I'll write a brief reply here. Though I am a member of the council, I do not speak for the council. In my mind, any new SVS zone is fine and no one should have the right to deny it, so long as it's sufficiently different from the existing zones and has its own maps. Player count is not the point, and denying it for reasons of "splitting" the population is dangerously short sighted (and that reasoning could fallaciously be applied to authorizing any new zone). The SVS settings have been around so long they're practically public domain. They're also a great basis for SS zones as they reflect the origin of the game. *Alpha* trying to make a comeback under new ownership without the permission of the old owner is an entirely different matter. I'm a bit confused by your post. The point wasn't clear.

I'd be willing to help encourage donations from Hyperspace players by giving $50,000 HSD or 250 exp (not to exceed 25k exp on any one account) for every $1 USD donated to Freakmonger. Freakmonger would have to be willing to confirm that the donations happened, of course.

I get $5 per attach with summon. Not sure how much non-summon lancs and lg/meds get. Is it true that lancs have a larger leech range? Do they get higher $ per leech kill? Yes to both.

Lancs already get money from every player that attaches to them. They get twice as much if they have a summoner.

You two are talking about completely different things. Detecting and preventing foreign cyber attacks are what the NSA is for. Adding a kill switch for the politicians is a separate issue entirely. Lynx, your post talks about attacks, but according to that story there was no attack. They briefly mention an unrelated physical attack in Australia, as if it were relevant. There was only probing and possible preparation for future attacks. That's entirely different. Local personnel are still the best choice in responding to an actual attack.

If someone wanted to make modules for the zone, we'd help them along. Of course we'd have to check over the source for silly mistakes until they got the hang of things. The zone doesn't need any help crashing. Ignored without consideration and read without comment are very different things. Usually there are ramifications that the suggesting player has not considered. We're not asking for development help. We're asking for good sportsmanship from the players.
