  1. Koth appears on the radar too, which may be undesirable. I don't think that there's a way to turn that off.
  2. Jareth was kind enough to post a copy, and so I've put chatnut back on http://sshyperspace.net/

    Chatnut

    Thanks. Uploaded to http://sshyperspace.net/
  4. I've been waiting for D1st0rt to send me the old site files and/or someone to give me a copy of the old signedchatnut.jar.
  5. Yeah, it probably doesn't forward them. The spectators do send the packets at a much lower frequency, though (once per second?).
  6. I can edit without the notice until someone else reads the post. I imagine the same settings apply to you.
  7. It took two weeks of training on Dvorak for maybe an hour or two per day to get proficient. It took maybe another week for me to match my Qwerty speed. I stopped training after that, since I was only interested in the ergonomics. Those first two weeks without any Qwerty are HELL. Make no mistake, you realize how much you need to type when your WPM is 10. It took me three goes before I finally committed.
  8. If you're going to be doing this long term, I highly suggest getting up to speed on Dvorak. It takes an investment in time, but your wrists will thank you when you're done. If this typing is only short term... why not use more text books? One set of two for each arm. Four total.

    Reset

I've updated the news three times now, and it doesn't seem to be accepting the updates. I'll try to fix it later when the population dies down a bit.
  10. All money and ships have been reset in SSCE Hyperspace. Come join us in leveling up your ship on an even playing field!

Reset. Lancs are cheaper temporarily. New map.

    Map

    This is up in pub.
  13. And that's where you're wrong. Putting a map like this into Hyperspace would probably take 3-4 hours of my undivided attention. I'd have to check your regioning, I'd have to update the transwarp settings, update the jump gate settings and LVZ, I'd have to redo the sector flag map (which I can't personally do), upload the map, recycle the zone, deal with the two or three whiners that "lost" money when the zone was recycled, correct the obligatory map bug that destroys basing, upload again, recycle again. Then, once all that's done, over the next two or three days I'll get complaints that the old bases were better and the new bases are crap. Yes, I'd like to put new maps into the zone, but it takes a ton of time and effort. That's why no map work has been done in forever.

I'm waiting for someone to upload it before I fix the site, since rebuilding the chatnet jar would take far more time than I'm willing to spend.
  15. ?buy -c 10 repel EDIT: better yet: ?|buy -c 10 repel|buy -c 10 burst|buy -c 10 thor
  16. It won't buy more than your ship can hold. You won't lose anything when you die.
  17. Yes, he took the money meant to cover 2 months and shut things down 4 months later. How could he?
  18. Up until noon today, this was already implemented in the zone. That's what's causing the problem the original post is talking about. The problem is that players CANT switch to the winning team, which makes the teams vastly unfair, with no chance of reconciliation. That's why I'm belittling you. You're calling me senseless for not doing something that I already did (which caused problems). I may not play the zone, but at least I try to understand what people are saying. EDIT: I'd write a module to swap players, but I'd fear a badly written one would be worse than none at all. I don't have the time at the moment to write a good one. If someone volunteers a good one that works with the current balancing system, I'd be happy to use it.
  19. Right now, there's a team enforcer that prevents anyone from joining a team with all of the flags. At the same time, the exp balancer lifts its balance requirements when one team has all of the flags. This was done because of the constant complaining that only one or two spectators (depending on their exp) could join a game being won. I'm going to ignore you, cheese, since it's clear you haven't read this thread or played in the zone. No one can hop to the winning team. That's the problem being described in the original post.
  20. Ah, never would have thought about that. I didn't realize they sold TS cables nowadays. My guess is that the cable won't solve your popping and crackling issues, since that sounds like an amplifier problem to me.
  21. Your post made no sense at all, cheese. So what's your suggestion, Sound? The module was put in for a reason. Taking it out isn't going to address the issue.
  22. If it's the cable, then replace the cable. I didn't really follow the rest.
  23. Breaking Continuum's encryption and then publishing the results (source or binary) would outright kill the subgame zones.

    Nope. Read my message above.
