  1. Cool.
  2. http://www.hlrse.net/Qwerty/gaw_ss1.png This advertisement is doing very well, with a CTR of 1.76%. Overall CTR is nearly 0.5%. Google Analytics code snippet has still not been put into getcontinuum.com. Who has access to the website?
  3. lol. Real-time multiplayer Subspace mapping with up to 1024 players. Who knows, it could bring some interesting gameplay opportunities Collaboration maps where everyone gets to make a 'house' like ?go twtown (in tw) would never be the same. Samapico could just make a special SSME clone with a server kit and make this a reality on a low-level for anything Subspace.
  4. Should probably design the RPG in such a way where it would not ultimately be able to do that. In my opinion, the idea would be to use that as a bridge for getting people to actually download and install the real game.

  7. Blah, was hoping you did not know this. Putting a video card in the oven could fix it? wuuut? I've heard about hard drives in the freezer, and that did make some sense, with the heads shrinking and possibly unjamming... but video card + oven? http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1421792&highlight=oven+baking There is a possibility that with some dead or fried video cards that the internal soldering and channels break connection, and the simple solution so that would be reforming the channels and internal soldering to reconnect broken points. Conventional ovens are strong enough to gently fix this problem without causing damage to other parts of the card; a bake session should last between 7 to 11 minutes. Read the HardForum thread.
  8. I need at least two more submissions.

  12. If Juan didn't make the shark model (as seen in Subspace v1.34+), then who did?
  13. Can I have your 8800? I'm being serious. I'll even pay for the shipping.
  14. I have 25 invites. Send me a private message with your e-mail.
  15. Within just a couple hours, the advertising campaign for Continuum/Subspace has achieved a CTR of 0.22% and an average CPI/IPC of about 850 impressions. Facebook was only able to get us a CTR no greater than 0.05% and a CPI/IPC of about 2080, for about $0.30 per 1000 impressions or $0.50 to $0.75 per click. Google AdWords: 19 clicks, 8583 impressions, and only $3.09 spent. Facebook would be charging about $20 to $40 for this. I won't be posting updated statistics here, so I encourage you to request statistics/reports access from me if you are interested in keeping track of where money is going and how the advertising campaign is going. I will be setting up a "balance" meter thing in the OP to help me adjust the daily maximum budget accordingly. The formula I will be using to determine the daily budget is to divide the daily balance by 7 (this way the advertising campaign will theoretically "never" stop and will be dynamically based on how much money is available).
  16. Ok! Bank account verified and advertisements are now running. If you would like reports/statistics access to the advertisements, private message me the e-mail address you would like me to "invite."
  17. Plus you can add support for squared 2048, 3072, 4096, and 8192 map sizes. EDIT: Or perhaps support for any map size with dimensions divisible by 16 or something (just some base-2 number I pulled out of my head; Half-Life has this limit for textures).
  18. I am interested.
  19. see: http://www.ssforum.net/index.php?showtopic=24093 Oh yeah, wow, haha, and I had just looked at that thread too.
  20. Hmm, I wonder how feasible it would be to create a very basic online flash/Java version of Subspace. Idea is that it would be a "taste" of the real thing, and would try and point people to installing the full game. Either way, a Facebook Application for Subspace could point people to getcontinuum.com via link or something.
  21. I have uploaded an installer for you Grav (self-executable RAR archive to developers).
  22. Hehe, I remember when I used Twister in Trench Wars (under L.C.) and Metal Gear Solid (under a different name??) like 4-5 years ago. I received a simple ban from Metal Gear Solid, but in Trench Wars I received a netban and a username-lock (would give a popup error saying that my username "L.C. is locked out"). The netban and username-lock expired only a few years ago...which means my ban must have been like 2 years or something. EDIT: And if anyone bothers to ask, I have no intention of cheating again. :\ Through a lifetime of experience, cheating simply exhausts the fun and purpose of the game. I don't know how to use CE on Continuum anymore either, and I never actually used this in a public zone. Someone taught me a few hacks with it on Continuum years ago, but I only played around with it in a private non-SSC zone to figure out how memory hacking works. Then I used CE on some Java/Flash games in Firefox to get massive points or impossibly high WPM scores on keyboard typing sites. I also used it to get into the top three for one of the songs that come with Audiosurf on maximized difficulty.
  23. I like the idea, but who would actually be willing to go and figure out how to operate the Facebook Developer API to create such application?
  24. Was thinking about this in trying to figure out what you were meaning. I will create an installer sometime soon. And yes, your points are legitimate.
  25. A cross-compatible Subspace client would be a major plus in foundation, influence points, and population.
