  1. just found out DCME has like 20000 lines of code at the moment... eeeeeew
  2. points dont mean much in every zone either... but... emmm.. that sucks bad
  3. yeah i can do lots of things that would probably work better than that... but i didnt know exactly how so... bleh... but i'd like to know how to send directly to the command prompt and read what's coming out of it.. mhm
  4. problem is that i have to generate a .bat file ... so if there's a vbnewline or linefeed char in my string, it will make a new line in the .bat text file and screw up everything... i guess i could execute the commands directly, but the console window will probably close right after its done, which is not useful when you want to read the log or things like that
  5. Also note there are a couple of cool things you can do you might not think about: You can select multiple tiles at once (ex. from A to S) and press the first key of the serie.. it will assign all the following letters (or numbers) as well. You can navigate in the tileset with arrows, shift-arrows for selecting multiple tiles (which seems kind of buggy for some reason though), backspace, space, page up, page down, home, end... each of these keys allow you to navigate in the tileset ; you shouldnt have to touch your mouse once when you assign tiles to text You can assign different tiles to 'a' and 'A' , for example, but if you only have defined 'a' and you type 'A' in your map, the tile !@#$%^&*igned to 'a' will appear ; so you dont have to bother with case unless you specifically !@#$%^&*igned different tiles to lowercase / uppercase of that letter Thanks for reporting that bug... actually it seems only the preview is screwed up, because if you type text in your map, the correct tile was !@#$%^&*igned... fixed
  6. i write comments.. and i can write stuff larger than the comment box width... with the command-line Subversion program i can only write single-line comments though
  7. look at this interface... i could probably sell that for a couple of thousands dollars... $$$
  8. nothing.. it doesnt exist... you can't see it... IT IS NOT THERE... close your eyes if you still see it... it's probably just in your mind... hmm... *selects* *deletes*
  9. shut up i hate you all
  10. i doubt that would happen.. and if it does happen, it would have happened with the official version anyway ... and dont be surprised, when you type stuff with it, your radar gets filled with numbers... that was to help me debug stuff, dont bother , radar will get refreshed afterwards
  11. I don't get any feedback from these features... so I'm thinking that either noone knows about it, noone cares about it, noone uses it, or noone likes it... There are a couple of bugs in the tile editor that annoy me, mostly concerning copy / pasting. It uses windows clipboard so you can copy from DCME and paste in another program, and the opposite 'should' work too, but thats the bugged part... the selection size doesnt always adjust correctly so... Anyways, I just want to know what to do if I want it to be used more
  12. there are still a lot of bugs to fix so we cant make it an official release... but here's something for those who can't wait
  13. animations of the shipz hmm im sure someone could make a script to convert these animations to a 3d model... im sure its doable
  14. coming in a map editor near you
  15. I have found a way to update from / commit to the repository without tortoiseSVN, so I can now work on DCME when I want to I use the command-line based Subversion program... but I made myself some interface in VB to work with it easily.. so I have my "View changes" , "Checkout" and "Commit" buttons that generate and run custom .bat files for ez map editor editing
  16. yeah i was playing around with it yesterday... looked complicated as !@#$%^&* though... edit: I worked it out... i'll just make myself some handy shortcuts to redo the commands... edit: wee.. i made a program to generate the needed .bat files and execute the needed Subversion commands... it took me some time, but it will save me alot of time in the future edit2: yay, it works like a charm
  17. I cant help with dcme that much either these days... especially since there's only one place in the whole University from which I can work on it, and its complicated for me to commit changes on the repository after... (hm, I might install SVN on my usb memory stick.. now that I have one.. that might work) EDIT: no it doesnt work anyways, I'm pretty sure a Continuum-remake project could work, but it has to be very well organized ; OpenSVN with TortoiseSVN makes simultaneous devlopment much easier too good luck anyways
  18. we should have the email of everyone in 17th, and when its time to play an event, m!@#$%^&*-mail everyone actually that wouldnt be a bad idea... everyone who wants to be informed give their e-mail adress to upper-staff, and when something is being planned... send an email to everyone.. hmhm
  19. wha, I thought these pictures were from the VIE age... didn't know someone made these models with that much detail... edit: is there one for the shark?
  20. maybe the most players... but the most "Active" players, or the most players that would "Participate", or even the most players that would know about this convention because they use forum ; aren't in that area:
  21. thats weird... the last time we had this issue it was because of high resolutions... but that has been fixed... what resolution are you using? do you always have an offset, or just sometimes? if just sometimes, does it get fixed if you zoom out, then zoom in at the same place? its probably a very minor fix that is needed...but I dont have time to check this very much (and I dont think Drake has any more time either)... by the way drake, all the tiletext stuff i did isnt on the repo yet... I guess I should upload it sometime ...
  22. actually, in binary, 2004 would be what I said above; in BCD, it would be: 0010 0000 0000 0100 , which is closer to your thing... anyways... back on topic... School
