  3. LOL!!!! Good jokes... funny.. At the moment there's nothing of the sort.. we tried bringing something like this up a while back.. but as doc has said.. no one has had much time to do this.. got busy lives.. especially people working/school/relationships.. but as far as I can see.. this .. "6unZ" has no bragging rights.. and as a squad.. you shouldn't have to brag to promote yourselves.. it looks bad on the squad.. but then again.. I could care less about your pathetic squad so time to move on.. Actually, I didn't think his statement made any impression on his squad. It was a throw-away "we're the greatest"-type line, nothing more. Your little rant, on the other hand, appears far more arrogant and negative than his. Then again, most people with mental re!@#$%^&*ation don't try to be negative simply because they can't comprehend anything beyond "candy candy candy puppy candy candy kitty puppy candy".
  4. Indeed. Item spamming needs to be reduced somehow -- on ALL ships. The same setup can be applied to any other high-energy tank (see: Leviathan).
  5. Regular expression searching trumps all of the above methods -- especially when you know roughly what you're looking for, but there may be some discrepancies.
  6. @CP: The leaving center portion of my idea naturally prevents alien tech from working with that system, since you've already left center. @neb: The deprizing system that functions when you're in safe would balance it out.
  7. Better suggestion: Sell at 100% within x minutes of buying it as long as the user doesn't leave center. This would naturally rule out most alien tech and would still let people try out their items.
  8. Huh... Size: 217 MB (228,233,781 bytes)
  9. The lack of symmetry on the center box and the left box bugs me...
  10. But I'm not stuck in my parents' basement. Unless my parents have been living in my attic for a while now without telling me.
  11. Maybe that's not a terrible thing; have a limiter than the freq cannot contain more than 50% of the same ship. Would certainly force teams to be a bit more strategic... or not. Better yet, rather than a static limitation, make it x% per base so you don't have to worry about center players on pub freqs.
  12. No. I simply won't allow that one.
  13. And right when I was posting too... good timing. You should just setup a script to move ALL of the crap TRP posts into the wormhole. He's an attention/spam !@#$%^&*, much to the likes of attraction and grav. The difference here is he will claim to want to help whatever "community" he claims to be involved with, so long as that help is broadcast all over the known universe and he gets some kind of perk along with it. I do think the people who are "following" him from the Chaos/Prem forums are kinda lame, but there's good reason for it. For starters, TRP probably bragged about how he's "leaving" for a "better place" on their forums for a good week now, and felt the need to let everyone else know where he's going. Secondly, since he does this on a bi-weekly basis, they're probably trying to do the rest of us a service by warning us. Trust me on this one, TRP is a troll and should be dealt accordingly.
  14. Minutes. ZOMG DBE R U SURE??? HOW COULD I HAVE POssIBLY HAVE GOTTEN THAT TEH WRONG?? THANKZ 4 TEH CORRETION!!
  15. Days.
  16. True enough, but I only gave that to you. Yours is starting to pop up more now that people are getting it compiled, where mine is going to gather dust now that I've found the energy vortex scam to be useless. =)
  17. Yay! more people to kill for free money.
  18. I noticed that the inner-gates seem to have priority when it comes to checking if a player is in a region. I've no idea how it's coded, but I can make an educated guess based on how it functions. I've been told that there's a queue of sorts and it's been guessed that it's the first position packet the server sees... but I highly doubt one person simply sitting on the gate will constantly beat out 3+ players -- especially when those 3 players are firing weapons on the gate (which, for those who don't know, generates an additional position packet for each weapon fired). My suggestion is to either change the priorities (so players in HT can move into bases before people can move out), have the side with the most players have priority, or randomize the priority when both sides have players waiting.

You can't manipulate double barrel, bouncing bomb or emp bomb per weapon. It's a ship-specific stat, as the client is expected to know those details about every ship.

Ok then, so a bouncing flechette. Again, no thanks. It would become the defacto standard replacement for pulse laser (which may or may not be a good thing). I think there's enough bullets bouncing around at any given time. I can do without an additional pair of L2 bullets per ship. For your idea of one gun level per style idea, you'd need to use one of the guns as a baseline, then adjust the other guns so their total damage is the same. This would provide three balanced weapons with the only variation being firing speed and damage/sec. As soon as you stray away from this, you start getting guns that are overused and guns that only a newbie buys based on the name.

So a multifire pulse laser? No thanks. Personally, I'd like to see a reactor that either (a) actually improves both areas without effecting my mobility (aka quantum for a warbird) or ( a sublight that is designed specifically to balance out the penalty of toka/reso. I don't like not having 5/5 on my warbird =(
  22. You really need three different threads for this?
  23. Why not add an LVZ for AD status. Put it around where your FPS are displayed or by repels and such. You could either do the warcraft icon method where it dims and then a circular overlay displays roughly how long until it's active again, or you can do the progress bar method. In fact, there's quite a few things that could have LVZ displays that don't...
  24. The problem is invisible mines would have to be some server-side module or a client-side image change. The latter is easily defeated by overriding the zone's graphics and the former would require lots of the ~BR-Blah names.
  25. Wouldn't a flux capacitor fall under the whole "faster than light" category?
