  2. I'm starting university next week, and I'm moving to Montreal this weekend... I won't even have a computer for a while, so you might not see me for a while in the zone... Dude! half the stuff on tht isnt in the server.ini cant u give me something simpler! i cant do it cause the [Misc] Port: and Defultlevelfile: aint there! in the server.ini it is (not server.cfg) oh, and do you need specific settings for you map? cause I don't know which zone you play, but maybe the ops there would be willing to up your map on their server in a private arena.
  6. actually, everything that has to do with the actual line can already be done with step and width... we'd only need dropdown options to choose the arrowhead type...
  7. im guessing the latest template should be with the latest subgame download now if you see a settings section called Spawn, with team0-3 spawn x/y coords/radius settings, it's probably the latest template... I don't think there were any more settings since then... [last modified August 30th 2003] ... ew...

Excel and notepad can be faster than CLT for placing a lot of LVZ's in a defined pattern... not necessarly "tiled", but for example, 50 lvz's at the same X, with a difference of 64 in Y... you write 2 of them in excel, drag them, copy, paste, bingo and i'd probably use CLT all the time if my computer was faster... but it is kinda slow for me so its a pain to place alot of lvz's with it... if there was a way to turn off the actual preview and just draw some kind of rectangle around the lvz's, i'd do that and im guessing it would be much faster. Cause I have like hundreds of animated lvz's in my map... been working on it for years because of the slowness of lvz placing oh, and we should be able to "snap" to something else than tiles.. all the lvz's i need to place need to have an offset of 8 pixels with the tiles, so I would like to be able to snap to 8 pixels, it would speed up my thing alot... consider this for the next update Bak or do that just for it would probably take you 5 minutes

  10. for .set files, you can use the ?setsettings command. I think it's ?setsettings settingsname.set , while settingsname.set is in your continuum folder or maybe just ?setsettings while a .set file with the same name as current arena is there... not sure about that one. OR you can use Facts to convert it to cfg, then *putfile
  11. death timer is in the standard settings... in misc.. somewhere... and ship reset.. not sure what you speak of... As far as i know , there is no such thing as "auxiliary settings that are not included in template.sss" , anyways, correct me if i'm wrong, but doesnt subgame reads from template.sss? .. it wouldnt make sense if there were "other" settings.

  17. Drake has made some new cool mapping tools... A new tool, the Custom Shape tool, can be used to draw n-sides polygons (any width, any angle), or to draw some preset shapes: so far we have a cogwheel shape and a star shape, both with all the adjustments you need... All these updates, and much more, should be available for download soon stay tuned

  20. I remember I got the job at some point in the league... I think I got promoted to mod not too long after doing that......... hmm.. memories...
  21. if , in average, there are 1000 players online at any given time... and in average, a player plays for... say 3 hours (which is probably too much) it would mean that ( 24 / 3 ) * 1000 = 8000 different players logged on that day wow... for an average play time of 2 hours, that would be 12000 players... hmm... but in these 1000 online players, there might be like... 50 bots... and 150 afk players... so... 8000 could be more realistic
  22. but your error isnt about msinet.. its about mscomctl.ocx... http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/mscomctl.zip if the link doesnt work, just google mscomctl.ocx and you'll find some place to download it place that file in your system32 folder and it should work... if not, try registering it the same way suggested above (changing the filename, of course)
  23. did you place it in system32 before registering it? or try using the full path: regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\MSINET.OCX
