  2. Did anyone figure out how/why this happened? How did it get back up so fast. PriitK isn't pseudo-dead? Nope. He's there alright. He doesn't have a blind eye for his server.

  4. At this latency, your phone is only good for chatting.

  6. That's still overkill. To play Subspace like in old times, you need a download and upload speed of 2 to 3 KB/s and a latency between 200 to 300 milliseconds. As long as you get a latency below 230ms, as long as you get a speed of 4 KB/s or higher, that's practically overkill for Subspace. (The better the stats are in comparison to dialup; if you get dialup speeds, it's only better in that you have a constant stable connection.) Sweet! How do you intend to bring this about if you allow them to play? ie. Wormhole physics
  7. You must be drunk or something. When you aren't drunk, reread the OP and notice that both versions are about 48 KB larger than Standard version. That means instead of utilizing 'All' in template.sss, it will have the ship names manually. The profile thing means that it will list everything for Warbird, then Javelin, then Spider, etc, rather then Warbird, Javelin, Spider ... Shark, repeat. Because of this, there will be approximately an addition of 48 KB to the filesize of template.sss. So when you do ESC+C, you will be downloading that much more -- it will take at least twice as long to receive the settings file in *.set format. Therefore, for the convenience of potential few, I am willing to go the extra mile and cover support for those who can live with the incorrect order (but with smallest filesize).
  8. Also, what kind of latency do you guys get on your cell phones? :? Did anyone bother checking this? That is 48 KB/s. More than enough for Subspace. And if you have low latency, it's overkill for Subspace (the higher the latency, the more the purpose of your speed is defeated in terms of Subspace).
  9. Subgame2 compatible?
  10. Format of version identifier (found in +Maker description): YYYYMMDD PLEASE contribute, make suggestions, etcetera. Also, there is a weird glitch that caught me off-guard (so I don't know why it suddenly started doing it), where blank lows equal 0, blank highs equal -999, and blank lows and highs (together) equal 0 (for both). Therefore, a low or high of 1337 is a temporary replacement, meaning that no limit has been verified, confirmed, found or identified (yet?) for that particular setting. PS. I plan to have three editions of the complete product. Standard edition will have the same ordering that you are used to. Revisited edition will have the Terrier and Weasel order fixed, but will be larger in filesize by approximately 47033 bytes (45.93 KB). Profile edition will order ships one ship category at a time (instead of by setting or function), and will also be larger in filesize by approximately 47033 bytes (45.93 KB). EDIT2: Also, I failed to mention that the complete product will also have ASSS-related settings as well (those will be marked in the description as ASSS-only). EDIT: I realize that the description for Latency:C2SNoDataAction is a tad too long. Version 20100326 template.zip
  11. And who is this?

    Hola

    When is he getting married?
  13. Antarctica. I would have said Switzerland, but Switzerland is no longer a neutral country. Move to a neutral country, or die. Unfortunately they're beginning to take over the world. I'd love to move to Australia though.
  14. Amen. http://www.businessweek.com/news/2010-03-22/house-approves-landmark-u-s-health-care-overhaul-legislation.html WT that's $94 billion per YEAR. This bill is going to rip the US apart.
  15. I'm lazy. What does this bill do?
  16. I didn't mention your name on purpose Aquarius, cause I didn't want you to come after me with banhammers. =D

    BUGS!!!

Sorry, Audry is property of CRe Industries. What kinds of services does CRe Industries offer?
  18. Not really a requirement, Samapico. A zone must meet the minimum requirements you linked to to be able to attain SSC. However, PoLiX would at least like to see that a zone that he is reviewing is at least trying to complete their zone and do something. Although I bet I could possibly get Jackpot SVS -- though a 'dead zone' -- on SSC (but it is not in my desire to get Jackpot SVS on SSC anytime in the near future for various reasons). I don't believe that "population," at least the way most people in this community take it is, is the point of Subspace. I think if you think that that's what Subspace is all about, you're missing the point entirely and should rethink some things about the game. The game is about having good, old time fun with a group of friends and buddies, perhaps on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday nights. It doesn't matter if a zone has "0 pop" as long as you have a group of friends that enjoy the zone together whenever. That, my friend, is what Subspace is about. Trying to find a zone that has a living constant population isn't necessarily a bad thing either, or the whole "0 vs 30/100+" pop deal either, but if that's all you go by for Subspace, you are missing it. Anyway, just my opinion. (Credits to TGS for revealing to me a totally new perspective.)
  19. lol. "DO NOT OVERCLOCK YOUR COMPUTER. THAT IS THE DUMBEST THING I'VE HEARD ANYBODY DO." This guy should run a gaming/computer-enthusiast blog. "SHUT OFF ANTI-ANTI-STALLING." <-- wt? poor guy.. I wonder who misled him.
  20. hlrse.net went offline yesterday. It's back online now, though I may or may not boot ds.hlrse.net back up until things get sorted out. Our webserver backups are being downloaded in fear that the HDD may be failing, so we aren't booting up any of the regular services like Apache, MySQL, etc, until we get everything settled. ds1.hlrse.net on the other hand is alright. (But if hlrse.net goes offline, so does the DNS for ds1.hlrse.net.)
  21. Probably Xog.
  22. Send a complaint to MySpace via supposedly some link at the footer of the e-mail and request that they reveal the e-mail address of the individual who did this (so that you can face your victim and they can face their accuser).
  23. dllcore.cpp (Line 10) BotEvent makeInit(CALL_COMMAND c, CALL_PLIST p, CALL_FLIST f, CALL_MAP m, CALL_BLIST b, CALL_PARAMS params) { BotEvent event; event.code = EVENT_Init; event.p[0] = (void*)((CORE_MAJOR_VERSION << 16) | (CORE_MINOR_VERSION)); event.p[1] = (void*)c; event.p[2] = p; event.p[3] = f; event.p[4] = m; event.p[5] = b; event.p[6] = params; return event; } I did a search for "host" and "struct" (which probably has something to do with host structure), but found no function or string or whatever that has both.
  24. k, those are instructions from Invader-Zim's readme to his AI bot. He never packaged his AI bot with the required MERVBot.exe. And I'm sure that there's no point in looking for him, as he's long gone.
  25. Because I have absolutely no clue what that quote in my OP means. I wouldn't even know where to start or how to do any of it. As far as the IDE, I would be using DevC++ (http://www.bloodshed.net/devcpp.html).
