I'm a tad confused on this... you're making a 3d version of a 2d map? Why do you feel you have to pay for this? I'm not a lawyer or anything, but I'm fairly certain this is a pretty clear example of a derivative work. This is even less of an issue if you don't intend on using the tileset. Secondly, if you're referring to SSCX Chaos/League zone, then no one there can rightfully claim ownership of ANY map currently in use. The individual structures have been recycled from maps all over SS, dating back ages. If the tileset is also considered part of the map you'd be purchasing, then it's even more of a cluster!@#$%^&*. Tilesets, much like the map, have been recycled and compiled into whatever works for the map. It's pretty rare to see anyone make a fresh tileset these days. !@#$%^&*, even some of MY tiles are in use in that zone. Honestly, this is a very noble thing for you to do and all, but you'll be hard-pressed to find anyone who can legally or ethically claim ownership of the maps used throughout most of this game.

It's more along the lines of a very dumbed-down AI. Kinda neat, but nothing special, really.

No more quantum on warbird? Jesus, why nerf a ship which is essentially cannon fodder? The one change I would love to see implemented instead of ship-specific limitations is equipment weight and ship affinity. That is, allow every ship to use any piece of equipment, but the ships themselves have weight limits and certain equipment functions better (or worse) on certain ships (IE: Bombs would be slightly more efficient on a levi and/or a warbird could carry a tacnuke, but would probably not have any extra weight for guns or reactors). But, that's a pretty drastic change to the zone, so whatever... Edit: Some things I've noticed since posting: - Warbird and Jav energy was reduced. - The disruptor is a tad overpowered. And by overpowered, I mean... wow. - Retro rockets no longer give booster speed (yay, no more pesky javs keeping up with me). ...yikes.

Indeed, and have a rather hefty turrent penalty. Turrets weren't an issue until MANTARAY demonstrated how semiwarp + lanc + spider * 3 = hyperdeath.

Turrets are getting less and less effective as people are buying more equipment to deal with them. When I started three days ago, you couldn't go near a turret. Now they're getting rushed and taken down with relative ease. It's only a matter of time before they're almost entirely ineffective.

It's a trivial addition, and anyone with access to the module could add it in under 5 minutes. You may be right about how often such a feature would be used, but you lose a lot of players to things like zone resets and biller issues -- especially in a zone where your progress is saved.
