  1. Excellent. :]
  2. http://store.steampowered.com/app/70/ For $0.98 you can buy yourself a copy of Half-Life through Steam (not a physical retail copy though) at an unlimited quantity until Valve reverses the price back to $9.99. Cheap! Grab yourself a copy while you still can.
  3. Movie was great. Saw it twice in the same day. :]
  4. Thanks!
  5. AIO Server Kit The Server Kit includes preconfigured copies of MERVBot, Subgame, Snrrrub's Directory Server (v1.0), Catid's Biller (v11j), and VIE's Biller. Again, all of them are preconfigured for on-demand use, which means that once you install the package (which can be opened with WinRAR if you prefer not to use the self-extract GUI) you can run any one of the server programs and be able to use them right away! Download (Latest): * http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/ServerKit-v4-Full.exe (Version 4) Download (Older): * http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/ServerKit-v3-Full.exe (Version 3) * http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/ServerKit-v2-Full.exe (Version 2) * http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/ServerKit-Full.exe (Version 1) Subdir.Net Webpage Update No, there still isn't any programming in the webpage yet, but I have refreshed the listing with new/removed/modified entries. I wonder if Maverick would be interested in using Subdir statistic files since PriitK's directory servers are seemingly gone now. :S Subdir.Net Continuum Installer Home-made installer that comes preconfigured with the most optimal tweaks and recommended default settings. Also contains the latest list of known directory servers and the latest "All Commands" help file with Isometry commands included! Graphic files have also been optimized for the smallest filesizes possible using file formats such as PNG and GIF; this also decreases loading time and stress on the client machine. You can download the installer HERE.
  6. Continuum needs DX10 SM4 shader support and application. EDIT :: And support for the bestest antialiasing and anisotropic filtering.
  7. Agreed. And for the ones that allow a per-day-voting basis, I could easily fit those links into my morning routine.
  8. Quite frankly I have to disagree with you 100% on this because you are incorrect. Continuum is not a loss nor gain to Valve, and they won't care to put it up. Even it it's just a link to the community. TrackMania for example, is a totally free and independent game from Valve and Steam, even though it is offered through Steam. Where do you think Valve gets a gain from that? Nowhere. I've played the game and checked it out, and I see nothing in the game (including master servers) that have anything to do with Valve or Steam. On top of that, there are several other games on Steam that don't benefit Valve either. I must say, quite naive to throw down the push to get Continuum onto Steam. EDIT :: But of course, I'm always wrong and everything, that is, because I disagree with the mainstream opinion in this community (which doesn't necessarily mean the community is right either). If you don't want to do anything about it -- fine -- but then don't complain that the game is dying because you never dared to venture into the unknown and impossible. There has never been a community push for it; how would YOU know what Valve has to say? No reply is needed for this, because I'm pretty sure I know what kind of comments I would receive on this anyway. I support any and every effort in promoting and moving Continuum forward. However it disgusts me that people would reject ideas because they are too afraid or naive to try (sorry, no offense intended), or simply and honestly don't care (whether they admit it or not). Unless the community makes a move, nobody will ever know.
  9. Then we should bug PriitK to do that. Otherwise it should be a community effort to persuade Valve into plopping Continuum into their listing at the minimum.
  10. I would add in some personal comments' date=' but ethical guidelines prohibit me from doing so. http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=15401&hl=, Hakaku http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic...inuum+advertise, PoLiX Maverick What is this talk of DDoSing? I'm pretty sure I remember this from the early 00s when the community was getting an overwhelming number of active players. But then PoLiX replies... PoLiX Maverick responds... Maverick In the same thread, why did I say the following soon after? L.C. sil By the way, as of some recent months Snrrrub and I have done some extensive playing around with the Peering feature of Subgame. Snrrrub has just recently also told me that he was able to get the peering feature to work successfully on SSC zones AND non-SSC (I'm pretty sure he said for non-SSC too, anyway). I do not find any of the community's excuses legitimate for not trying to get Continuum/Subspace into Steam and the likes. Nothing has to be bridged over to Steam you know; TrackMania Nations Forever for example isn't bridged, and after downloading the game through Steam you don't even need Steam to run and play the game either.

    Zone Hosts

BlueT updates: * We no longer support ASSS hosting of any kind due to the inability to update the server software and libraries (there is no safe way to update the entire operating system for core libraries, as the server is supportless by its datacenter). * We will only be supporting MERVBot hosting for BlueT hosted zones with a limit of one spawn per BlueT zone. Service to non-BlueT zones will not be provided.
  12. I don't agree with Brain either. Comparing ASSS->!@#$%^&*S to You->U is like comparing apples and oranges.
  13. Like 99% of these ideas are just repeated thoughts. I think most people in this community are well aware of all the possible ways if not most ways of advertising the game. The excuse that I see this community pull out of its !@#$%^&* is that, "oh no! if we get too many people, SSC will crash!" I think that's a bullsh*t excuse, but whatever. One person can't make a difference. If this offends anyone, the offense wasn't intended. ;o Just my two cents.
  14. 4 on CRT. :\ I was hoping to do a little better, but I think 4 is still pretty good compared to most people. :\
  15. Even though standards have seemingly been lowered to get SSC slots, it's still a pain in the a$$ to try and get one. I don't think you will have any luck one way or another until Snrrrub's client hack is released. EDIT :: And the client-hack works in collaboration with his biller and webserver, Isometry.
  16. No. The Subspace font is completely custom.
  17. http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/BF2-256AI.php Weee.....! Pretty self explanatory.
  18. Erm, that chat font stuff is temporary, right? You do plan on importing the original font graphics / converting them to actual fonts and using it, correct?
  19. Don't forget Snrrrub's wares, including a brand new directory server and more; http://sharvil.nanavati.net/projects/subspace/. I agree with Explody pretty much in every respect. (I read it, unlike some people I bet )
  20. Haha wow.
  21. Wow, I never knew that. D:
  22. I highly recommend that everyone runs at 16-bit because you will not see any color gain in Continuum and will have a performance hit. The only place you will EVER, -if at all-, see use of colors greater than 16-bit's is in LVZ, and to be honest, I don't really know of a zone that depends on 32-bit either. I might be wrong -- that is, there may be a couple zones out there, but there is no real advantage of using 32-bit graphics. I have noticed that compared to 16-bit graphics, 32-bit graphics has a terrible and nasty performance hit on machines.
  23. Quoted for truth. I still have yet to get a DVORAK version of my keyboard. >.<
  24. I don't like the front-end of DAWS and that "Awards" thing. Quoted for support.
  25. That's because you aren't supposed to have a trailing ;.
