    So how many versus how many is it going to be? Anything over 6v6 is awfully big. Not to mention half the people who sign up won't actually show up. Maybe add an entry fee to avoid that.

    SpiderNL is up for hire in any role for any squad except these "hosting" twats. Can rush like a bau5, lanc like a bau5 or do you anything the hell you want. Also, protip: if you allow cobalts & all in that arena, you gonna get spammed to death with them most likely. Also, protip2: you might want to announce what you allow/disallow, i.e. fields, as people might want to change ship equipment according to that.
  4. What happens if you first "freeze" a bomb into a pseudo-mine, and then use a "non-freezing" repel to turn it into a bomb again? Does a bouncing bomb retain bounces that way? Someone find out.
  5. Doesn't look like it was spam. Seems more like it was the netbannable offense of ?ignore evasion through aliases. And a few other things. Such as spamming ?showmoney/exp/whatever to avoid ignore. Also, as Swift Warrior's said, and was quoted in the last topic: taking any issue you have with staff to the forums reduces your credibility in this 'case' and future ones. Not to mention you look like an idiot when the proof is presented after you ask for it. So much of an idiot I was tempted to edit your post to say "I am an idiot" and locking the thread. Oh my god, abuse!
  6. Seems sensible enough. It's not like ?go is such an important feature that it really can't be missed. Not nearly as important as not looking like a bunch of idiots to players new to the game.
  7. Sounds more like you were caught in Able's ban. Since SSCE seems to be screwed right now, I can't have a look. If it's for spam, it's awfully long. And I'd say a one-day silence would've been a more sensible option.
  8. Solution: Make bots not count as population. Either get rid of inter-zone arenas or fix it adding to zone population. Which should have been done about half a year ago. Also: Won't work. Even if you managed to get the basics done, relying on others to finish your project means it will never get anywhere near finished. People would rather write their own stuff from scratch.

  11. Some of these ideas are pretty decent. Quite a few of them are already (being) implemented in some sort of way. As for 21: your ban would be over today, I believe, if it wasn't for you evading it earlier. Also: what's mine repelling?

  15. He mentioned point two as well - if the item set isn't close to being done. That's affected by how much time I spend nerfing PD. For the record, saying it "never got nerfed while other items did" is male cow poop. Notice the speed and thrust nerf on it. It never got buffed. Yes, it got an item to buff it, but no sane person would get that on a rushing ship.
  16. Dynamic ticks are a pretty good idea. Only thing is that the jackpot still has to be pretty decent, otherwise people will just fight hard over the first couple minutes and then ragequit.

  18. My idea was actually to offer the weaker freq something similar to "Shields", but constant. While the freq is weaker, they get an X% damage reduction. This would have to be balanced to prevent it being advantageous to have fewer players, of course, but it'd at least give the weaker freq a fighting chance and prevent further ragequits. Edit: And honestly, I can't blame people for ragequiting when it's something like 8v13 (or "worse"). It's not exactly fun to be on the 8-person freq. Generally the flaggame by then has "evolved" into the awesome everyone-on-defense-freq-is-in-a-gunning-ship-and-is-holding-ctrl flaggame, which in case of a push by the attacking freq turns into the oh-they-also-have-rushers-and-they-just-cleared-us-(again) flaggame.

  20. Example player list w/ private frequencies by setting flag freqs to, say, 9000/9001: | Freq | Player Count | 0 2 13 1 17 3 ???? 2 ???? 1 ???? 3 ???? 2 ???? 1 Please tell me which frequencies are the flagging frequencies, if any, and how many players there are on them.
  21. In short: exoskeleton versus l1, meta versus l2 if bombs don't worry you, aphasic versus l3 and up.. What the item descriptions say, really.
  22. Which would be unnecessarily confusing: f2 would show an epic fight of freq ???? vs ????. Real solution: ?changeteam. I don't like band-aid "solutions".
  23. No. That's not the problem either. It means that if there's 1 player on freq 90 and one on freq 91, the next player to ?flag will be put on freq 92, and so forth.
  24. It's not a dumb idea. A neater solution is possible though: disallow private frequencies from going into any sector but center, HT or b8 (just make the gates "not work") and disable all types of FTL.

    Key Mapping

    Might be a better idea to reserve shift/alt instead of ctrl/alt. Shift is used very frequently by games as a "modifier" like that.
