No, look at the code. http://bitbucket.org/grelminar/asss/issue/53/switch-most-arena-messages-to-command BD: I already accepted!!
-
That would be true, except that the post 3 up is automatically wrong. Edit: Except for the edited part.

( is all I've ever been saying all along...it's kind of obvious since we have been talking about ?give x y here not ?give x, LIKE I SAID. Since a Private Message is decidedly not going to be part of the arena message announcing money has been given to the bot, this BREAKS it. And fixing your regex does not fix it. Using a regex does not fix it. You would have to fundamentally change how you accept and do things with money because it's two separate events, not one. KIND OF LIKE YOU SAID. No one was ever talking about changing what ?give x displayed, LET ALONE breaking bots ability to determine how much money was obtained! Your second last sentence basically entirely summed up what I have been saying all along, really. Ask yourself why you needed to defend something I wasn't even questioning. P.S. I challenge BDWinsAlt to score an e-peen point on me without being a vulture scavenging off of misunderstandings. I also preemptively accept any challenge to fisticuffs by him, but he's probably too cowardly to do that. edited to remove auto smileys.

The counting money part isn't the part I was talking about, it was the processing the message part, but thanks for playing. Why on earth would we change what ?give x does? We are talking about ?give x y changing.
-
Cer: private message = separate event. Not so simple as changing a regex.
-
Shouldn't be too difficult to shape it into a PM, too. The fun part is breaking bots that use ?give message. Oh well!

It wouldn't hurt to bump up the minimum give a little bit because $100 is about as easy to throw around at a certain point as $1 would be at any point.

Good thing that I haven't asked anyone to make anything that already exists, in fact I believe I specifically asked them not to. And no I can't agree about fields--they're in a coma, with no brain death. Medical bills are getting pricey though..

BD, cancers don't make [stats] modules. Cancers talk about making them, but talking is all they can do. Adi: If the agenda is making the zone less of a metaphorical butt crack, why is it a bad thing? Frankly, even if he had less than benevolent intentions, yet another abusive mod would be an improvement over the near-anarchy of today.

Better than wanting to be a cancer.

MGB seems to be down for me, so I can't link the original post, but I'll just mention that I've been having trouble with Continuum .40 ever since switching to OpenSUSE 11.2. 11.2 + Any Wine Version with patch + Continuum .40 = segfault when the zone list pops up. .39pr1, .38, and probably other versions: no problem. Also maybe I'm missing something here, but I haven't found anything written about why we have to use a patch and don't submit an actual bug report about the issue? It's really not feasible to keep up with the latest version (which amazingly enough some of us need for things other than Continuum) but then source patch whenever there's a binary incompatibility or absolute need to keep other changes to kernel32.

I mean it couldn't be used as an automatic punishing system. What happens if you have $0 or low enough anyway? Also, bypassing the ?give restrictions. With attaching that doesn't matter so much because it's just meant as a bonus to lancasters.

TK tax is actually a pretty good idea, with some caveats...

Cerium is a total dick. Now that that's out of the way: have you tried not cheating? Warns are for letting you know you're doing something wrong. Why would you get a warn for doing something you already know is wrong? You should give him credit for not treating you like kids who don't know anything and don't know better. There's no free pass. As for provoking him and getting kicked for that: if you're going to pick a fight, then you should man up if you get kicked in the shins, otherwise you're a pussy. It must be something in the water, HS drives any staff person into either obscurity, retirement, or insanity.

Mav HZ is the most innocent player in the zone.

the spider used to be a nightwasp, and the cool thing was to stick with l1 guns for maximum spammage, if you don't remember this, you should get to work on a time machine for "looking back at the settings" while the rest of us just dig up more memories

shark was a plain 6 bounty nonupgradeable ship for newbies that was better than a stock ship. it was normal size and was not used outside of center seriously at all. it had a level 2 nonbounce gun, don't think it had a bomb. if you do not remember this, don't say things like "before arnk came to hs" because you don't remember that far back.

There are only two barriers to making something _for HS_: it being done better first, and it being outside of what doc wants for HS. Both of these things are unlikely. From where I'm standing: The disconnect you speak of is mostly that the "devs with the highest access" all know from experience how tough things are to make (it's really really easy to misunderstand the difficulty and tedium of any given task that you never actually watch being done.) Just remember: it is a complete fiction that you need any access at all to make something, though, many players also seem to falsely associate "having power" with "being able to make something." It simply is not true.
-
well you can choose to believe that's even remotely close to when it changed to shraplevel, but then you'd be choosing to be wrong. i'll give you a hint, all of the bombs have had shraplevel properties for exactly as long. do you happen to remember when entropy missile was introduced? not 2 weeks ago, not 2 months ago.
-
what is it that I've lost?
-
not really, though. it's been like this for longer than i can remember.

Learning how to do nothing and expect everything, I suppose.

...Yes? The one was traded for the other.

Bugs happen. You get what you pay for. There's nothing embarrassing or laughable about it (as far as the angles you're coming from.) Other zones don't seem to have the kinds of problems HS does because of two things: they are interested in playing good games (so even if something is breaking they don't go out of their way to break it more), and the players give back to the zone. They don't wait for volunteers to give them something first, either. Don't be ridiculous. You still seem to think you know anything about the jobs in this zone, which is strange because you are not and have never been a job holder here nor the person to decide what the jobs are. Can we do this runaround some more? This is a community game, and everyone has an equal stake and requirement to take responsibility for the community. That's how free games operate.

It boosts the level of your shrapnel ("shraplevel.")
