Ok, one coder and three non-coders willing so far I know there are many coders who don't visit ssforum. Since coders are the most needed folk, could everybody give a link here to any coder that you see in the game?

Since everybody (well, almost nobody really ) knows that I really love this game and hate it's state of near-death, I am constantly thinking about doing a new and good version of the game. The next version. Version 2. The perfect one. However, I am only a single lazy man, so that is difficult at best... Wow, weird. You can see if your video card has rotation settings in control panel->display->settings->advanced.

Try toggling the "Avoid Page Filpping" checkbox under advanced options. If that does not do it, also try "Software Emulation" in the same place.

It does not record *video*, just some gameplay. (Insert mandatory rant that I am too tired to type about ASSS being stupid here)

No, you can't make videos with ASSS. But there are other programs that can take a video. I think they were discussed in The Lounge a while ago. Or perhaps Development?

Well yeah, it should not take up 100%... but maybe your CPU is just totally fried because of bad cooling? Or it is set at 200mhz or something?

What that checkbox does is basically disable file write access (hence the cannot create file error) and probably some other things like that (for example registry access is probably limited). Only for the actual program that you run (Continuum) - others are unaffected.

Yes, indeed, Continuum is the one who blocks the execution since any protection program would no doubt alert the user of a blocked application whereas Continuum usually stays silent when it refuses to run. It might be possible to add a safe list to Continuum (not sure though, since the protection programs might also try to hide that it is them who are doing the probing) but since the last update was......... many many years ago and the programmer is nowhere in sight..... that does not seem likely. I understand that it is quite a concern to require users to disable their protection programs but alas... fixing that would require someone who can add new code to the game, and the only person who could do that is nowhere in sight.

You can't configure anything manually. It's blocked. That's all there is to it

Do the keys respond slow or is the entire picture slow? This could be because of some other program that is being nasty. Try closing everything else.

Please post your system specs by doing the following: start->run->msinfo32 In that program, just use file->save and attach the file to a post.

Well first of all... what's the problem? Why should it not use 100%? That's perfectly normal for most games. But if you really want to decrease it, make sure "no framerate limit" and "software emulation" are both off in advanced options. Also enable VSync if you know how (it should be in the video card settings in your control panel).

Heh To sum it up: if it works at all then if the memory you add is crappier then it will slow down. But if it is the same or better, it'll be good.
