  1. Why loop the map? It doesn't in game, after all.
  2. Eh?
  3. What reset?
  4. It's also Swift and my birthday. So happy birthday us.
  5. People do lose money for ragequitting. There's a losing team reward that they're giving up.
  6. Unfortunately, that seems to be the HS way. Whine, moan, do nothing about it, while secretly exploiting the system.
  7. Check out today's Woot: http://www.woot.com/ They're selling a laptop for $520 + $5 shipping. They usually have pretty good prices, but see if it's something that fits your needs. Don't take too long deciding, though, as they only sell it for one day.
  8. I second the coupon comment. I got 30% off my $1,000 HP laptop, and since I was looking at paying $700 anyway, I basically got a much better laptop for the same price. Google is a good place to start looking for coupons. If you look carefully, and aren't tied to the brand, I'm sure you can find one that will bring you to your target $500.
  9. psst, BD, he was joking. Why the interest in you, Sever? Because you hold unusual views that cannot have formed in any situation I can imagine, and certainly no normal situation (by my standards, of course. By yours they're the definition of normal). I will never agree with your views, but that doesn't mean I can't seek to the knowledge that comes from understanding their source.
  10. No, people rely on Electrical Engineers and Computer Engineers to do things with directly with chips. Computer Scientists are for programming PCs.
  11. To be a radical Christian, perhaps (and I'd probably argue that one, too). Not to be a Christian. To be a Christian, you need to believe only a handful of truths: there is a God, humans are flawed, and you are responsible for the salvation of your soul. The last one isn't even required, but I included it because it's a fundamental belief of most branches of Christianity, and personally I find it the most important. More interesting is the question, why do you believe what you do? I've spent the last few days wondering what kind of childhood trauma must have occurred for you to have the odd mix of beliefs that you do. Rebellious son of a pastor is the best I've come up with, and it's not especially good at covering all the bases. Care to enlighten us? After all, the debate is clearly dead.
  12. Your average computer nerd wouldn't, either.
  13. Looks like a great place to go and sell $3 power strips for $10.
  14. Check out the old FACTS editor. That was slick, back in the day. You may have trouble getting it to run, because of all the old .dlls it uses.
  15. I don't know much about Ubuntu specifically, but it's possible that you don't have opengl working. Running this: glxinfo | grep rendering Should output "direct rendering: Yes" and glxgears should have very high frame rates.
  16. I can only assume that crazies attract other crazies, and that's why you've had interactions with "plenty" of these people. In my experience, people of faith almost never discuss their beliefs with atheists (not to be confused with agnostics), unless directly asked. I've known only a few exceptions, and I consider these people far outside the norm in many other ways, too.
  17. Set the DirectDrawRenderer to opengl. I was able to boost my FPS to over 200 with that trick. See here: http://wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys
  18. More likely, this is something you'd start your own zone with.
  19. ?iteminfo will tell you all of that.
  20. That quote came from one of the worst movies ever, the second Matrix movie.
  21. It does if the team quits before the other one has a chance to collect all of the flags.
  22. I doubt it. I've known a few missionaries, and none of them have fallen into your extremist definition.
  23. It should be the same whether they're white or black. It's racist to apply a different set of restrictions dependent on the color of the person.
  24. If people are dumb enough to ?give someone money and expect anything back, then we're not about to help them.
  25. I completely disagree. I can only assume you've never worked with young children. For clarification, I have. Again, I disagree. I disagree. There may not be a consensus on which religion, but there is a consensus on whether to teach them. About 8% of the world is non-religious. Not even all of them believe that it shouldn't be taught. I'd call that a consensus. You do not make up a consensus. You certainly don't get to dictate how the other 92% handle their education. If one has the option to send their children to another school, no I have no problem with that. It's no different than catholic schools. I have great respect for them, but I wouldn't send my child there for the religion. What? If they have the parent's consent, then what's the issue? As NBVegita said, the parents almost certainly gave consent for the children to go.
