  2. well i support the decision to stop working on subgame, it's obsolete and we'll find much more fun in the near future in ASSS zones, (hyperspace)

  5. most people won't know how to operate in ASSS and what hs needs is not new mods but new developers who are experienced with c or python. enough said
  6. SSDev is a group of (inactive) SS enthusiasts who possess limited to quite amazing skills in Continuum development. Willing to help any zone they see potential in, providing educated suggestions, maps, ship-settings, tilesets, lvz ect.. If your zone is not getting the respect it deserves, leave it to us. Make a new post on this forum with your zone's name, a paragraph describing your zone, and what you feel you need from us. We'll either tell you what's wrong with your zone and offer you help, or tell you to shut down the server and stop trying, newbie. We target players who want to develop. Developing for subspace is a great thing to do for yourself if your 'that type' of person. It's a chance to unleash your creativity in a place where possibly hundreds of people can enjoy it. Creating something that everyone loves and has fun with is a feeling I have only gotten in subspace. Aquarius
  7. Okay I've been getting ahead of myself with this whole project. Here is the current status. I have designed the visual theme for the zone, you can check that out on SSM SSDev (!@#$%^&*S) in ?go battlezone. It's just the tileset we will be using. Yavaris had designed a wonderful layout that matched my vision of the base I want, unfortunately not for battlezone, but for S!@#$%^&*. However, I made modifications to that layout to express what I would like to see in a new layout, specifically for battlezone, which can be found on SSM SSDev (subgame) in ?go yavaris The idea is a turf zone, much like deathstar battle, including about 20 flags throughout this kind of base (?go yavaris). Yavaris has agreed to redesign another layout like the one he made for S!@#$%^&*, when he has the time. For now I have a map displaying the tileset I will use, unfinished i must add. One main thing that needs to be done is to get the ?buy and ?money tracking modules released by Dr. Brain working in ?go battlezone. I have no clue how to do this, as my compiles failed many times, and once my compile actually produced a .dll the server crashes at startup. So I'm waiting on yavaris, or anyone else who thinks they can come up with some clever base as described. As I don't know too many people who could get the ?money and ?buy modules working, I called upon Smong, who should be able to do this. Once these requirements are met, I can focus on all the extra ideas that I got ahead of myself with in the previous post. bz.lvl

  10. Use ASSS and don't even tell me "TW doesn't you ASSS" because you need to step away from TW if you want to do anything spectacular. I would say it is impossible to add new settings to any trench wars game simply because TW will not upgrade their biller for TWDev newbs, I'm not saying twdev is newbs (not exactly ) , but I am saying that upper staff in Trench Wars looks at TWDev as newbs. So practice makes perfect, run an ASSS zone, start a turf game! Edit: And yea, it's possible to make new settings. It's all in the biller, ASSS is an example they have new settings. All you need to do is learn how to program C (i think), and edit the code. BUT once again, i doubt trench wars will upgrade their biller.

  12. I really don't see a point to all these FTL engines. I think there should be a price/distance/ease factor to all of them. For instance, 50k will bring you to the hypertunnel by means of ?buy jump, 75k will bring you to the hypertunnel also, but specifying a base, landing you on that particular gate. While 100k can bring you into the base of your choice, but eliminating half of your energy. Then the TW P!@#$%^&* does it's job, but should be lower in price. SOMETHING like that, i'm not a coordinator, but you get the idea, the prices are probably all wrong, but something needs to be worked out!
  13. basically, i bought AD and the next day they changed it, i wish i didn't, i do however wish to keep it on my lancaster, but i wish i hadn't bought it for my wb, since i can just summon to my lanc again and rush again, no point in having this form of AD on my warbird And no, i didn't get my moneys worth, do you know how long it took me to save up money?? ..There is no periodic message saying "your items are subject to change without refund".. But that's just me complaining, its an online game ffs, upper staff does what they can but at the end of the day, its an online GAME
  14. Even a small fix that stops 50% or even 10% of brickwarps would be nice for now.
  15. I propose an Anti-BW Field available only for the Lancaster. If the Lanc sits in the middle of the field, it's very unlikely that lag will still cause the brick to warp him. This would be done, effectively, by deprizing the enemy's bricks upon entering the field, and reprizing the amount of bricks taken when he exits the field. (but ignoring reprization after his death) Antideath, to me, has always been extremely lame until recently, the fix is effective, thanks. TW P!@#$%^&* Last but not least, freqs... Yea, currently the rich players will sit around and type ?jackpot every now and then, and when it's high they will organize a private team, adding loads of money + exp into their ludicrous accounts. Disabling private teams and enabling squads + leagues would be a great idea. I know many rich newbs would say this is a horrible idea because you can't ?kick a player from your team, freq hopping and blah blah blah. A player freq hops because he needs money, you create a private team because you like having lots of money. In reality Hyperspace is lame, !@#$%^&*, Continuum is lame. So we must decide which is the better of the evils, and I would rather have freq hopping than private team whoring any day. That is all.
