    They're in the post.
  4. It's Linux, do you need Win?
  5. Jab if you don't like TW, instead of whining about things that should be changed, why don't you create what should be replaced... If your shit is good, the public of TW will like it, and there won't really be much choice for TW staff to say that they're not going to make the changes, however if you just claim that you're correct with pretty much no proof... well... Then you're a stubborn idiot. -L
  6. So yeah, as I'm going to University I came close to buying a car but after seeing the campus and realising everything is pretty much within 500 or so meters, I decided to get a bike. I'm living in halls, and I'm on the 6th floor so a 24" or 26" bike seemed pretty awkward, so I decided to go BMX... I had an old (1980s) diamondback frame in my shed from when I was a kid that my brother gave to me from when he was a kid, so I figured I'd spend a while cleaning it up and making it look a bit funky retro... Here's the results... Prime Coat http://dl.krslynx.com/Temp/bicycleet/IMG_0070.JPG Base Coat http://dl.krslynx.com/Temp/bicycleet/IMG_0071.JPG Lackered Finish http://dl.krslynx.com/Temp/bicycleet/IMG_0072.JPG The Parts http://dl.krslynx.com/Temp/bicycleet/Photo%2030.jpg Then assembly.. As it's an old bike, I tried to grab the sizes of the seat tube/clamp etc from the intertubes, however I got the wrong year and bought a 22.5mm tube with according clamp... This frame has a slightly larger tube size (I believe 25.4mm) so as you can tell, there's no seat on there... But this is the finished product and it's pretty fun to ride... I'd not been on two wheels in years, so I was wobbly as hell as first but I'm getting the hang of it again.. http://dl.krslynx.com/Temp/bicycleet/IMG_0075.JPG http://dl.krslynx.com/Temp/bicycleet/IMG_0076.JPG http://dl.krslynx.com/Temp/bicycleet/IMG_0077.JPG Fun Stuffs, -L

I've got a Mac and I've not even thought about going back, but I just can't agree with their prices. Also, I've read similar from HP, and I've actually got a few friends with problematic HP machines. Hrmmm

Yeah, I came close to buying her a Mac as I run Mac and find it great, however you're completely right they're very overpriced. The think-pads are great too, I used to have one (I actually think I still have one with a broken screen that I should sell...) but they seem a bit awkward to get my hands on to see in person, I never really see them on high streets etc. I looked at some HP Pavilion(sp?) but I hated the keyboards, although they seem like good laptops. What's thoughts on the Dell Inspiron/XPS range?? Oh, and how about that slimline laptop that I think MSI released? Has anybody tried it out etc -L
  10. hak i hate you.
  11. Wow sama, I just opened up that link... Your system sucks. It's like, right at the sucks end of the bar...

So my girlfriend needs a new laptop, she's not really got many requirements so it doesn't need to be a gaming machine however it shouldn't be something *too budget. At least 15" in size, and light weight. Operating system doesn't really matter, as she uses Linux on her current notebook anyway so if that helps anybody shave on prices all the better... Anybody seen anything in particular that they've seen lately that they'd like to get, or would consider getting? -L
  14. Wow, it's in England too..
  15. Maybe it's just me, but possibly the previous flag radar was aesthetically pleasing due to how transparent it was. If you place a small radar there that is (or looks) near fully opaque, it will annoy the fuck out of people. I agree though, the smaller radar defiantly looks a lot better and still serves it's purpose, but I have doubts to whether it needs to be quite as deeply coloured as it is right now, seems a bit overkill for a graphics set which is very minimal and basic by original design. Also, Cer would those items still be there with indicator 0 or would they disappear? -L
  16. It's all well and good adding a 3D look to tiles that are very simple (like Jabs above), however when you've got a much more complex tile-set adding the 3D look requires everything be done completely by shading. Lord, I suggest you talk to ThunderJam and Aquarius - also, if you place your basic tiles (the texture you mentioned etc) that you'd like, I could have a go at making them suitable 45 and 22.5 degree tiles with shading although I must admit if you want some damn good tiles from my experience ThunderJam is the damn man, he's given me probably one of the best tile-sets I've seen in a *very long time. Also, I was just wondering are you looking for a complete new tile-set, or a ghost tile-set that is similar to the previous one (so you don't have to retile quite as much), I've not been to DSB in a while but I remember the tiles being quite arbitrary which means something of the same caliber to be recreated would mean a lot of care taken with the new tiles placements. Good luck, -L
  17. I want to see pics of the damage.
  18. Haha purge that owns.
  19. Bit rich from you, root.
  20. I couldn't agree more.
  21. So that's like 16GB of ram? .... You're not very good at maths are you? roffle
  22. SS works on the Mac through wine, just build the latest version from source and apply the process patch - and enjoy. Make sure you enable opengl for decent frame rate, other than that little tweaks here and there make it more playable. There was a few bugs, but nothing major. I also managed to get ASSS to compile on the Mac (I used it to test modules I was working on), however I never actually got ASSS to run on my Mac. -L *latest development build, 1.0.1 won't work. Oh, and you need an intel mac.
  23. Common expression, Sama.
  24. I'll be buying a server for University when I actually get there from e-bay, cheap as chips.
