actually looks pretty good too. Friend of mine just tried it and said it turned out great for him, hah.
  10. Since I've seen many people doing this in spam lounge and in game before... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics...n-Rickroll.html Kinda funny.
  11. and how do you know him? Edit: Sama, goto bed.
  12. Mmm if you can't find noone, I might be able to find time. Just don't drop it on me and expect it the next day, as Testtube can tell you, that never works.

  15. Just trying something different out for a few days. Most the projects have gone dormat and just sit on the frontpage loading as so. Most people just scroll down the forum and you see bunch of active forums, dead forums, bunch of active forums. I don't see it hindering them much, as this is how we use to have them organized. We just brought them to the front to give DCME more of a chance to be seen. And now it is the only actively used project forum at the moment.
  16. I have COD4, and to be honest, I like World at War a lot better.
  17. Probably have to say my favorite yet. Sadly the Nazi Zombies got me from behind my 1st solo run on the bonus level. Good times though. Found it really tough at times, and wasn't a breeze like most the other ones. Though I like the flame thrower, and a few of the sniper rounds a lot. Also the final battles for each campaign are a bitch at times.
  18. Holy crap.. just checked that game out... Top Gear on the SNES is based on it right? This video shows the intro, and it's the exact same music as Top Gear Edit: and has all the same songs as Top Gear, and the gameplay it looks a lot like it too That seems to be Turbo Challenge 2 though, not 3 holy crap, I remember that game, haha.
  19. Rockstar > Star > Random Names > PoLiX Still have the alias Star
  20. I was kind of thinkin bout this the other day when I blew the dust off my Quake2 cd, and thought about the days when I was in clan Se7en playing Q2 CTF more religiously than I ever have Subspace. Hell, I quit subspace for almost 2yrs just to solely play Q2. Man, the days of dialup, and waiting overnight to get CTF updates and new mods, haha. Subspace (1996ish) was probably the 1st computer game I ever played outside of Oregon Trail in like the 1st grade (1991ish). Was on my buddy's dad's computer, then I got my own and found Quake2 and that was the end of it. Man, good times good times. Kinda makes me wanna see if my old clan is even around still. What were your 1st computer games?
  21. Was flippin through and saw it is finally over... Lots of dead and injuries though... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27940231
  22. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27928718?GT1=43001 Was watchin this on TV. Wow they are getting ballsy and organized again.
  23. Thing was, when we sat down and discussed that forum you all seemed to "love" and want back... It had 4 topics posted in in the last month (at the time) and we're talking this was the END of the month when we we're looking at it. Only one had even been posted in in like 2 weeks. So really, just posting in general discussion is good enough.
  24. Meh. Just do what a friend of mine did when she was still living in Tennesee. She went in and asked for a prescription for the morning after pill cause her pharmacy wouldn't give her it without one (Funny enough my g/f just walked up, asked for it and got it here... meh.). He said he couldn't do that for her as it was morally wrong. She was like "You want morally wrong? How bout if I do get pregnant, in 3 months when I have them shove a pick in the fetus's head and swirl the brains all around and kill it, I bring it and leave it in your office on that coffee table for everyone to see." Because he thought it "even more wrong to have an abortion" after like 15mins of back and forth, he broke down and gave her the prescription.
  25. there we're a few, saying it was stupid and pointless, I remember that much.
