  1. the alternate install seems to be working better. i've had no errors and almsot done installing the base
  2. i noticed that. i don't play any games so it will be fine..i don't even play continuum anymore. as long as it supports g.....g.....crap i forgot the name. let me look in the src code.. opengl. i need it to support opengl and someone told me that most modern computers do (if not all). any other advice?

  4. it wouldn't let me upload the image. it's probably my crappy gfx card. i need a new computer. anyone know of a good place to buy a laptop cheap?
  5. i've gotten it to load somewhat. i got to the ubuntu graphic loader (the orange bar going back and forth). than i've gotten to where it starts and loads things then on the far right it will have a bunch of [OK] things. then it gives me this image:(attachment). the mouse works at the grey image screen. reselution problems? ubuntu_image.zip

  7. i'm giving up. vmware doesn't even help!!. alternate doesn't help either... i think it's my crap computer that doesn't have the ability to install linux systems.

  15. installing it right now...if this doesn't work i dont know what will edit: yeh it's working. the problem was that infranrecorder wasn't recording it right (the image). i used isorecorder and it worked. now i'm gonna be efficient and thurough, so i'm checking the cd for defects. then i will install . kinda funny that i'm using 158mb ram for ubuntu lol. wow it's taking forever just to load the "linux kernel" to ... start the cd check. 22% after about 10 minutes.

  19. rootbear may be right. if you are using a wireless controller, make sure it has full battery. (only on wireless). make sure cables are all the way in?

  24. in guitar hero 3, a possible way to fix it is to go to the settings->video options->calibrate lag(this may not be actual path. it's a guess. if it isn't there, keep looking for it). it will then ask you to do a simple thing you should figure it out.
  25. so in some way an application that has the feelings and ideas of linux (in this case).
