  1. yes this is why i moved the fire to door tiles, so that it is animated fire and to free room for more flyovers
  2. I had realized the blue-light tiles didn't WORK LOL sorry to those who tried to tile with them. Here's the update, saves some more room too. http://ssdev.hlrse.net/hs20.png hs12.lvl
  3. UPDATE: http://ssdev.hlrse.net/hs11.png hs11.lvl

  9. Also aqua, that blue rock sphere wouldn't look too bad shrunk down to 16x16, this would use up a tile under the silver pipes. true
  10. http://ssdev.hlrse.net/hs3.png now metal or cement? or should we use the technological style way up there. http://ssdev.hlrse.net/hs5.png Edit: These techno's look better, easier to tile with, and smaller. Room for more diversity. http://ssdev.hlrse.net/hs6.png
  11. Hmm how about: http://ssdev.hlrse.net/hs2.png
  12. Quigybobo> OMG if you do chrome I will F*CKING KILL YOU I agree smokey, plus trying to tile with the blue cement sucks. I like the gradient blue tiles, it seems classic to me, though I've only been playing HS for a year. I would also like to see metallic in place of cement.
  13. So Quigybobo and I have decided the tiles above are too detailed, in order to tile the entire map, they should be much more simplified (so you can use the same tile, rather than copy and paste a group of tiles). Here is the current HS tileset. http://ssdev.hlrse.net/current.png The color palette is horrible, as well as the fire, and cement textures. We should use some of the cement from this tileset Cerium had posted. http://hybrid.shanky.com/tilesets/arctos_Zm.bmp I also have this, does anybody like it? http://ssdev.hlrse.net/hz.png
  14. Here, this is professional, base designers can import this now. These are the main walls, although I think theres a bug or two in them, ill get to that. The rest of the space left on the tileset will have much more diversity. Also, the current walls will probably be cut shorter somehow, to allow room fpr ,pre. http://ssdev.hlrse.net/hstile.png feed back?
  15. move the objects, you will find it does i grouped them together in my photoshop do!@#$%^&*ent to crop a preview image
  16. Experimenting. Going for a technological look with much diversity. Tileset Nazi's: Feedback please! http://ssdev.hlrse.net/hstiles.png

  19. As for the tileset, I have everything setup now, and computer is working like it should. Any suggestions?
  20. The average player will not get so deep into his items, he will simply ?buy the existing ones, or ?buy them from players. Those who actually enjoy customizing their ship -fully-, will have no problem visiting a neat website.
  21. IT STINKS! I am a map nazi, I only like bases 1 and 3 (current), the rest were 'painted' and not 'plotted', you can tell which bases took some sort of math/geometry and which ones were thrown together in a chaotic fashion. As for the center dueling area I suggest it gets larger, with more warpers (like the ones we have in the four corners now).
  22. It just needs a good GUI.
  23. Players should be able to customly create their own sublight drives and reactors. This would be very interesting. Maybe some sort of web-based application that links to the zone. Providing categories of ship settings. Every time the player, for example if the player increases the value of InitialRecharge and MaxRecharge, then a green bar at the bottom of the page will move down, OR, just a green box indicating the Sublight. Another green bar for Reactor, ect. Cerium I am sure you can come up with a good forumula/solution to allow players to build their ships from scratch. Once they 'Save' their items on the site, it moves into their inventory, from which you can actually sell your own work.
  24. Yea, that should be on the public post, although we do keep track of who does what.
