I think someone lazy owns subspace.net but gave someone else permission to use it as a redirector under dangerously volatile conditions. sscontinuum I think was owned by psyphi/gameplay who got shall we say "terminated" by death+. getcontinuum is supposed to still be under control. getsubspace is owned by doc flabby. Also I think someone got forgetful with subspacehq, hence it moved to ssbase (which is pretty much dead).

  4. Bump. At least make this save in DCME settings. If you want to be fancy you could hash the tileset and use the hash as a key to decide which set of !@#$%^&*ignments to load.
  5. I don't like programs that auto update so I renamed the msinet.ocx. I rarely use a map editor so I can put up with the msinet.ocx missing "nag screen" warning, but it would be nice if you added an option to disable auto updates. Say first time DCME is run it will ask you if you want to enable auto updates, if you select no it won't keep moaning about the missing msinet.ocx. There could also be an option under the help menu to toggle autoupdate on/off so it can be re-enabled.

  10. I got a bad impression after I tried to access their website a few months back and it wasn't working properly for me or anyone else I asked to try it. Also this board has a Gamers Lounge forum for this kind of stuff.
  11. You could release an album when you have more tracks, save people downloading the entire game just for the music.

Could be a problem with the mysql connection timing out, but then again HS is using a custom mysql module so they may have added code to make it automatically reconnect (unlikely though, since they would have merged that fix into the default mysql module). It probably doesn't happen to HS because they have a steady pop so the connection is always busy. Or it could be something else...

  16. If you look in the conf directory there's a file called modules.conf that controls which plugins are loaded. The default modules.conf that comes with ASSS already has sgcompat listed but commented out, just uncomment it (delete any preceeding semicolons ().
  17. Still would be nice if someone can make/find a web based restarter. BDwinsAlt made one, but it's currently private.
  18. I publicly released the halo_hill module (including source) over at Server Help forums. It had been a year since it was made and no one else used it.
  19. [Moved to General Development] Looks like you're having a converstation with yourself. Have you tried loading the sgcompat module into ASSS, that can help some bot plugins work.
