Holy !@#$%^&*, I never noticed Keiver's fro before... That's uhh... That's umm... ... It's a fro! YAY FRO!
-
Maybe we could set aside days for the popular events. Maybe make wed. night Rabbit night where flags simply get disabled? That would eliminate confusion and aggravations such as this, correct?
-
I don't understand. Are you saying that there is an image which controls/seeds the ID destination? Or that someone created an image to show what it is?

- Create a text file named "obscene.txt" and put it in your continuum folder (with the continuum.exe, NOT a subfolder). - Add words to the text file that you want filtered. Any message containing these words will be completely filtered -- not just the word. Ex: !@#$%^&*o world An obscene.txt with the contents in the code block will filter out any messages containing the words "!@#$%^&*o" and/or "world".

Source? I'd like to add click-able URLs to this beast.

!@#$%^&*o, S!@#$%^&*. I don't believe we've met...
-
I know that -- !@#$%^&*, I believe we've even discussed it. However, since the change to where HT puts you, it's become more problematic; so much so that I feel that it's now becoming a staple in many team's playbooks. Because of this, I also feel it would be best if this were handled as soon as possible.
-
Mining HT gates, while annoying, isn't a severe problem in itself. The problem here is like you said: someone can counter the counter without nearly as much cost or effort as the original counter itself and with TW down, there is no other alternative (and !@#$%^&*, even WITH TW active, it's not much effort for someone with Antimatter or Space mines to cover 2 of the 3). Also, James: I hate you because you've been caught cheating, admit to thinking cheating is fun and even go as far as glorifying it. I don't "hate" zephoid or any of the other afore mentioned pussies who employ the most skill-less tactics possible, but I do find them to be very lazy and/or insecure players.

After witnessing the 9v2v1v1 game that just ended, it's become abundantly clear that randomization of the destinations for ID and the gates is necessary. You'd think that the team of 9 would simply wait out a relatively fair fight considering they grossly outnumber the other teams -- !@#$%^&*, even combined they still had them outnumbered by more than 2:1. However, the ONLY strategy they employed was to have Zephoid B dump a bunch of antimatter mines on the ID destination, while another jack!@#$%^&* mined the !@#$%^&* out of the gate. Since TW is out of commission, this left virtually no way into the base. Even in the unlikely event that you managed to follow another player through ID and time it so that they detonated the mines so you could get in safely (or had AD to get around it), you then had to deal with 4-9 players waiting to gun you down. Terrific. I'm not entirely sure how the teams got so uneven, but it's hardly the focus of this discussion. I will admit, however, that if the teams were even (say 9v9 or such) that the mines would not likely hold an entire team back, but would be a significant annoyance instead. In any event, it's clear that something needs to be done about it. Randomizing the point where ID points you would be a good solution. At the very least, it would allow people to byp!@#$%^&* the mined gate enough to "secure" it for an incoming teammate. I'm sure there are other solutions as well, but anything which allows a single player to essentially control entry to an entire base is asinine.

Look everyone, it's my girlfriend! LOLOLOL!!!!!11!!!!! http://hybrid.shanky.com/asians.jpg Seriously though, Attraction is a !@#$%^&*got.

Spiders with beam array aren't the end-all defense. You can use a few levi's with tacnuke or moab to take them out. Or, get this, if they can hit you with bullets... you can hit them! zomg!

Update: Now that I think about it, I'm not entirely sure if the first tileset (arctos2) was actually made by him or simply used in the map he made. If he didn't make it, feel free to correct me on that one. (I really wish these !@#$%^&*goty forums would let me view posts while being logged in so I could edit them directly).

Keep the ice tiles from the updated version, and possibly the red tiles, "stone" tiles and door tiles simply for the sake of tradition. Everything else, toss. The "caution" tiles don't look good in that arrangement. If you're going to include them, you only need two tiles: vertical and horizontal. Ideally, these would be used with other structuring tiles (preferably another set of gray tiles). Some tiles I've liked are some of my own and especially some of Arctos' http://hybrid.shanky.com/tilesets/arctos2.bmp One of Arctos' earlier tilesets. Originally used in T3 Witch Doom. http://hybrid.shanky.com/tilesets/arctos_Z.bmp A very flashy (and very red) update to the WD tileset. http://hybrid.shanky.com/tilesets/arctos_Zm.bmp The final update to the WD tilesets. Like the others, very versatile and very stylish. http://hybrid.shanky.com/tilesets/RavefireX.bmp One of my older tilesets. I never got around to completing it, but the gray tiles on the left have always been a staple of mine -- so naturally I'm a tad partial to them. I'd like to see some of these tiles get used in place of the more boring and/or ugly tiles on the current tilesets. If anyone decides to make use of Arctos' work, send him a message in-game to get his permission. I'm sure he won't mind, but still. In the unlikely event he says "no", I'll talk to him and see if I can convince him otherwise. -C

Go back to 4chan already, !@#$%^&*got.

Ok then... If you want to see how much I've killed you, do a quick search (ctrl+f) for whichever name(s) you use. Field kills are considered to be shared by the field owner. Last updated: 07.30.2007 Linkage: http://hybrid.shanky.com/misc/stats.txt God!@#$%^&*it they need to stop breaking these !@#$%^&*in forums.

Sorry CP, but I win... http://hybrid.shanky.com/photo/DSC00091.JPG Well... with my right arm anyway.

A quick recap for those who don't want to read the other thread or chat log: 1) She's leaning away. 2) Her smile is forced. -- a) Notice the muscles around her eyes haven't contracted -- Even with her forced smile, she almost looks like she's frowning. 3) She's not making contact with her arm behind our little liar nerd. 4) She's wearing a badge -- probably required for her uniform. 5) There's a strong possibility she doesn't even speak English. I can't imagine her understanding anything aside from you pointing at a camera and possibly the word "picture." Christ, attraction. Why are you willing to post this again in a forum you KNOW I read? Are you really looking forward to this kind of punishment?

Just a random FYI for anyone who cares: James is part of the circle who enjoys busting out Cheat Engine because they believe it's "skillful" and "fun". It can be safely !@#$%^&*umed his pal is netbanned for exactly this reason. As doc stated above: Not a good addition to the community.

@dot: They could implement auto-balancing methods to solve that. Masa suggested one where once the module decides a balance is needed, the next player(s) to die are switched. @death: So? Let private freqs have a static limit of something relatively low (like 7-10 max), but the public freqs having no limit other than the auto-balancer. You could even take it a step further and force private freqs to always be less than the size of the largest public freq (but still never larger than the proposed maximum). When "balancing" is needed for private freqs, simply spec the next player(s) to die.

The jcnlib downloads are below. Due to the various limitations of posting files on a forum, I will only post the most recent version. Previous versions are archived and available upon request. Which download is right for me? The jcnlib release package contains everything you need to get started: Java 6 compatible binaries, source, api documentation and the SampleBot tutorial. The jcnlib source package only contains the source. Recommended for advanced users only. Downloads Downloads have moved to http://www.cericlabs...projects/jcnlib

Can I get a forum under the "Development" heading for my jcnlib project? I'm too lazy to write any formal do!@#$%^&*entation and most users are too lazy to read it, so I figure this would work out a little better.

What brings you to that conclusion?

Can it be changed so the hub is where the engine failure occurs and the flags are then respawned in center?
