  1. What is that panther from? I have seen it in loads of random places recently, like on t-shirts. Also I was wondering on flickr how do you get the fullsize image? I just see 500x375 pictures.
  2. And in other news Palm (re)invents the laptop: http://www.palminfocenter.com/news/9436/pa...uces-the-foleo/
  3. Yeah closing is another option but someone may want to add something to a thread later.
  4. Instead of appending -ACTIVE- and -DONE-, maybe active topics can be prepended by [REQUEST] and compeleted topics delete the [REQUEST] prefix? I just see no need for a prefix and suffix (makes it harder to quickly scan through the list of topics).
  5. I didn't try signing up through this offer since I already have an account, hopefully it is for all ATI hardware. I know some cards come bundled with games but this looked like a blanket offer to me. Was the box sealed Dav? Strange there's no key.
  6. Well I just fired up Steam and this was on one of the news articles: http://www.steampowered.com/ati_offer1a/ I don't like HL2DM but you might want to try it.
  7. Code - ASSS, standalone tools Web - php, html, css, sql
  8. I saw in the members list there was a separate beta division list. What do those people do? Just test stuff and not actually make it?
  9. Doc Flabby runs PSS, but you don't need to have a public zone in order to make one. I make all my stuff in private on my own computer, doesn't matter if no one else can connect, they don't need to. I only release it to the public when it's ready.
  10. What would be the game type of the zone?
  11. I wouldn't worry about vista admin stuff, a lot of current games must be run as admin anyway (for the cheat detection to work).

  13. I wouldn't mind if they got moved to trash.
  14. Sounds like the original but with a load of background noise getting in the way. http://ssbbn.ytmnd.com/
  15. Any popular format is acceptable, I know how to convert between formats. Thanks for your interest in this project, I just need the sounds for now, I'll let you guys know if I need anymore help.
  16. I'm looking for a sound effect I can use when you talk to NPCs, some kind of unintelligible chatter. I was thinking maybe like when people talk on a phone in old cartoons/films and it sounds sped up and like gibberish. I think GTA1/2 might have some, does anyone have that installed? It would also be nice to get a few of these sounds so I can randomise which one gets played back for variation. I'm also looking for some kind of yoink sound effect as if you were picking up an item, but not like the ones in counter strike.
  17. Slaking? Isn't that some kind of erosion process?
  18. I should do that, I knew a 10 gig par!@#$%^&*ion was a bad idea.
  19. Just going back to the original post I see no reason to merge forums with inf/cr. People in SS very rarely talk about these games, let alone actually playing them (there's just no publicity). The communities most likely have major differences, I can only imagine more power struggles and a greater concentration of trolls. Merging games, not going to happen. Each game has a purpose and attempting to port everything to SS will just cripple the gameplay. As grav already pointed out inf has much higher resolution rotations, something that is essential for infantry games that require precise aiming and making large vehicles have smooth rotation animations. There's also a lot more features in the inf client, shops, class chooser, inventory built in (and I saw all that in just one zone, other zones may have even more features I haven't seen). No need for tedious LVZ coding or chat spam. I haven't heard of the LUA scripting before, I assume they hacked this into the server binary. !@#$%^&*uming it has half decent capabilities it would make the free infantry movement more desirable (developers point of view) than sony's stock server/client. From a players point of view you would probably just be grateful for what you can get.
  20. I thought this said "supermarket breakout" Anyway, I would have done the same thing with the zones on the paddle, except maybe taken the paddle speed into account too, so if the paddle was moving to the right when the ball hit, then it would add some more "rightwards" speed to it.
  21. Newcomers can probably understand hightech weaponary better than some slightly different monster mutations. Plus such weaponary may provide the best eye candy.
  22. Will you still need that launcher program?
  23. How come this thread got moved, but the one right below it in general (or should I say "central") is Van Buren tech demo. The "Team Tracker Program" also looks like it got moved from general to general, there's a "moved link" half way down the page. Also, downgrade (I'm only VIP now ).
  24. No don't put the chatbg.bm2 inside a lvz file. Just place the bm2 in the server folder and add chatbg.bm2 to the [Misc] LevelFiles setting in server.cfg.
  25. Fallout.
