Unfortunately for all of us, those qualifiers were redundant. If you think one player is the problem, then let's ban that one player. If almost every player is the problem, which is almost certainly the case, then we're talking about the status quo ever since the two freq system was put in place--only now it's not nearly as dreadful because of the reasons Doc pointed out.

    Could. Though it'd be pointless if they didn't also make it a correct simulation. Really that part is not even as hard as an AI that plays better than someone with one finger--and I have yet to see anyone do either.

  15. Rare never had anything to do with this stuff, anyway. Really all of this stuff has been done by Doc, though various maps within the same template have been done by other people. What I'm saying is that these things Doc is not willing to commit time to are at least things he can commit some fraction of the time explaining to someone else.
  16. Give him the transwarp and gate settings to tweak and then upload to test zone before putting it live. He can also do any LVZ work.
  17. Prox bombs do less damage, though. Especially L1.
  18. Considering how many bullets are in play it'd make more sense to write up a module to do hit% stats. Of course considering people use single/multi for different things it wouldn't exactly be very useful to compare between guns, only between players with the same gun. For example, a bounce gun will probably hit more in a base than a multi gun, and a multi bounce gun negligibly more than that. With some effort you could make it distinguish by area but then it's no longer a zone-neutral module without a lot more work so less cool.
  19. Glad one other person in SS realizes that multi isn't skill-less. It's almost like the gun stats are balanced around doing less damage but hitting more, too!

  21. If it's anything like how powerball friction works though, it's probably not the simplest thing. I don't remember who figured out (reverse engineered?) that one, but their help would be nice. :/

  23. Apple makes some decent hardware. I probably will not buy anything from them first-hand again, though.
