  1. Uncultured heathens. In many societies, it is common practice to have your daughter married off at the ages of 8-13, and sex is permissable at that age, as long as the woman is consenting. If a woman remains unmarried after a certain age (like 13 or 15, can't remember) they can be fined for pros!@#$%^&*ution and publicly ridiculed as a -*BAD WORD*-, simply because they have no husband.
  2. hit ESC and while the menu is up, hit F3 There are 3 states for this: 1) All nametags on (including your own ship) 2) All nametags on (not including your ship) 3) all nametags OFF (what I think you are looking for)
  3. Most laptops have a maximum res of 1024x768 or 1280x1024.
  4. Make sure that the name you are trying to use doesn't start with any special characters... Names can only start with letters or numbers.

    dll

No offense Deathangel, but everything you have listed here has been un-helpful information, which is why we are unable to help up to this point. Just to clarify a couple things: There is no "Continuum39pr1.dll" anywhere, only an .exe file by that name. Which is why ekted suggested his solution (the menures.dll error sounds similar to your description.) I suggest that you unistall continuum completely, then delete the game folder, the re-install continuum 38, then follow the instructions here: http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=2972 I'm also unaware of what the /emulate means or where you put it... I've never heard that before in continuum. (my !@#$%^&*umption is that "using the /emulate option" would achieve nothing.) So I will start with the standard suggestions, which I suggest you follow, or else there is no purpose for you asking for help if you rule out suggestions for one reason or another... Install the latest version of DirectX 9.0b Install the latest Sound/Video drivers Run windows update, or visit microsoft.com and update manually. I also suggest that you open the file "exception.log" with a text editor and see if there is any useful leads there (please do not just paste the info here, because the majority of the contents of that file will be useless as we troubleshoot your problem. Best of luck.
  6. If you really want me to tell you how to do it, I will, but its a tedious set of instructions and you have to mess with your BIOS, and honestly, I'm afraid you will break something unless supervised (no offense of course.)
  7. If the map was downloaded from a website, it could have been corrupted based on what kind of data the server thought it was (rather than just dishing out the lvl file, it may have accidentally thought it was a bmp and corrupted the lvl info.)
  8. agreed... that was a silly thing to say GTO.

  10. Check device manager for your sound device and network adapter and make sure they aren't trying to use the same IRQ and resources.
  11. then the problem is related to your video card (hardware) either: 1) card is broken 2) drivers suck (get new, maybe older drivers if you are using the most current ones) 3) DirectX DirectX DirectX

  14. it's lag plain and simple. From the main menu of continuum, select your zone, then hit the "trace" button. Let it run for about 50 cycles, then export the results and post them here so we can provide you with more info about it.
  15. Voodoo cards have known issues with Continuum. Try replacing/updating drivers.

    TCPA

Then how did TCPA get this far?

What if all ISP's require you to relinquish your privacy rights in order for them to provide you service. And privacy rights only apply towards what can and can't be used in a court of law and what warrants can be issued. Basically this means that the police can tap your phone if they do it "behind the scenes," without a warrant and they wont get in trouble... they just aren't allowed to use the knowledge that they gain from the survellance in court. Any subsiquent info gained based soley on that info, or gained due to the private info, is all not valid in court. That doesn't mean that they don't do it, and then create a backtracked trail after-the-fact in order to make it legal.

    TCPA

That's total bs. 1) You have no credibility in my eyes because you can't spell. This tells me that you are uneducated and that your rationale and bias are probably not well thought out. 2) Apps such as subspace (known as legacy software,) which are not originally encoded with the protection that TCPA offers will not be affected. 3) All software that uses TCPA will obviously be new software, which costs the producers money to create, and therefore they deserve the right to have it protected. 4) If ppl didn't pirate software and music, it wouldn't cost as much to buy it, and there would be no reason to pirate it. People who can afford software, music, etc. don't pirate things. Just because you are poor doesn't mean you have the right to use any software you want for free. 5) Professional athletes are overpaid, so are movie stars, lawyers, doctors, etc. Just because you think they are overpaid doesn't give you the right to steal from them. Spreading wealth amongst the population so that the poor recieve products for free, while the rich pay for it? There is a term for this: socialism. http://m-w.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?book=Dic...ry&va=socialism 2 a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state 3 : a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done We live in a capitalistic society, where people can make make money any way they like, within the law. Just because you don't think it's fair doesn't give you the right to go vigilante on those entrepreneurs. You have the same opportunities as they do, it's your choice to not be successful, or to find out how to be successful. If you made 100k/year, you wouldn't care much about paying for the rights to things.
