  1. Oooooh, MiS is back. Long live Three Clowns If any of you happen to run across the other squads' captains, let them know about this topic
  2. That's the spirit. Now, where are the existing squad captains..
  3. Ok it's about that time we start gearing up for a new 4v4 season. The season format will be similar to last season, with or without draft squads. The start date is around January sometime. I'll post the S30 stats eventually, if I can get them from the HD of my currently dead computer. EDIT: The start date is February 12th so we don't have to have any bitching about the Superbowl I can probably confirm Nguyens as returning under the Outlaws name. Also StarFire Elite is pretty likely to stick around. Returning: Rebels StarFire Elite FTNguyen - this used to be Nguyens Assassins - as confirmed by Mop, not arctos ;P Sterling - a ?message from mAImER Llamas - confirmed by SF Joining: MiS, short for Made in Scandinavia - Arctos, Candyman Renegade - Axe Demento Not Returning: The Dark - based on Motorzep's and Monkk's comments during or around the final series. !norating Waiting for reply: Llamas - SF still polling his teammates, but I suspect they will return. Total: 8
  4. Newbie bashing is rampant in other games as well. I've been playing League of Legends for... I dunno, about 6 weeks? now, the game is only two years old and has what 32 million players. Granted I'm stuck on the worst realm possible, EUNA with the polish/russian people who really cannot communicate in English at all, but still. Given the games happen too fast and with random people so you can't work on a newbie even if you try, you will just get a new newbie the next game, people go around yelling at newbies, while in fact they are the ones that screw up. In SVS settings though, the skill gap is insane. Possibly comparable to playing 5 random newbies vs. a team of 5 in counter-strike, or matching up people who have to read tooltips to find out where their units fire (Dre) in starcraft vs. random koreans who know every stat of every unit
  5. PRO Finals will be between Team KN and Sterling AML Finals will be between team maimer and !norating Both series start at 3pm. Games 2 and 3 are scheduled for 4 and 5pm. They will be player either on the hour, or after a short break after the first game has ended based on what the squads want. The season will be over after this weekend. I'll be looking to get a new season going sometime in January. The Semi-Finals: Sterling beat Nguyens 5-4, 1 second into the overtime, after some amazing (really lucky and totally random) saving Tool in a box while bricked play. Slow game, tightly played apart from a few randomly suicided kills both ways. Sterling were lobbing multi around and running away with rockets, much like they always whine about other squads doing Team KN beat Assassins 8-7, the game was a bit faster than Sterling vs. Nguyens, and the kills were more random. Also develop insists he had anti-warp on when KinGNGuyen laid a portal, warped to it, and killed him. The Dark no-showed vs. !norating team maimer casually eased Die Antwoord, which was to be expected since Candyman played.
  6. I don't know if people even mention subspace when they play other games now and eventually someone asks them what else they play. They kind of maybe should, though. Especially if they are in a clan/squad/team/whatever group that could just try it amongst themselves.
  7. Even sadder than what you said, Trauma, is the fact that this list is the only place where you see the old names. You don't really see them under spaceships, flying around pewpewing ;(
  8. So we're into semi-finals for the season. It's also time to think about the next, let your captain or whoever know if you're planning to be active and all. We'll have christmas and new years totally off (and be done with league by then) so we'll get back to setting up a new season, in whatever format it will be, sometime in January. The quarter-final games: 12/4 3:31 pm Sterling def Llamas 12-2 log 12/4 2:41 pm Team KN def Rebels 12-9 log 12/4 2:34 pm team maimer def StarFire Elite 12-4 log Sterling coasted into playoffs again, Rage showed up (theoretically 5th, but no one knows id Kdak's lag allows him to stay or not) and Llamas' teamwork wasn't where it should be. Sterling finished the game 12-2, while Llamas wasted 12 repels. Team KN knocked out Rebels in a much closer game. By 3-3 Hachiko was on his last life. Shortly after Apollo Creed was subbed by KingNguyen while inca was later subbed by Kentasaurus, who between 20:00 and 24:00 used all his lives. Good one, kent In AML, team maimer had 4 people show up and beat SFE 12-4. Sath went 5-1 and 5FR and probably thinks he is super awesome now Schedule for semis -- if the games have OT, the 4pm games will be delayed accordingly. 3pm: AML: Die Antwoord vs. Team Maimer -- 103856 PRO: Assassins vs. Team KN -- 103857 4pm: PRO: Nguyens vs. Sterling -- 103858 AML: !norating vs. The Dark -- 103859 Oh. Although the game was pretty sloppy. 7th whored up FR with 6 and got 4-1 for K/D too. KN got 4-1, 5FR. Sterling managed to coast into playoffs once again. In Assassins vs. Llamas, Sika showed up after a few pracs and ended up 4-2 7FR. Team KN eventually beat Die Antwoord (it was all going to smooth until Candyman subbed in). Team KN makes pro, Antwoord makes AML, and with the 5-6 makes my life easier not having to do the tie breaker math. Rebels showed some fighting spirit when they went down 3v4 but came back to win against team maimer. Then there was a no-show, and a BYE. Huge stats posts coming up eventually, when I get all the stats to a pretty format from a crappy notepad version. You can of course see pilot stats with !leaguetop Now for the schedule, AML with 5 will be all kinds of retarded. To make it 4 squads by round 2, only one game should be played. In pro with 6, things are more simple. #1 and #2 BYE, while #3 plays #6 and #4 play #5. Nguyens get to pick a match from which they want their opponents for the semi-finals. Default is winner of Llamas vs. Sterling. There's no match for Die Antwoord to pick so they have to settle for picking from either the winner of team maimer vs. SFE or one of the other squads. The default pick is winner of the match (lowest seeds). !norating inches past The Dark by a h2h win. BYEs assigned from the top means 3pm: team maimer vs. StarFire Elite -- the only AML quarter finals game. Best of 1. Team KN vs. Rebels 4pm: Sterling vs. Llamas If people want to, we can do semis as best of 3 still (the next round). But all necessary games will be have to be played in one weekend, starting at 3pm.

Assassins had the official BYE after a few rounds of bad games. Team maimer forfeit (they had 2 but no-showed anyways) against Team KN. Die Antwoord beat Sterling's 3 players 12-4. Rebels beat StarFire Elite 12-4 !norating beat The Dark's 3 players 12-2. Schedule for the 27th, which I believe is Thanksgiving. If we play the next four weekends with all best of 3 final games on the 18th, we'll be done before christmas. Then we can see if anyone is looking to play more 4v4, and if so, in what format etc. for 2012. 3pm: !norating vs. BYE Round -- 103765 Rebels vs. Team Maimer -- 103766 Team KN vs. Die Antwoord -- 103767 4pm: Assassins vs. Llamas -- 103768 Nguyens vs. Sterling -- 103794 The Dark vs. StarFire Elite -- 103770 Die Antwoord and Rebels seem to be the squads competing for the last PRO playoff spot. in case they end with the same W/L, Rebels gets it if The Dark also makes the same W/L. Die Antwoord will get it if only Rebels and Die Antwoord finish 6-5 or 5-6 both.
  11. What warn status? Everyone is on a constant warn since everyone has been told not to be an asshole once a year, every year, for fifteen years. You've been known to do some... questionable things, maybe you were too drunk to notice but the banstick doesn't care.

It is worth noting that Da Monkk (now Da Monkk1 or something until someone returns his name to him) lagged out three times just after using The Dark's only sub on a slot other than himself, and even did that without !fullsub Llamas got +12 from BYE round Sterling beat Rebels 12-7 and improved their position in the playoff race. 6-5 should be enough, and now they have at least one HtH win from the group that might end 6-5. Die Antwoord struggled against SFE, but came out on top 12-7. And !norating !no-showed vs. team maimer Schedule -- we'll be counting on Simon's server the next two weekends. So there's a chance you have thanksgiving off. 13. Hello I'd like to remind you all, including misters Mindriot and Sath. Cheating in 4v4 pracs is not really tolerated. My watchful eye sometimes needs sleep too, it's true. But when I constantly have ?messages about a certain person doing this and that and I end up reading the practice game log and everyone is steaming, I have to do something. CFK will take a three day leave for being bricked in a box and spamming out. Stupid things in pracs that might result in this include but are not limited to; Actions after dying out, such as repelling. !kicking people from your team to achieve something stupid. Doing it to end a prac someone is running to is still kind of dumb, but unless you constantly start doing it after dying out fast, won't be punishable.

Nguyens will add zztop, probably with that name but I have to check this. 7 The Dark 4-4 1 8 Die Antwoord 3-5 -13 9 team maimer 2-6 -38 10 !norating 2-6 -49 11 StarFire Elite 1-7 -41 12 Mineshack 0-3 -22 13 BYE Round 0-4 -36 Nguyens played Die Antwoord, in a spectacular comeback after a few rounds of not showing up Candyman returned and Die Antwoord of course proceeded to lose 12-7. Other than that, Antwoord had three Assassins in. Both KN and TVB finished 4-2, realdeal ended up 2-1, 4AS 4 FR and 2k short of TVB's damage with way less toys used. Team KN played BYE Round. Assassins had 4 people against Team Maimer, who didn't really have a team in at any point. 12-1, PewPew got the kill. Llamas played The Dark, and won 12-4. SF whored up the stats, 6-1 with 5FR and 3AS. The Dark wasted 14 repels between 4 people. Sterling beat SFE 12-7, apparantly NINE using F3s and pb thors was super effective against the wild SFE players. 5-1, 4FR. Rebels improved their K/D by +10 in their 12-2 win over !norating. This moves them above The dark in the K/D based standings; playoff standings are different though. Judging by the stats Rebels just outplayed !norating as a team, since Rebels' FR numbers are all between 0 and 3. 3pm: Die Antwoord vs. StarFire Elite -- 103697 Nguyens vs. Team KN -- 103698 Sterling vs. Rebels -- 103699 4pm: Team Maimer vs. !norating -- 103700 Assassins vs. The Dark -- 103701 Llamas vs. BYE Round -- 103702
  15. No... Assassins and Team Maimer won't play two games either. Fixed OP.
  16. Oh yes forgot to mention, due to the bot situation... The !standings and !schedule will be wrong in bots other than the one in 4v4a for now. The one in 4v4a knows !standings, doesn't quite know !schedule yet.

Still did not add in the missing kills from Mineshack 12-0s. Nguyens had a BYE. Team KN defeat SFE 12-0. Hoarmurath got the most FR with 8. SFE got 2 FR total. Assassins and Rebels played a pretty standard 12-7, Masterlord only got 5 FR in that one. Saiyan got 8, though. Llamas steamrolled team maimer 12-2, 11th was out in 12:01 with a hefty 5 WR. Either he was trying to get team maimer out of pro playoffs, or as he claims, was watching football. And Sterling barely beat !norating 12-0, with !norating no-showing. 3pm: Rebels vs. !norating Assassins vs. Team Maimer Team KN vs. BYE Round 4pm: Llamas vs. The Dark Nguyens vs. Die Antwoord Sterling vs. StarFire Elite
  18. Well, round 7 has now been postponed twice. This sucks for league, for many reasons. We'll try again this weekend (yes, I know it's halloween, yes I know DST ends in Finland so if we do have bots I'll call games at the wrong time) The short list of reasons why games cannot be played on the temp bots you sometimes see: 1) We cannot properly have them check rosters -> Partsi could !sub 2) We cannot get them to use match rules -> Subs would work like they do in pracs, time would be 30 minutes, etc. Now, I know hallu has been keeping an eye on options on hosting, but we'll see. In the meanwhile, happy halloween to those of you who celebrate it, and I hope to see you in 4v4 ships.

Da Monkk also felt like throwing us a bone and lagged his first ship to all zeros. Caerbannog (hey that's me) stole that stats 4-1 3FR, +20, superclutch useless nail in the coffin rep assisted kill on blink. TVB almost got to 100k damage (95k). Rebels beat Llamas 12-7, cfl lagged out three times, Perceptor lagged out once and was subbed once or so. The stats are rather evenly spread, Uni did get 6FR. Kdak's lagged wireless lead Stearling into a convincing loss vs. Assassins. Kdak's euro-screenview of guessing what's going to happen next got him 0-3 with 4WR in 12:22. Mop finished 5-1 and 5FR and probably played for more than 15 minutes for the first time this season. Die Antwoord continued on their Candymanless winning streak in a draft v draft game vs. Team Maimer. Arctos was 0-3 in 10 mins, some time after that Barbarian subbed in and Die Antwoord started their comeback, all in all, loose sloppy play as is to be expected. Very different from the other match I was involved on this day, although I only saw the 3v3 end of this game. Team KN beat !norating, resulting in interesting rants by PP for the following 3 hours. Hoarmurath played for 11 minutes, but got all of his 3 kills within 45 seconds. Including killing el father twice (OUT!) by 5-1 total. Always Mind ended up with 4-0 2FR. Round 7 schedule, the games are really starting to count in getting a pro playoffs spot now. 4 squads at 3-3 at the moment, with lots of 3pm: Llamas vs. Team Maimer -- 103330 The Dark vs. Die Antwoord-- 103331 Team KN vs. StarFire Elite-- 103332 4pm: Sterling vs. !norating-- 103333 Assassins vs. Rebels-- 103334 Nguyens vs. BYE Round-- 103335

He did lob a random kill though (I dodged one bomb and hit one, but 7th? hit that one and the damage was enough to get me ). 7th also MVPd it with 4-1, 3AS 5FR. Rebels defeated The Dark in a game that could end up being important for PRO playoffs. Captor 1/2 in under 8, subbed at 14:51 and Legacy then 0-1 on that slot in 5:36 with 3,7k done 16k taken. I did not see what was going on in the game in general. Looks like Rebels used 3wb/weasel. Dagger whored up 8FR with 3-2, Actress got 7 FR. ML stole the MVP. Meanwhile Llamas defeated Sterling, also could mean something in the end. Sterling probably didn't anticipate this, Kdak was actually playing for his draft team, team KN, during this match. Pension went 5-1 on Llamas (this is with 0 solo kills). Uni picked up 4 AS, and Aramen got 6 FR. Between the lot of them, Sterling wasted 10 repels using 5 players. StarFire Elite looked like they could steal a win from !norating, being up 8-5 4v4 at 26:46. But then Something Dutch (I suppose he over-extended to go for a KO) died twice (more) by 28:05, making the game 4v3 for !norating. They managed not to explode to make it 3v3, but rather picked off MFa, Mauler, Jones. MfA stands out with 5-2 KD and 14 mines. Dethknel finished 5-2 6FR for !norating. Team KN defeated Assassins, as mentioned before, Kdak chose to play here rather than Llamas vs. Sterling. He finished 3-2 5 FR, Assassins only managed 4 kill, 2 by develop and 2 by ossi. Develop got his two kills in 15:17. Ossi played near full time (and by spectator comments ate up some nice piles of bullets and bombs). Team KN wasted a total of 3 repels. Assassins wasted 11 repels. That's about enough to lose most games. 3pm: Team Maimer vs. Die Antwoord -- 103101 Team KN vs. !norating -- 103102 SFE vs. BYE Round -- 103103 4pm: Sterling vs. Assassins -- 103104 Llamas vs. Rebels -- 103105 Nguyens vs. The Dark -- 103106
  22. Don't rule it out. Teaming is both natural and impossible to judge. The way MoC is supposed to work is 1) weaker pilots teaming up on the pilots they cannot defeat themselves 2) backstabbing a weakling to progress to the next round if the target is not exploding. I'd like to see revenge-teaming, but I don't think people care enough, even if as single players they whine about the teaming. And there's been a written understanding of killing both Gadianton and Abbreviator out of MoC as soon as possible by all 4v4 players for a while now, just to let them know how much we all appreciate their playstyle that is killing chaos pub during the weeks

Realdeal got 7-1 4FR, leftyloosey subbed in and was out with 0-2 in under 3 minutes. If you look at the !game it will say I have a kill with 0 damage dealth, that's a bot but. I think all damage on PP was not counted. The Dark spread their kills 4/4/3/1, but DD with 1 also got 6 assists and 6 FR. Team Maimer apparently didn't have the best start to the game, courtesy of pseudo with 0-2 in 5:11 and 0-3 in 7:53. SFE lost 12-1, in a game where Saiyan racked up three kills in 3:43 to kick things off. The game was over in under 11 minutes. Die Antwoord picked up their first win, yay. Rebels played pretty sloppy, but at least they did not kill our AFK player at the start. Llamas got their first loss, because Dequadin decided to go 6-0 with 7 FR after a 6 year break from league. I guess the other players on Team KN had something to do with it too. Sterling had a tough fight with BYE round, barely winning 12-0. IF YOU WOULD PREFER BEST OF THREE FOR ALL PLAYOFF ROUNDS, NOW WOULD BE A GOOD TIME TO POINT IT OUT. =) 3pm: !norating vs. StarFire Elite -- 102927 Assassins vs. Team KN -- 102928 Sterling vs. Llamas -- 102929 4pm: Die Antwoord vs. BYE Round -- 102390 The Dark vs. Rebels -- 102391 Nguyens vs. Team Maimer -- 102392
  25. Standings after Round 3 -- without added K/D for the squads that beat Mineshack: 1 Llamas 3-0 22 2 Nguyens 3-0 15 3 Sterling 2-1 17 4 Assassins 2-1 11 5 Team KN 2-1 5 6 The Dark 2-1 4 7 team maimer 2-1 3 8 Rebels 1-2 -4 9 !norating 1-2 -11 10 Die Antwoord 0-3 -19 11 StarFire Elite 0-3 -21 12 Mineshack 0-3 -22 9/18 3:43 pm Rebels def Mineshack 12-4 log 9/18 3:33 pm Llamas def StarFire Elite 12-3 log 9/18 3:33 pm Team KN def The Dark 12-5 log 9/18 2:58 pm Nguyens def Assassins 12-6 log 9/18 2:52 pm !norating def Die Antwoord 12-8 log 9/18 2:12 pm Sterling def team maimer 12-0 log Riverside ended up 6-0 with 5 FR vs. the now dissolved Mineshack. cfl got 2-0 K/D with 8 FR, 3 ass and a DD/DT of 28k/34k, which statistically looks wrong. Uni racked up the kills with 5-1. SFE looked like they panicked a bit, and Something Dutch wasted 4 repels alone. Team KN defeated a decent line-up from The Dark. Develop (as i n c a .) got 5-1 and 8FR. The 1570 eRating average each line-up Nguyens vs. Assassins was close until Dingo's subbed in javelin blew up somewhere near 29 minutes. KNeWWiN of course stole all the stats, going 5-2 and 8FR. It was a pretty decent game from both teams, although very sloppy at times. !norating picked up a win vs. Die Antwoord, the stats are spread rather evenly. Lefty has 4as 6fr with his 3 kills. The people on Sterling chose to show up with their names from Sterling roster, to defeat their no-showing selves 12-0. Mineshack imploded sooner than anticipated, and with a smaller bang. (I imagined it would've been Three vs. Candyman on the squad's playstyle that does it). They weren't happy with their activity level, or how their zero pracs have not made them improve (0-3 season), so they announced they would be dissolving. What this means is we now have a BYE slot instead of Mineshack. The squads that already played Mineshack will get enough kills added to their record to give them the same 12 kill margin before I run the playoff standings. Apart from the people you can see via !roster Mineshack, Damnatus is also a free agent now. 3pm: Llamas vs. Team KN -- 102643 Rebels vs. Die Antwoord -- 102644 Sterling vs. BYE Round -- 102645 4pm: Nguyens vs. !norating -- 102646 Assassins vs. StarFire Elite -- 102647 The Dark vs. Team Maimer -- 102648 Sterling does not have to show up, BYE Round always loses 0-12
