Machu banned from World Discussion forum... Not quite Jail, internment (sp?) camps... Kinda like the ones in Germany, just without the testing and killing. And also when they we're freed they we're treated like shit still.

I learned mostly from finding open source programs, basic ones. Looking at what they did, and comparing the code they used... Granted this was back in like 99-01 era, so there is sure to be LOTS more info on the web now.

Yeah. The server has been having issues for a lot of people on both sides of the US. It is central, so only natural there. TT is really good about monitoring it, so must be something outta our control.

Windows 7 is previous to Vista and has had even more time spent on it than Vista (which began dev even before XP was released). Then they took some of the features planned for Windows 7 and built them into Vista. I never really heard much about Vista pre-releasing except when it was codenamed "Longhorn", but I have heard lots about Windows 7 from a friend who got into MS. They've been taking lots of feedback from Vista into Windows 7, and improving on what they had before even. The GUI has changed something like 20x, and I guess Ballmer wanted it to have the same feel as Vista upon release, so you get a lot of the current Vista crap in there. His company, so goes his way sadly. I've switched between *nix and Windows for a while now, but a Vista built laptop w/ XP on it has been my fav so far. Though I will give Windows 7 a good thurough play once it is released.

Well XP was outbenching Vista on some things, but I guess Windows 7 outbenches them both on almost everything. Might need to look to see if it is up on my favorite forums yet or not.

Entered the new years curled up with the g/f, a drink, and Star Wars Music... Glad to see my tax payer money going to some good, mhmm. It's a fun 7min to watch, granted wish I coulda made it down there this year.

Do you have a "logs" folder? If not, try making one. if so, make sure that it isn't read only. I don't remember what other settings vista has with writing files privleges.

Heard it from quite a few reliable sources. But honestly (not trying to offend any zones here, just being honest) but it is hosting nothing more than a bunch of dead zones. That or zones working on development that really don't have much pop. Waste of money to have a large server just for that imho. Especially if it is the same server they had long ago hosting a bunch of larger zones and their bots without any issue. I'm sure SSCE or SSCC could help some of them with hosting for that if they really need it.

Wow, some useful ss news for once? Ya? ok, maybe not too much. Seems the server finally is working again as the website is back up, but the zone is still down. From their forums, sounds like server is fine, but the zone just isn't showing up or letting anyone connect. Must be a firewall issue or somethin.

My g/f brother said it was awesome and he loved it. Keeps telling me I should get it, so debating taking a look at it. Probably a demo out there on 360 to try.

Topic was a waste, but currently the report system is a pos. In 3.0 the report system will be a very useful tool for us. Every post has a "REPORT!" button, click it. In 3.0 there will be a section of the site just for monitoring these, and it will also show us these on the top of the forum upon logging in (as in your case you can see with admin access on Test forum).

The Warns we're from the 4 topics you bumped from NOVEMBER. Not earlier this month, not 1 or 2 of em, but 4 topics that had their last posts in the range of the 16th to the 24th of NOVEMBER. The topics we're dead, and you we're using them to back your point that they we're dying because of falling to page 2. Now there we're a few from page 2 from this month that you also bumped and others posted in in reply yelling at you about bumping, etc. Maybe 1 or 2 real replies, but yeah. Rules say 10+ days, so really, I coulda put ya past the 100 mark, but I just did it to . And if you notice, most the donators are mods or admins, or anonymous. Rootbear is the only one who donates outside of the staff. You all whine and complain about him, but he helps fund some of the stuff you have/use around here. (Note: 2pac's donation was in a never ending attempt to get rootbear banned. Sadly for him, bribes don't work).

1. I added the forum because the other admins we're saying Cham was bugging them all about it. 2. World Discussion has ALWAYS been in General, always. Last time we added any non-Subspace forums they we're in another category or a subforum of another forum. Just as was the case here. 3. I recently combined all of the Development section since it was really becoming a dead category, and I wanted to bring more light to the fact we do have zone forums here. Adding another category in there for 1 forum would look stupid, and the only place it looked right logged in as a user was at the bottom of the forum. 4. I didn't want to have tons of "Moved:" threads in general, nor confuse the poster by moving their post (as I stated in Private Discussion), so I said leave them where they are. And before it comes up, my Steam post was partially geared towards continuum, and eventually the entire topic was about it. 5. I had said I didn't want the forum, so why would I give support to it? Last time, I was fine in re-adding it, and wanted to help it get going if it was going to. But it failed for the 3rd time then, and I didn't really feel like putting in effort on the 4th time. So cham had to do the work of getting it going if he wanted it to. I saw nothing being done here in linking or anything, and I saw the normal amount of daily visitors, and him visiting multiple times a day. I assumed he wasn't going to put any personal effort into it, beyond asking for it and expecting us to do the work on something we didn't see the need for. I then decided after Swift saying to remove it many times, to just remove it. No doubt he would of just done it without saying anything to me had the discussion in admin gone on further. Maybe that should clarify some things since everyone wants to make their own reasoning up for me.

The thing is this... Why have a Games Discussion forum on a Forum for a Game... it never made sense to us admins. So it didn't fit in General in anyway (Politics has just been up there forever), so I made it its own category outside of the Subspace Forums. But really, the 21st we're the only posts. The day I added it... And they we're all you. Maybe 1 or 2 on the 22nd, and then dead... It was decided by the admins to remove it, as it really wasn't getting any attention, and the game topics in general we're still pulling attention, so wasn't like game topics we're being ignored. There is lots of other forums out there to visit to discuss games. Hell, my brother has ran 2 different ones in the past, pretty successful. Start your own.
