I think hyperspace is balanced. When we see everyone in the same ship, then we have a problem. Notice the ships that are rarely used, and tweak them until they are used as much as the others.

I haven't had time to configure anything at all. Feel free to do whatever you want to the servers, you will find it very hard to make me angry. Just don't be immature and delete other people from sysop and such, unless they are the ones doing it to others, then delete them. But, I don't have much time right now, in the past days, and in the coming days. So I just wanted to get these zones up and running for you guys. If theres anyone who wants to join, needs powers in the zones, needs something else, it can all be handled without me here. So consider yourselves the owners of SSDev, and I will be back in the near future with more than just a few replies on this forum. Later!

Yea, I actually posted and said you were all on the lists, because I was planning on doing that right after I posted, but, I had to run. Doing it now, before I run again. FTP will be granted when someone asks for it. We don't need subgame dev's logging into the ftp clogging the 2-3 user max. ASSS developers will have FTP, basically. Yes Samipico, these zones are a blessing, and just what we needed to go further and expand our development connections. Hopefully we can work on battlezone. Still need that base (I might just do it myself if nobody else will), and we need people to respond to the battlezone post , it needs discussion, sparks must fly. Anyways, I'm making you all sysop, and adding SSBeta to moderators. Edit: I'll need FTP to add staff to the ASSS server. I think. But I'm runnin', hopefully we have FTP before I return, and someone else adds everyone.

Not sure how it's coming along, I sort of backed away because TJ was on it. I'm no pro, nor a fan of tiling isometry. Isometric arena's should be done in higher resolution levels. I can make you some from top view, if you wish.

i rather enjoy the fact that samapico is always willing to add in features to save developers time Samapico, currently i do not use DCME. As a developer i find some large issues with it. Such as the lag. I use SSME for the actual mapping, then I use CLT to do the rest. CLT is java but i must admit it can tile with large lvz images very quickly.

Creemy and others had suggested different 'levels' in ssdev, and I had opposed that idea because this isn't any type of staff or any means of obtaining rank. So I told them to create a Beta Division, which is simply those who are still learning, since ssdev is an open group for those who want to learn. In reality I still believe having everyone in the same list doesn't hurt a !@#$%^&* thing, but oh well, hence Beta Division

Agreed. You know I'm trying. I urge anyone who develops -anything- for the game to join Subspace Development. It is by no means any type of 'staff' or 'council', it's just those who develop sharing ideas and material with one another. You can join by ?messaging me in game. I will send you the ?chat and the password for the private forums.

I think i have to agree with Grav. Since i started reading this post i got the sneaky feeling that the article will in fact be biased. You want to provide good information to that article you should look at some other people. Example, grelminar about ASSS -must- be in there. Mine go boom about the development community. Yes Polix with web community. MikeTheNose with a retrospective paragraph on old school event making, while having someone like Wormhole Surfer discuss new school events. Dr Brain and his dev staff such as D1st0rt can discuss the actual creation of advanced subspace gaming. Also: Trench Wars Leagues (among other zone leagues) But trench wars should be the focal point. (btw screw trench wars, but their leagues are a good example) Zone Staffing (this will attract power hungry newbs who play or spec 15 hours a day or more. Clearly note in the article how Continuum is a spectacular chat client. Use the quote "It's like IRC but with a free spaceship game." Squads ?chats Running your own servers. How Continuum is basically a game ENGINE. You can customize everything. They want to hear the old school don't get me wrong, but the new school has to be center stage, we need to let everyone know there is a bright future in development.
